I've just downloaded Daz 4 Pro and I sure hope I can learn how to do some of the stuff I've seen others do with it. I've tried the older versions and they kept crashing on me.
Thanks, I think I solved the issue, I make the AVI file smaller resolution (640x480) while it was 1900x1080 or something like that (HD , lol ) .. now I can import up to 2 minutes of video. (but still, more than 2gb are not imported, coz my RAM is 2gb. Same on my GF laptop, she has 2gb too). We already made some nice videos, I'll upload and share :P .
The truth is.. we want more aniblocks/mocap files of 'normal' things.. We all have the kung fu stuff, the belly dancer, the walk cycle... but what about hand movements, wrist movements, walking up the stairs?..
@rvdschaaf ,excellent suggestion, never thought of creating aniblocks for hand movements, i'll think about it, or even create products for it, check your pm for link to walking up stairs, its in p2z format, daz studio should b able to import that file n u can manualy convert them into aniblock
Hi, I want to ask, if you know what formats poser 8 supports for importing as video background?
I was able to import only RAW uncompressed AVI, and it's 6gb for 45 seconds! :P
My laptop memory is 2GB so Poser opens and shows only 1/3 of this video! about 14 seconds. I have to compress it, but it seems to decline DivX/Xvid/WMV codecs :( .. maybe you know what codec it supports for import?
@murzik97 i afraid i cant help much , its very unfortunate for such an intersting program like poser cant be able to import video other than avi format. the cheaper way is to seperate the avi into parts and edit it in poser and export into video compiler like wmm then combine them back???
@murzik97 about the 1/3 video issue, im not sure if u miss this step. try check the animation control at window menu, the animation timeline should appear just below of the poser work interface. there r two boxes stating frame 1 to xx or 30 in default ? try set the 30 into 1350 frames (45framesX30fps) , or go to ANIMATION PALLETE adhust the range of animation in timeline, if not poser might just simply loop your video or even stop playing.... i dont about video codec etc..my apology
@ka06059 Haha, I'm really hoping it follows it.. It's more of advice... How exactly can you add two models into a scene without having to twist the entire body from head to toe just to get them to turn around.
@murzik97 yup, u can even import video into poser as background reference to edit your character animation. if u wish to match the 2d video 'dimension' together with poser figure, u gotta use other software like 'syntheyes' 1st. the program will create a script and can be import into poser for further process
@dognutscreations hey there, nope, no programming at all, if u think of training yourself towards better character animation with premade figure, this program may be the best choice, if u w3ant to learn both 3d modeling & character animation, i recomend u to learn blender, which ia totally free, the latest version should be 2.60a
@ka06059 Thank You very much. I was preferring animation to be my thesis, what kind of computer needed here? Thank you so much, and sorry for the late reply.
Very nice. I'm liking Animate more every time I see one of these videos. After looking at the stuff linked at ShareCG I realized that making your own poses for Animate leads to never-ending easy animation. Thanks for the link and the video.
*whistles* Newbie here, taking a minute to oogle. The moves are fantastic, and the 'voice' actually syncs well with the motions too. Definitely watching for more of this coolness. ^^
@darkforestwarriors i assumed 'poser' not 'posing'? poser is 3d prog just like daz. daz can import poser content directly, while poser can import daz aniblocks only with 'poser exporter format' plugin installed.
Question, How do you combind Poser and daz. I'm helping my dad with a college project and i was wondering if it is possiable to get a knife to cut into someone and show organs. Now, Not bloody but enough to get the point across..
Hello my name is Ishmael, just say your demo on youtube, awesome !!. do u know how I can make characters move and is there a tutorial that u know of available to make characters move in bryce? I would appreciate any input on this thanks
@greenmahidol thanks, movements are edited using aniblocks from animate, but the kicking skill u won't find it in martial art aniblock directly... its being blended & keyframes properly
@technobasejumping thanks for your interest. neena's video likely to be 7 or more than 10 minutes, jz around 50% completion tho since 9 months ago, my laziness had extending my completion date ... sigh. come back anytime buddy! :D
Hi I have the aniblock bellydance for V4, when i exported to Poser 7 a single frame I don't have problems but when I export an animation be deform... your video is great you could tell me how to configure my Poser Format Exporter for DS3 (PFE) please?
Thanks for commenting MONEYVAL9 ! Well, keyframing the whole thing is almost impossible as u can see. The keyframing part is where im connecting between 2 edited or cropped motion files, so to make it look smoother during transition :D
ok buddy :D... i'd sent u a friend request for that! I'm quite noob in custom modelling too, so i might be back for questions on how to do it in 3d max...

and can you use Poser for making 3D with real life videos? like, put a real life background, and animate on top of it?
