Yes, it was. But even so, Bush and the Republican controlled congress did absolutely nothing to fix the mess they knew was coming. Rather than prepare the people for some very difficult choices ahead, they elected to attempt to save their jobs instead. In the end they lost their jobs anyway, and the now Democratic controlled congress has made things unbelievably worse. I agree with Voiceofjon.
