Not true. If the pink is not hooked up, dvd's wont show on the screen. Used to have to hook the pink wire to a toggle to do the parking brake sequence. The code twisteds talking about is the "master" code that lets you into the jensens "hidden" menu. Dealers use it when unit is on display. You can just google "jensen bypass code" to get the walkthrough. Guess you'd know this if you owned any in-dash, almost all have a parking brake wire that needs to be hooked up to watch DVDs, lol!
