The best way to deal with it is to move on and be done. I know you feel you are "exposing" them but it just makes you look bitter. I think every religion and church has their own disgruntled. Malachi 4:5 promises that the prophet Elijah will return before Messiah establishes His earthly kingdom. The angel announcing John's birth said he would go before Jesus in the spirit and power of Elijah (Luke 1:17), thus indicating that someone other than literal Elijah (ie John who was like Elijah) could fulfill the prophecy.

You make a very good point about Thomas. Still, doing a pledge to the flag of the United States is a matter of conscience according to the U.S. Supreme Court. The best way to deal with it is to move on and be done. I know you feel you are "exposing" them but it just makes you look bitter. I think every religion and church has their own disgruntled. That is why they move on and find another religion or just are done with religion in general. Malachi 4:5 promises that the prophet Elijah will return before Messiah establishes His earthly kingdom. The angel announcing John's birth said he would go before Jesus in the spirit and power of Elijah (Luke 1:17), thus indicating that someone other than literal Elijah (ie John who was like Elijah) could fulfill the prophecy.

It's equating saluting to a flag with Thomas' exclamation as mentioned that doesn't seems to make sense to me. I gather people die and or kill for their country, even though it's against the Bible to kill someone. As I understand, there's a commandment that one must love God above all others, hence he can only pledge loyalty/life to Him. If one is willing to sacrifice his life for his country, I doubt it's even considered "godly." My two cents.

Maybe you should ask the Jehovah's Witnesses and they will tell you exactly what they believe instead of putting a video on YouTube. It doesn't matter really what you decide to do when you get those magazines. Its Jehovah's organization and thats the way Jehovah wants his organization to be preaching. True Christians are serious about who they would pledge allegiance to. To form a pledge to be doing what the 'one' pledged to wants. If we pledge allegiance to the U.S. we would be following MAN'S rulership. Jesus said to put the KINGDOM FIRST-Matthew 6:33,"Keep on then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness..." A pledge is a promise. The pledge of allegiance claims that one nation is under GOD. Is the U.S. really the "one" nation under God? Revelation 7:9 says that will be shepherded by Jesus (verse 17) will be out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues. The U.S. is claiming they are on God's side and have his authority, thus the phrase "under God".This is a promise to do whatever the GOVERNMENT WANTS as it is supposedly "under God". Matthew 4:17 is when Jesus started preaching. He taught his disciples to preach in Matthew chapter 10. Matthew 10:14 tells them to go house to house. Matthew 24:14 says this good news of the kingdom will be preached..."
Jesus told his disciples to make disciples at Matt: 28:19,20,"... make disciples..."

Dont you know what it means to pledge allegiance to a flag and to a republic for which it stands? Can you pledge allegiance to God and at the same time to a country? JWs are subjects to the heavenly kingdom and dont have dual citizenship and only serve one master. Look what happened to Israel when they made alliances with the nations around them. Jesus is going to destroy all governments so if you have an allegiance with them, what will be your fate?

You make a very good point about Thomas. Still, doing a pledge to the flag of the United States is a matter of conscience according to the U.S. Supreme Court. I don't think anyone should be forced to say a pledge if it is not in their heart. I would rather them seat quietly. You make a very good point about Thomas and I have to agree with your example.

Does it make judges,rulers,divine ones and mighty men of power and angels GOD since they also called those people God?? STRONGS lexicon and the HBB lexicon states those facts also. Thomas had seen that Jesus was the Divine King. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word(Jesus) WAS God. John 1:1 How can Jesus (the Word) be with God, plus be God. He is Divine because Jehovah is Divine. Jesus is not to be worshiped as GOD, bible states that he is second highest

@HowUzLikeMeNow - Excuse me. The Word was NOT Jesus. It is the expressio of God: it was IN God, therefore it was WITH God. As soon as God spoke, the Word went forth to perform God's will!
God SPOKE to the angel, and the angel repeated those words to Mary, and she conceived by the power of God. It was NOT by the power of the word, but by "...the Word of his POWER."
When Thomas knelt before the Lord Jesus, it was because he now SAW (discerned/perceived) past the veil (the body).

@ThePhnxman1 the angel spoke to mary and made her conceive? i use 5 different ones and they all say god's spirit was what made her conceive. frankly i don't care...one is not saved due to the fact one thinks Jesus is god's son or part of god himself. I see evidence that he was his son but also that God's word created things and that word or message from God filled Christ. some things quoted make sense as if its a separate person and then it fits that its his spoken word. Worship YHWH only :)

Reading some of the responses from JWs are actually a little funny. I understand the point you were trying to make concerning an inconsistency of doctrinal teachings.
What the Watchtower of Bable employee Fairnskare didn't mention is Thomas did more than just bow down. He made a confession of faith. "My Lord and my God". My company has plants in China. Some choose to work in the USA if they want. There are many in my office. I have NEVER been greated with 'My Lord and my God".

This can be proven straight from the WT library and their own description of a cult in the 2/15 94 Watchtower. They say "As a result, over the years hundreds of organizations have been established for the purpose of monitoring cults and exposing their dangerous practices." Start with Cultwatch and see who is on their list. The Watchtower society writes biased publications, they do not make videos.
