  • The boys and girls in True blood are so fucking hot, love them all!

  • My god! Stephen Moyer's (Bill) voice is so different! its like a completely different person! incredible!

  • (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ~~♡ muahhhh!! :

  • @bellavator94 WOW. I disagree..I loved the books! ...and why the need for such rude remarks about Charlaine? Sheesh!

  • ̿' ̿'\̵͇̿̿\з=(●̮̮̃•̃)=ε/̵͇̿̿/'̿'̿ ̿

  • ugh. charlaine harris is a fat, untalented, conservative wench. alan took her poorly written drivel and turned it into something incredible. her books are shit..but this show is amazing.

  • holy shit. Ryan Kwanten. kjhgfdsaqsdfgh

  • I've read all the books by now. Gonna start watching the show tomorrow

I'm kind of sceptical about Anna as Sookie, but hopefully she'll surprise me positively :D

  • season 3 was awesome love it

  • that $10,000 thing at the end is a scam.

  • @OreoMan951

    How do you know?

    And, dude, thier all scams....

  • @TheVasilisas i've known about scams like these for years on end.

  • 0:15 - 0:17 is my favorite part.

  • I DIDN'T THINK JASON FAKED A COUNTRY ACCIENT!!!!

  • 1:44 Paquin "it's unlike anything anyone else has ever done" - um, actually, it's got a hell of a lot in common with Buffy (i.e. vampires in modern-day USA, humor, horror, sex). I love TB, it's a great, clever, stylish, at times hilarious show, but no, it isn't absolutely ground-breaking or original in terms of the genres it covers (and neither are Harris's books). Joss Whedon has to be given credit, it really was his idea first. He was the real pioneer of this.

  • @TyrannySue flying the whedon flag. :D woop woop

  • @TyrannySue I guess he was the pioneer for "vampires in modern America" setting on TV, but I'm sure it was written about before (not that I don't LURVE Whedon, though). Even Interview with the Vampire ends in current times. The thing that is considered original about TB is that vampires are out of the coffin: recently, but deliberately and organizedly exposed to the public.

  • @AnkokuEvangeline I still don't think that anyone who is aware of the last 20 years or so of popular American culture can say (dispassionately anyway) that True Blood (and/or Harris's books) are "unlike anything anyone else has ever done". Either Paquin is startlingly unaware or she's carried away and/or attempting to promote the show without really thinking about what she's claiming. Of course there are some differences, but it's hardly 100% original as Paquin claims.

  • (Oh, and yes, of course it was written about before Buffy, but I'm talking about on-screen "vampires in modern America" {not to mention the young blonde heroine with special powers}. It's been written about and made into films for a very long time. I mean, look at the original Nosferatu.)

  • @TyrannySue Of course she was promoting the show, You know the drill: "SOO original," "my best job so far," "The cast & crew feel like family"...

But looking for similarities in Buffy and TB is a little pointless. Buffy is a character-based show (premise: what if the typical blonde horror victim could kick ass? The Slayer!), TB is more of a world-based show (premise: Vampires are out of coffin; how will humans/vamps themselves/other species react?). Both are original compared to the rest of TV.

  • @AnkokuEvangeline AnkokuEvangeline, my comment was entirely in response to the Paquin quote. As far as looking for similarities between Buffy and TB, when someone says that TB is "unlike anything anyone else has ever done" the actual similarities are gob-smackingly obvious.

  • @TyrannySue You need to stop taking promotion videos so literally. They're, you know, PROMOTIONAL.

But I have to agree with the general idea that TB is one of the most original shows on the market right now. I honestly find the "Vampires out of the coffin" concept very fresh. (Movie reference time! Perfect Creature takes a different, but still interesting approach to it; Daybreakers takes it even further and make the vampire race dominant).

  • @AnkokuEvangeline Goodness, you seem to be getting yourself all upset over not much, AnkokuEvangeline. You need to take a step back and take a breath, from the sounds of it. There's certainly no need for shouting.

  • @TyrannySue Funny, you sounded like the only one being angry. I was not shouting, I was stressing and such (kinda hard to deliver through writing ^_^'). Anyway, just wanted to tell you not to get so upset about TB's promotion. There's tons of other shows that need deserved criticism ^_~

  • @AnkokuEvangeline AnkokuEvangeline, were you not aware that writing in all capitals is generally considered shouting? You can always use asterisks for emphasis. Anyhow, you seem to have misinterpreted my comments. As I attempted to clarify before, my comment was specifically in response to the broad claim about the show being "unlike anything anyone has ever done before". I'm not sure why you keep trying to take issue with it, but I stand by my original comment.

  • @123vampirebabe I feel the same way! I was obsessed with Twilight for so long! But in all reality, it takes all the fun out of the vampire world. This show I think has the most fun depiction of vampires. This is what vamps are about: blood and sex :D

  • I watched Twilight, loved it, got obsessed. Then watched The Vampire Diaries, loved it, got obsessed, hated Twilight (because I saw what a real vampire is supposed to be, which is not a disco ball in the sun), then I watched True Blood, loved it, got obsessed, hated Twilight even more.

True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and Buffy The Vampire Slayer (and Angel) are shows that don't take away the horror of a vampire. They don't down play it so ten year olds won't be scared. Vampires are SUPPOSED t

  • @ThatsItForTheDay OMG! you and i have alot in common. we both used to be obsessed with twilight. i got sick of it after i realized that it's lame and takes away the horror of vampire. i hate it even more now. now i'm totally obsessed with true blood!

  • @ThatsItForTheDay so true :)

    fuck twilight

  • @friendsrules101 Anna Paquin is from New Zealand so she has to put on an accent too ;) just so ya know

  • Cool

  • female 19

  • my favourite show right now =)

    <3

  • I wanna no what the average age is on the viewers so please reply this message by saying your age and sex for funs sake. =)

  • @golddigger0325 Well im 18 and loveeee this show! XD

  • @golddigger0325 female 19

  • @golddigger0325 im 15 and i absolutely LOVE it too

  • Does anyone else think Ryan looks a bit like Jesse Spencer? (Not because of the accent).

  • Dude I had no idea Jason wasn't American!!! lol cool :)

  • @rokinchik9009 he used to be in a show called home and away. do they show it in america? its australian but they show it here in england its the best show ever....apart from true blood that is lol! but anyway, his name was vinnie in home and away. he hasnt changed abit!

  • Jason is sooo hot!!

  • Jason???? He's a nice english bloke!!!! Not the red-neck we all know and treat like marmite! (We either love him, or hate him).

  • @JaneEyreNut... Ryan Kwanten( Jason Stackhouse) is Australian making him an Aussie, not an Englishman. HOT!

  • @ksb78 Fair enough. I couldn't make my mind up when I was listening. But yes, he's HOT! Lol.

  • ...Not to mention that true blood and the novels (which the series is based on) is for people who like a well written story.

  • true blood's got everything ;) can't wait for season 3!!!!!!!!

  • didn't know bill's british !! his accent is just great..

  • He isn't. he's English, an Englishman. Anyway, the Southern accent comes more natural to us than the Yankee accents, I'd say Bill's southern accent is ok and Alexanders twang ok also. I'm impressed by that Swedish guy.

  • yes, I agree that True Blood is aimed at adults, not just teens or very young adults. Of course, TB appeals to all age groups. And Eric? He IS a full grown man with all the sex appeal of a sexually experienced creature. There is no denying that he knows who he is and what he wants. He knows HOW to get it and WHAT to do with it WHEN he gets it. One can only hope that a 1000 yr old Vamp who looks like a Viking God would be that knowledgeable! LOL

  • i cant wait 4 season 3!!!dis is torture!!

  • What?!

A loud redneck white trash Jason Stackhouse is played by a soft-spoken nice Australian man!

Now that's what I call acting.

  • True Blood Rocks Show and Books

  • The besttt ever <3 true blood rocks

  • i'm addicted to this show like a vampire is addicted to blood.

honestly, i can't get enough of it.

i actually can't fucking stand twilight. use to love it. but then it got so overrated and it just pissed me off.

and then i soon realized that the books are a disgrace, the acting in the movie is terrible, so is the storyline. *yawns*

bring on true blood baby. can't fault that programme.

and alexander skarsgard....fuck me. that man is bloody gorgeous. yum! yum!

  • Comment removed

  • 1:52 they actually set the whole house on fire !! :O Well done.

I'm really curious about season 3, True Blood is great show, with great cast and crew.

  • I didn't know the guy who plays Jason has a British accent! That's awesome.

  • Correction: Australian accent*

I have a pretty bad ear for distinguishing the two, lol.

  • @ThatBeatCalledLove doesn't that just make him 10 times better?? :)

  • Definitely! I'm always impressed when an actor can convincingly hide their own accent in order adopt the accent of their character.

  • Ryan is actually Australian. They do American accents real well. Bill/Stephen is British. Sookie/Anna was raised in New Zealand.

  • Lol, yeah I know... I corrected myself shortly after that first comment.

  • Season 3 cannot get here fast enought!!

This is the BEST shower EVER!!

  • Australian accent seriously how could you not know.

  • oh my god- ryan kwantan was sooo not that hot as Vinnie on home and away! Still it is so great to see so many aussies doing well on american tv shows- it's great to hear our accent in interviews- makes me feel very patriotic! I have to say though that Alex O'Laughlin is still the hottest Aussie actor around ;0))

  • Oh man, I love Alex. He is freaking awesome. He is so good, along with Ryan, at portraiting an American accent. I cannot wait to watch him in The Backup Plan with JLo.

  • @charmedgirl999

Actor Alex O Lachlan is Australian and he is in the Backup Plan with JLo, but the Alex on TB is Alexander Skarsgard and he is from Sweden. Both are incredible with American accents. I would love to see O Lachlan on TB as well cause he was a great vamp on the series Moonlight.

  • @Superkyler1 I know, I think I was commenting on someone else talking about Alex O'Laughlin. I love him and Alexander Skarsgaard. And another Moonlight fan! Hoo-ray!

  • I'm not sure I could fake a Southern Accent that well and I'm from Virginia.

  • HAHA I don't think I could either, and I'm from Texas.

  • Ryan Kwanten (Jason) doesn't have a British accent, it's Australian, you silly sausages :3

  • Silly sausage :D

  • Ryan Kwanten's Australian for all who don't know so he will have an Australian accent. It's almost as if most of the actors/actresses in TB are not American :-/

  • What the hell i didnt know Ryan Kwantan had an accent! he sounds so country in the show!

  • I want some sookie

  • Wtf? Ryan Kwanten has an accent? I had no idea!!!

  • aussie

  • To my ears (Australian), The southern accent has much longer vowels, whereas we have short ones, and seem to speak quicker.

  • yeah, ryan is Australian

  • Ummm an American Southern accent sounds the same as an Aussie or British one? Do I really have to explain o_0

  • Nobody is ignorant for not knowing that the actors with a Southern accent on a show are really an Aussie or British until they speak off camera.

It's just called being surprised that an actor has a totally opposite accent.

    It's not that serious.

  • Wow look at Jason's attitude back then 0:57-1:06 compared to now. He's still dumb as hell lol but he has matured a little more.

  • WOAH i did not know the guy who played jason had an accent like that!!

  • Me too! It caught me by surprise!

  • No I'm not twelve. No need to get personal. If sex and all that blood doesn't gross you out then good for you.

  • If you're not 12, you are way too immature to be watching True Blood with your comments. Just stop watching and let us enjoy this amazing show which encompasses so many elements of entertainment, including sex between 2 people who love each other. Go to bed.

  • @AishwaryaWorld who doesn't love a bit of sex?

but yeh, a lot of people hate it. but a lot love it.

    i love it :)

too many movies/shows out their catering for young kids.

    for example, twilight.

  • best show ever

  • damn, how do the actors loose their accents on the show

  • why does that make you mad ? who cares if hes an aussie..

  • its not that it actually makes me mad, its just i Never knew he was Australian. All the movies ive seen him in, he was always American

  • dude ryan and stephen have the sexiest accents ever!!

  • Its interesting to hear there real accents

  • im so addicted to it now. Sam. Jason. i dunno their real names (yet) but...DAMN !

  • Sam=Same Trammel

    Jason=Ryan Kwanten

  • SOOKIE SOOKIE< YUR THE REASON WHY IM SUCK TO HBO. and true blood

  • nah, that was enough to ruin the season for the rest of us thanks (heavy on the sarcasm)

  • no chance theyre gonna have the tru blood drink available in england is there?. i mean the show Just aired over here..and were nota big market in comparison to the U.S

  • correction this drink going be available on september 10,is a orange soda!!

  • the true drink TRUE BLOOD was coming on november ( i think) i saw this on HBO today 08/13/09 the creator said is with a litle tast of blood!! I will be waiting for this!

  • Eric and Bill are the hottest characters

  • Thanks for posting this video!

  • Im addicted to this show!

  • me too

  • lol last nights show was cool! and all the boys on the show is like fucking hot! they are yummy! lol!

  • I love this show so muchh!

    Tonights episode was amazing.

  • love it :)

  • Holy Shit!!! Jason is an Aussie! lol... that just blew my mind lol

  • haha, yeah!

he used to play vinnie on home and away, waaaay back in the day! :D

  • love it

  • so much diversity! another reason why i love this show

  • twilight is for kids true blood is for us redhot blooded adults...i love this show :)

  • Amen. :P

  • @neira911

    absolutely correct..

  • @neira911 I watched twilight but It could never compare to the feeling I get when I watch True Blood and by the way I'm a 15 year old girl and True Blood isn't only for adults It's also for those mature teens out there... : )

  • @Ishah234 Yes it is! I'm 16 and i can't stand twilight, but i absolutely love true blood.

  • @greasergirl1000 good to know : )

  • @greasergirl1000

me too --- True Blood rocks!!!! I'm 16 andTB could crush twilight w/ a snap -- the acting, cast, and storyline is waayyyyy better --- none of that dry corny ones from d twilight saga hehe, but i guess it's b/c they're adult actors but still =D

  • Jason is not british . He's an Aussie.

  • The dude who plays Jason is in that show Summerland!

    haha

  • and before that vinnie on home and away

  • surprising how well they faked the accents, wow i wonder if they did it better then most Southerners lmao =) jk

  • I know, I'm shocked! I had no idea!

  • lol wasnt the new ep amazing !!!! cant wait really cant !! p.s please try to put "spoiler" warning you may ruin for people. xx

  • Wow, I didn't even know Jason had an original British accent. That's really neat, considering he did the Southern accent SO well. I didn't even think he was faking it, like most.

    I'm impressed.

  • Lol Jason is british!

he did his accent really well

  • No, he's Australian.

  • i love jason's ozzie accent and bills is so hot, i love this show soo much i can't wait 'till season 2 is out in oz! true blood is so much better than twilight and i think that twilight stole the whole vamp thing.

  • haha!cant believe you guys didn't know jason didn't have an accent.he used it on summerland{{then again.a lot of people prolly didn't watch that}}.but he does do a southern accent better then the people i know{{&im from TN!}}.as lafayette said though,he is sex on a stick,&bill is gorgeous!!

  • bill is so damn sexy

  • OMG Jasons ozzie accent is so shocking!!id never have guessed and Bills accent is awesome also!!! i love Bill, he is SO gorgeous and i SO nearly spoiled it for myself cuz i was about to read a comment that said that sookie finds out that bill...... i scrolled away from that cuz im only on season 1 episode 6!!so i wouldve died if i found out smething i didnt want to know, bt now i no he did smething!!!!!=[ hes SO fine tho ryt?

  • Don't worry about that Bill comment. It doesn't have anything to do with season 1 on HBO. It's something that happens later on in the books... so maybe you'll see it in Season 3 of the series.

  • i no when u hear the actors real accents its so wierd!!! the actor hu plays jason used to be in an australian soap tv show called Home and Away which i watch and i remember when he was on it! so when i saw true blood i was like OMG! its so cool hes making ti big now! LOVE TRUE BLOOD!

  • Yeah, they do very good southern accents. I was impressed with how well they wield it. I would think it would be a difficult accent to emulate.

  • Have you heard the accent of someone from Southern Louisiana? Now that may be much harder to copy.

  • YOU LIE!!

  • I'm on the fourth book :)

Oh my goddd, Jason is british... his accent is sexayyy

  • i did not know jason from trueblood in real life had a acsent

  • me either! Its sexy :)

  • I have read the whole series...It is Awesome!!!!

  • Actually there are a total of 9 books in the Southern Vampire Mysteries. 1. Dead Until Dark, 2. Living Dead in Dallas, 3. Club Dead, 4. Dead to the World, 5. Dead as a Doornail, 6. Definitely Dead, 7. Altogether Dead, 8. From Dead to Worse, and 9. Dead and Gone (just release in May 2009). I've read each of these books and loved everyone of them. The tv series has change some of the details in the book. Despite the changes, the series is great and so is the novels.

  • Cool! I love this show..

It's very strange hearing some of them speak in a British accent btw

  • good gawd! can someone just tell the rest of us who have no hope of ever reading the book what Bill did? Plzzz??

  • Sookie finds out that Bill was sent to Bon Temp to befriend her by the queen of Louisiana because of her ability to read mind. Pisses Eric off also. However, Bill did fall in love with her, but of course, Sookie doesn't believe it.

  • he also cheated on her with his maker lorena and when sookie saved him he kinda raped her.

  • Yup, that all happened in the books, but no spoiler there because Alan Ball does not strictly follow the books, so none or some of it may or may not happen. I hardly think about the books when it comes to TB (I've read them all) unless I know he's bringing in a character that is in the books, then I'm curious who gets the role, what they look like compared to how I imagined them. The 2 are different, which is good. I'm addicted like many to that damn show. It's like crack!

  • someone PLS spill the beans, what did bill do? what did he do that was so bad???

  • june 14th please arrive tomorrow!

  • I just love all the characters and the actors that play them. I also love the fact that the show is very realisitic and you feel like they can actually exist and walk amongst us. I personally can`t wait for second season!

  • stepehen moyer, my god. so hot

  • The first book from The Southern Vampire Mysteries is called Dead Until Dark by the way.

  • I love the books and the show and the people chosen to play the charechters! I love the unknown species

  • By the way ERIC is...ohh my God!!!incredible...and i think that book 4 is gourgeous i love him! i used to like bill but since i heard about his role in sookie's life i hated him!!! Go vampires..!!!!

  • i agree !! omg i just love eric!!!

  • oke...i see that a lot of people thinks that twilight is a copy of true blood...really?... if you watch with attention both films or read the books you'll see that the only thing they have in common is the love beetwin a human girl and a vampire!so apreciate that finally someone decided to show another part of vampires!I personaly love both, true blood and twilight!

  • bill is so cute i just love vampires soo much

  • i love this show so much. it needs to come on now. and ryan is so hot. oh my god. <3

  • Ryan Kwanten should have been nominated for best supporting actor......he is amazing!

  • I have watched this series twice and can watch it again. It just doesn't get old. It's somewhat painful to have to wait until the summer for the next series. "True Blood" and "Weeds" have to be my favorite shows.

  • Wait, so does that mean it's going to continue this summer?

  • i like the guy who plays jason. lol only bcuz he's australian!

  • anybody else think it's trippy when the actors use their real accents? after watching the entire season and gettin used to the Southern twang... it's like Christian Bale (how he switches from and European brogue to that of an American aristocrat so well).

would neva thought Ryan was Australian! damn!

  • just read the second book today and aside from a few interesting moments, I hope to Christ the show goes in a different direction. From what I gather, if the the show stays faithful to the novels Eric will be the main character next to Sookie - It works in the books but I believe most of us will miss Bill - Not that the actor that plays Eric is bad - he's very good - the shift just doesn't seem appropriate.

  • oh I already know what he did, I'm still gonna miss him lol.

    I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Bill.

  • OMG! what did he do?????
