all the antibiotics are already killing us through milk and other food this is nothing new, everything we eat is either messed with or completely engineered
I highly doubt that the 2 fish they are comparing are at the same stage of development. The GMO fish grows twice as fast as the wild salmon, which means it's going to be bigger faster. No one said that the fish would be bigger than normal overall. The fish are grown on land in pens, not in the sea, so escape is unlikely, and if it were to occur, the fish are being made sterile. Studies have shown that GMO fish aren't likely to survive in the wild anyway bc they don't hunt for food
@soccercb003 in the wild. They get fed by people in the pens. They also don't avoid predators because they don't have predators in captivity. Their chances of survival are exceptionally low.
The answer to saving the food problem is to grow food forests and teach people how to do it. The knowledge is there to make it happen and Bill Mollison has worked tirelessly to grow these food forests, yet most people have never even heard of Permaculture. People need to look it up and study it and teach everyone they know about it and teach people about the evils of Genetically Modified food.
Everything you eat is made of proteins. But try to explain that to the public and you'll get pretty much the same reaction you see in the comments below. FDA is made of the best scientists in the world.

@JesseLH88 I agree with Genetic Engineering for its research and Science value, however, would be wiser to take care of the natural habitat where animals and plants grow naturally, protecting the pristine environment and sharing natural resources. Plus stop once and for all the price-tagging of everything on this planet.
Evolve our "practical wisdom" before destroying ourselves. Nature is the teacher!
Yeah- Proteins that cannot be recognized by the human digestive system, and as a result will cause people to be protein deficient because they don't get any protein but a synthetic or altered kind of protein. Your protein engineering is going to cause massive starvation on the people. Your proteins = FAKE PROTEINS
@CBasie2856 I'm not sure if you're being a troll or not, but...
No one is going to become protein deficient. If these salmon are producing a protein that they did not previously (which may not be true, engineers may have deactivated some genes) it will only account for a very, very tiny portion of their cell mass.
Every mammal makes many thousands of different proteins, yet we can almost always digest them. This is because amylases (chemicals we have that break down proteins) are not specific.
Its been said all over the place that foods such as Vitamin Water offer fake vitamins that just go out into your stool.
I'm sure that any GM food is going to make proteins do the same thing.
Also, maybe it just isn't protein. Maybe its iron, or selenium, or magnesium, or calcium, or vitamin A. What good does a GMO salmon serve? I think that is super fishy that Mansanto is making all these weird looking genetically altered copies of different organisms. A hairless monkey? Come on!!!!!!!!!
@JesseLH88 i don't believe one word you say, so many people are sick and only the rich seem to be healthy, and the poor and lower class have to eat this crap so scientist and corrupted corp can get rich by making this crap.. keep playing god and see where it gets you.
that is resistant to bugs and disease in fact bugs dies when they eat it so if it kills bugs what will it do to Humans? cancers are on the rise and many health problems due to the food we eat. all the genetic codes and cells for all species have been saved in vaults in the Arctic and other places as well while clones are being fed to the rest of Humanity. This is not safe and not the answer. mccdonalds is 1 of the most unsafest foods where do you think there food comes from clone plants animals
this fish isn't actually a fish but a Chimera a fish with different animals species in it to make it grow bigger faster. this is the unlawful and deliberate control of a species what else will these scientist seek to control next. this will eventually replace the natural species until there are no more natural Salmon only a chimera a clone that would be very dangerous for the enviroment for consumption as well, don't think so well look at corn all corn is now a clone
Please read this book to understand who is behind christian destruction, who are our number one enemy, the Synagogue of satan(Revelation 2:9,,3:9).

Bigger isnt always better...These big bad new batch will probably kill the original fishes and then die themselves and send the ecosystem into a nose dive of mass famine for humanity. This is not a simple story guys GMO is evil. and a ploy to poison humanity and our food supply.
@TeleporterM11 Are you saying that someone out there is intentionally trying to destroy the world????? I think you should read about GMOs in some scientific journals and stop being manipulated by the media.

GMO food is crap, anyone who says otherwise is either crazy or knows nothing of nutrition and hazards of what GMO's consist of. Someone commented below about feeding more starving kids, well yes, but feeding them pumped up foods with chemicals and hormones etc etc is not the answer either
I wished people would do more research about GMOs instead of just prejudging it without actual facts. GMO's arent monsters, but essentially organisms with their genetic code only slightly modified to allow the proteins required for growth to increase. Testing should be done, but the idea should not be disregarded.
Id rather feed more people with these fish than watch kids starve. EDUCATE yourselves and learn to make better decisions!
@RAWRRingg I agree that calling this fish Frankenfish is inflammatory. However, what you say about the genetic code being only slightly modified is actually not true. There is no way to simply take a bit of genetic code and insert it into a place on another strand of DNA, since the size of a bit of genetic code verges on quantum mechanical (a handful of large molecules). The best process that has been found is quite disruptive, causing many changes up and down a strand of DNA.
@skuggange no regular people have fish tanks in their rooms and houses, what is the point of having a water-filled fish tank in a body of water? if a tank is in a body of water, it is a controlled body of water, sometimes these tanks are indoors, to ensure their tests are not affected by the environment. but only consuming GM fish also ensures the survival of a threatened population of wild salmon
only if some PETA idiot or animal extremist thinks these fish are abused and tries to release them. they are produced in tanks not the ocean because there would be no way of successful tracking and observation, since salmon die after spawning. Oh yea, and the GM salmon are all FEMALE
GMO is more prominent than I had realized... most ALL BEERs are using GMO YEASTS, plus breads ...and all those companys using the corn, canola, soy and cotton.... yikes!~
Time to grow an organic garden and save seeds. :)!
There were 144 cases over ten years ago of farmers who thought they wouldn't bet caught propegating patented seed, but all the stupid ones were caught.
The company said, "the escape of the fish into the ocean is unlikely and interbreeding is unlikely because the GE salmon will be sterile". Is it just me, or does anyone else think Jurassic Park could come true?
This Mutated Frankenfish is just another step towards endless other health problems for human, mutations in the body, extreme hormonal imbalance, free radicals and a possible future filled with zombie like existence.
SAY NO TO CORPORATIONS AND THEIR SICK GET-RICH-QUICK SCHEMES.
Kathleen Jones From the FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine said today that there is no difference between BAaaaaaa, regular SalmOooon and GMOooooo SalmOoooon. It is also sAaaaafe to Eeeeeat . Bbaaaaaa!!!
This is a serious health and environmental concern. October is non-GMO month...let us all make a serious effort to avoid purchasing anything that has GMOs. Buy only Non-GMO corn, soy, canola, cottonseed, etc.
When we send this message, we hope to reach a tipping point where companies will want our money, so they will opt to stop selling it! We need all of this FRANKENFOOD out of our diets and environment!

We live in a time where quantity rules over quality.
What these sad bastartds don't appreciate yet is that a salmon that is 5 times bigger probabely eats 5 times more which means the demise of other fish.
This is absolutely horrendous! Corporate greed at its best. Anything to make more money, faster...and to hell with harming the public! Don't these people have a conscience? Do you think THEY will eat this poison? No way.
Because non-organic practices use hormones, antibiotics, pesticides and so on. Which ruin our body's and ruin our environment. Organic is the way but we need to abolish Monsanto and stop the government raiding our local/organic farms and natural health stores which they are doing at an increasing rate.
Get used to it. This will be the rule in a few more years, everything will have to grow twice as fast and twice as big. Why do we do this? The answer is easy: The planet no longer produces enough food naturally to feed the people on it. As we pave over crop fields and pollute our waters to the point where nothing will live in it we will be forced to genetically modify everything to keep up with our birth rate. Thats the bottom line, one more mouth to feed every 7 seconds. Zero population growth!
@iwantthisfuckingname Please educate yourself. Your statements are false. If everyone were participating in organic practices then we would be able to support all life on this planet. Poor crop yields and pollution are the exact causes of non-organic practices. Also they are the cause of a lot of health problems we have today. Such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and other diseases.
@truthwarrior0 Sorry. I guess growing up on a farm and working as a commercial fisherman left me a little brain dead. I've caught/killed/cleaned/processed more fish then you'll eat in 10 life times. REAL fish, 100% natural. and get this: Theres TONS of them to be had...as long as the balance of supply and demand works. These "sold out" fish farmers know whats coming ahead, food shortages based on excessive demand. Knowbody factors in population growth. You do the math.
Watch for a new explosion of birth defects and cancer cases in a few years. I'm also sure Monsanto will get in on the profits!! These are scumbag killers who care nothing for people's health.
@linnx88 see how it works, get people sick, get them on more drugs, tell them to eat certain food, give them a shot or vaccine, drink lots of water(fluoridated), have some plastic bottled water(plastic isn't bad right??...ummmmm), wait until that lithium they are saying is great for you gets through the water supply you'll feel healthy as a horse and your kids will all be braniacs!!! Have another diet soda(aspertame) yuk, GMO is great DNA doesn't replicate right? ummm yeah it does WAKEUPSHEEP!
You need to watch the video..."Unnatural Selection" about genetic modified food, fish and plants and what the corporate agri giants are doing........"Unnatural Selection part 1 of 7"...../watch?v=NmxVYeuZDDo
@Eisenmond The fish will most likely be triploided, a process which adds a haploid set of chromosomes to the natural diploid sets rendering the fish infertile (it is now being used extensively on brown trout in the UK), this prevents genetic introgression with the wild stocks. Also studies carried out in Europe simulated what would happen if they escape into the wild, they found growth is almost identical due to the fish not being fed as large quantities of food such as in a farm environment.

they are trying to destroy the creation. If people don't see this, if they are so heavily fluoridated than what can you do? I've told people what aspartame does to them and they don't care. I think the fluoridation plays a great role now and as they used fluoridation in order to create apathy in the interned jews and poles. Do some research please people.
@artsychic2000 I've recently begun the same campaign at my job as well, when I found that I was serving products containing Aspartame. I've stood my ground, presented verifiable information to the GM, and reiterated the dangers weekly with him. It has forced him to move on it and search for alternatives. "Information cures ignorance. If you're in the know, be fucking contagious" ~ Jason Carney
@seraphimra people care about security and money entirely too much. What it is doing to people is criminal. Information is what is needed but unfortunately too many don't want the information. They like or would prefer to be "asleep".
@artsychic2000 My concern is not for those who sleep for they shall surely wake when the ground rumbles and shakes, their foundations will shatter. I found patience and work on standing myself as a matter of fact, matter is fact. That's all we can do this side of influence. Just a being learning to be, stepping out of the constructs and systems this society entrained me to be. Liberty, Truth, Equality will be the tools to instill dignity and finally, set us free.
@seraphimra We've fallen prey to all this shuck an' jive, only tacitly alive, the majority contrived...and your saviour...hmph, he is she is behind your eyes, standing there as life. Who-so-ever denies this truth when thrice crows the cock, shall find themselves abhorrently lost amongst a forgotten lot. ~Timothy Kelly
@ConstantinIV The problem is MAN, the sinner, the unbelieving man who thinks he can play God while on God's planet, the God i serve, worship can still feed people but expects that will all the wealth of the West, we'd share with the poorest among us such as Africa which is willingly sustained in famine by the United Nations that would rather supply vaccines filled with aluminum to poison them, would rather bring them eugenic stupidity such as planned parenthood abortion clinics than to feed 'em
I am not used to GMO food I never throwaway food but last month I ascendency got GMO Tomato and Grapes witch tasted disgusting and I had to throw up and I felt sick afterwards for 2 hours. Monsanto is taking over the world and also my rich agricultural town. there is no consumer protection or labeling its pisses me off now I cant trust what I buy.
@14842 Search for heirloom seeds and buy them quickly, before it's illegal. They are non-GMO and come in all the tastiest varieties. W ww..organicaseeds..com
@xchainlinkx Could it be that 'we' is a projection of 'me'? Take a breath...you feel that? It is life, as you, expressing itself. In a single moment, using breath to remain present, we 'attain' maturity. The mechanism for true change will come from installing an equal money system where greed will be obliterated and life will have value over all else, as without life there is nothing.
it might be a good thing if most of the population is wiped out in 2012 with a pole shift or whatever because people are so messed up immoral and greedy..... our planet and us are a nightmare hell ........how did these greedy idiots get in charge of our food and our governments?!
@hildir "They" got there because of a collective ignor(e)ance and desire to delegate responsibility to others, in lue of standing for ourselves. You would rather see billion die than stand and face self? It is in each of us, this malevolence and disregard. It's been programmed into us through the monetary system which creates the false duality of haves vs. have nots; creating self-perpetuated conflict and disparity. Check out W ww..desteni..co..za and desteni-money..net for solutions.
@oetamFCTC Hmph, you don't realize that it's already happened. Check the obesity epidemic, the flouridation of water supplies, religion(any), etc.. Modifications to humans have left us inept as how to modify ourselves to remain in harmony with and as life. The change you seek, comes from within or not at all. Either we stand as life and support each other equally or....well, let's just say we don't want to pursue that avenue.
@oetamFCTC You've shown yourself that your need no ones pardon by acknowledging truth. I offer the sentiment of apologies for the debilitating effects that I've contributed to, that hinder your countries prosperity. Desteni is working to fix the disparities of this world by teaching each to stand, please come and see for yourself. All are welcome but check your mental baggage at the door.
@ZKY2 Precisely the mentality which perpetuates the system. Instead of falling victim to these archaic systems, we should recognize them as the abusive manifestations of the collective conscious and seek to change it. Humans exist in abuse and we slaughter life, but this isn't the same as being supported and supporting life. Pretty safe to assume that it's your opinion that beings don't give a shit. I do, and I will stand for life, as life. Will you? Or will you continue to make justifications?
@ZKY2 'bring up 'God' no matter what the issue..' - Generalisation and not representative of actual reality(i.e. mental projection)
Negative/benefit- also opinions which change from person to person
Point- Unless it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that these GMOs have no effect what-so-ever on the human genome, these 'foods' should be subjected to the harshed most inexorable scrutiny.
@ZKY2 Masochists associate distress and pain with pleasure, thus negative for you is positive for them. You are playing in the realm of duality which is inherently deceptive in its application. The best option is to consider what is best for all life, within the principle of equality.
@seraphimra There is a difference between positive and negative effects of food on the human physiology, and psychological preferences and you know it. It's apples and oranges.
@ZKY2 Almost, however, current quantum physics and the marriage between eastern and western medicine, postulates that the mind/body connection is inseparable and contingent upon each other. Thus, one who 'feels' younger has lower biological aging markers than their chronological markers. One can love abuse so much that it manifests itself as pleasurable and this phenomena registers itself in the physical as well.
@seraphimra Is this delusional state optimal for sustaining life indefinitely? No, but it does shatter the false dichotomy of negative/positive. Especially considering that these are subjective phenomena, as currently, all beings do not associate longer life with positive. I concede that it is insane and completely backwards in its application, but it has manifested itself none-the-less.
@ZKY2 I bring up God because he is my creator and my belief. I say my opinion because it's allowed. I don't knock your belief because there is freedom of speech. If you don't like what I write, don't read it.
@Umbalafum Speaking of persons like Arga400, whom attempt to counter legitimate concerns regarding the safety of these GMOs for human consumption, especially focusing on it's generational/hereditarial implications. Frustrating when people spread this vermin propaganda, without realizing what they are promoting.
@seraphimra 100% agreed. growth and profit is the god, is valued as a virtue, concern is seen as a restriction of personal liberty, regardless even of the own physical integrity .
@Umbalafum Yes, value is an arbitrary human concept which we associate and lend to money, then we beLIEve its' worth to be greater than that of life--this is insanity, but will change if each is willing to participate and say, "I will not accept nor allow life to be abused. All life is equal and precious." Hitler created hell on earth because of his fervor and knowledge of politics, and we can create the utopia which cynics refer to as idealism. With our hands shit gets done whether good or ill.
@seraphimra I am one vote for world equality and an equal money system which allows all to live a dignified life. As this principle, each being born will be supported to express themselves and direct themselves within consideration for all beings. Any who wish to stand, come check out my page and W ww.desteni..co..za
@nEWwORLDhOARDER Quite the contrary, GMO corn has already contaminated remote populations who've thought their corn was untampered. Cross-pollination and tera-contamination threaten every natural born organism. Soy and its derivatives, are owned to the tune of 90%, by Monsanto and all are GMOs(and patented/monopolized).
If these fish are relesed (or escape) into the wild, they will competely wipe out the natural salmon in ~40 generations. Then the only salmon will be this Inscect chimera fish. MMMM salmon crossed w/ cockroach...gotta love it.
I want a chicken with 4 wings and 4 drumsticks. Whenever I buy a whole chicken, I end up not eating the breasts and thighs. Strangely enough, it's cheaper to buy the whole chicken that just the parts I want.
Engineering larger fish doesn't even make economic sense. Those larger fish just eat more prey while the resources out in the wild are finite. So really it's a zero sum game. Big individual fish but the same biomass overall that is harvested.
If they are going to genetically engineer salmon they should not release it into the wild and should farm raise it. It seems like the RT news girl is for it saying the genetically modified fish is more succulent. Honestly I wish they got rid of GMO food altogether. Organic is the way to go and people should grow veggies and fruits in their backyards. My family does but We need to plant some potatos and get some chickens.
if we didnt modify seeds we wouldnt be able to feed a third of the world population, this is nonsense there is nothing wrong with genetically modify food just paranoia
@arga400 Much modification? So now you are a geneticist? Do you realize the repurcussions of tampering with genetic codes that we, as humanity, don't even fully comprehend yet? You're just talking from your ass. Pure poppycock!
@seraphimra not as much poppycock as the idea that we as a specie can survive without genetically modify food, it is a FACT that without genetically modify food we wouldnt survive a year
@arga400 Hmm...could this be a factor due to the economic, educational, and philisophical disparities? Money has corrupted life and because of greed we wouldn't survive a year. Populations have existed in harmony with the earth for millenia. Each one must accept self-responsibility and only take what they require to survive, then human life could perpetuate itself ad infinitum.
@Umbalafum Yes, anyone who's not taken the time to watch "The World According to Monsanto" and "Food Inc." is at a severe disadvantage when broaching the topic of GMOs. I have a playlist for 'The World According to Monsanto', and Netflix and YouTube both have 'Food Inc.'.

CBasie2856 10 months ago
@CBasie2856 I'm not sure if you're being a troll or not, but...
No one is going to become protein deficient. If these salmon are producing a protein that they did not previously (which may not be true, engineers may have deactivated some genes) it will only account for a very, very tiny portion of their cell mass.
Every mammal makes many thousands of different proteins, yet we can almost always digest them. This is because amylases (chemicals we have that break down proteins) are not specific.
JesseLH88 10 months ago
Its been said all over the place that foods such as Vitamin Water offer fake vitamins that just go out into your stool.
I'm sure that any GM food is going to make proteins do the same thing.
Also, maybe it just isn't protein. Maybe its iron, or selenium, or magnesium, or calcium, or vitamin A. What good does a GMO salmon serve? I think that is super fishy that Mansanto is making all these weird looking genetically altered copies of different organisms. A hairless monkey? Come on!!!!!!!!!

that is resistant to bugs and disease in fact bugs dies when they eat it so if it kills bugs what will it do to Humans? cancers are on the rise and many health problems due to the food we eat. all the genetic codes and cells for all species have been saved in vaults in the Arctic and other places as well while clones are being fed to the rest of Humanity.

GMO food is crap, anyone who says otherwise is either crazy or knows nothing of nutrition and hazards of what GMO's consist of. Someone commented below about feeding more starving kids, well yes, but feeding them pumped up foods with chemicals and hormones etc etc is not the answer either
clsacose 1 year ago 2
I wished people would do more research about GMOs instead of just prejudging it without actual facts. GMO's arent monsters, but essentially organisms with their genetic code only slightly modified to allow the proteins required for growth to increase. Testing should be done, but the idea should not be disregarded.
Id rather feed more people with these fish than watch kids starve. EDUCATE yourselves and learn to make better decisions!
RAWRRingg 1 year ago

Because non-organic practices use hormones, antibiotics, pesticides and so on. Which ruin our body's and ruin our environment. Organic is the way but we need to abolish Monsanto and stop the government raiding our local/organic farms and natural health stores which they are doing at an increasing rate.
truthwarrior0 1 year ago
Get used to it. This will be the rule in a few more years, everything will have to grow twice as fast and twice as big. Why do we do this? The answer is easy: The planet no longer produces enough food naturally to feed the people on it. As we pave over crop fields and pollute our waters to the point where nothing will live in it we will be forced to genetically modify everything to keep up with our birth rate. Thats the bottom line, one more mouth to feed every 7 seconds. Zero population growth!
iwantthisfuckingname 1 year ago
@iwantthisfuckingname Please educate yourself. Your statements are false. If everyone were participating in organic practices then we would be able to support all life on this planet. Poor crop yields and pollution are the exact causes of non-organic practices. Also they are the cause of a lot of health problems we have today. Such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and other diseases.

@truthwarrior0 Sorry. I guess growing up on a farm and working as a commercial fisherman left me a little brain dead. I've caught/killed/cleaned/processed more fish then you'll eat in 10 life times.

@seraphimra He's talking about genetic/cybernetic enhancements.
It's pretty safe to assume, most people don't give a shit about being in "harmony" with other life.
For as long as our species has existed, other life has served us.
Either as food, clothing, transport, pets, sport. And any species that threatens us or we have no use for, gets wiped out over time.
ZKY2 1 year ago
@ZKY2 Precisely the mentality which perpetuates the system. Instead of falling victim to these archaic systems, we should recognize them as the abusive manifestations of the collective conscious and seek to change it. Humans exist in abuse and we slaughter life, but this isn't the same as being supported and supporting life. Pretty safe to assume that it's your opinion that beings don't give a shit. I do, and I will stand for life, as life. Will you? Or will you continue to make justifications?
seraphimra 1 year ago
@seraphimra Yes, I will defend it.
It has served us well since the dawn of our species.
We live longer now than we used to in previous generations.
We have more advanced technology than we used to in previous generations.
We have significantly greater numbers now than we used to in previous generations.
Whatever we're doing, it has worked incredibly well for the species. And for all the doomsayers, I will quote Morpheus "we are still here!".

Gross, irresponsible and playing God.
TheCandaceH 1 year ago
@TheCandaceH Why do people feel the need to bring up "God" no matter what the issue?
"Gross" - merely an opinion which changes from person to person.
"Irresponsible" - only if there are negative side-effects.
"Playing God" - What's your point? If it can be done and can benefit people, why not? If we have the ability, why not?
ZKY2 1 year ago
@ZKY2 'bring up 'God' no matter what the issue..' - Generalisation and not representative of actual reality(i.e. mental projection)
Negative/benefit- also opinions which change from person to person
Point- Unless it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that these GMOs have no effect what-so-ever on the human genome, these 'foods' should be subjected to the harshed most inexorable scrutiny.
seraphimra 1 year ago
@seraphimra Negative side effects and positive side effects are matters of fact, not opinion. Either it's harmful, or it's not.
ZKY2 1 year ago
@ZKY2 Masochists associate distress and pain with pleasure, thus negative for you is positive for them. You are playing in the realm of duality which is inherently deceptive in its application. The best option is to consider what is best for all life, within the principle of equality.
seraphimra 1 year ago
@seraphimra There is a difference between positive and negative effects of food on the human physiology, and psychological preferences and you know it. It's apples and oranges.
ZKY2 1 year ago
@ZKY2 Almost, however, current quantum physics and the marriage between eastern and western medicine, postulates that the mind/body connection is inseparable and contingent upon each other. Thus, one who 'feels' younger has lower biological aging markers than their chronological markers. One can love abuse so much that it manifests itself as pleasurable and this phenomena registers itself in the physical as well.
seraphimra 1 year ago
@seraphimra Is this delusional state optimal for sustaining life indefinitely? No, but it does shatter the false dichotomy of negative/positive. Especially considering that these are subjective phenomena, as currently, all beings do not associate longer life with positive. I concede that it is insane and completely backwards in its application, but it has manifested itself none-the-less.

@ZKY2 I bring up God because he is my creator and my belief. I say my opinion because it's allowed. I don't knock your belief because there is freedom of speech. If you don't like what I write, don't read it.

@TheCandaceH I agree. This GMO garbage is gross. An Jeffery wasn't asked how irresponsible it would to let out this franken-fish out in the waters.

Umbalafum 1 year ago
@Umbalafum Yes, value is an arbitrary human concept which we associate and lend to money, then we beLIEve its' worth to be greater than that of life--this is insanity, but will change if each is willing to participate and say, "I will not accept nor allow life to be abused. All life is equal and precious." Hitler created hell on earth because of his fervor and knowledge of politics, and we can create the utopia which cynics refer to as idealism. With our hands shit gets done whether good or ill.

Vegans and vegetarians don't have to worry about this problem.
nEWwORLDhOARDER 1 year ago
@nEWwORLDhOARDER Quite the contrary, GMO corn has already contaminated remote populations who've thought their corn was untampered. Cross-pollination and tera-contamination threaten every natural born organism. Soy and its derivatives, are owned to the tune of 90%, by Monsanto and all are GMOs(and patented/monopolized).
seraphimra 1 year ago
@seraphimra Yes, GM plants are a problem for veggies/ vegans.

@nEWwORLDhOARDER there are gmo fruits and vegatables too

@nEWwORLDhOARDER More GMO foods are on the way.
Nymphe14 1 year ago
@nEWwORLDhOARDER There are genetically modified plants. Fucc are you talking about? Vegans and vegetarians who only eat organic maybe.

Big individual fish but the same biomass overall that is harvested.
harveybirdmannequin 1 year ago
If they are going to genetically engineer salmon they should not release it into the wild and should farm raise it. It seems like the RT news girl is for it saying the genetically modified fish is more succulent. Honestly I wish they got rid of GMO food altogether. Organic is the way to go and people should grow veggies and fruits in their backyards. My family does but We need to plant some potatos and get some chickens.

if we didnt modify seeds we wouldnt be able to feed a third of the world population, this is nonsense there is nothing wrong with genetically modify food just paranoia
arga400 1 year ago
@arga400 Salmon ain't crops, thats what i'm worried about.
fenix611 1 year ago
@fenix611 and what is the difference both of them are live forms we modify to grow faster that isnt even much modification
arga400 1 year ago
@arga400 Much modification? So now you are a geneticist? Do you realize the repurcussions of tampering with genetic codes that we, as humanity, don't even fully comprehend yet? You're just talking from your ass. Pure poppycock!
seraphimra 1 year ago
@seraphimra not as much poppycock as the idea that we as a specie can survive without genetically modify food, it is a FACT that without genetically modify food we wouldnt survive a year
arga400 1 year ago
@arga400 Hmm...could this be a factor due to the economic, educational, and philisophical disparities? Money has corrupted life and because of greed we wouldn't survive a year. Populations have existed in harmony with the earth for millenia. Each one must accept self-responsibility and only take what they require to survive, then human life could perpetuate itself ad infinitum.
seraphimra 1 year ago
@fenix611 thereare many reasons to be worried about crops as well.
Umbalafum 1 year ago
@Umbalafum Yes, anyone who's not taken the time to watch "The World According to Monsanto" and "Food Inc." is at a severe disadvantage when broaching the topic of GMOs. I have a playlist for 'The World According to Monsanto', and Netflix and YouTube both have 'Food Inc.'.
