So much for compassionate conservatism, if ever there was such a thing. Where are the bible-thumpers now? They've sacrifices their self-perceived "moral authority" to do the insurance comapnies' bidding? What would Jesus do, fucking hypocrites? Oh, that's right....Jesus is a Republican. I love the sermon on the mount where he talks about fiscal responsibility.
Health care accounts only and if government would stop regulating and deregulate , stop passing legislation that controls rather than reduces costs, everyone could afford insurance. STOP regulating the insurance companies. I don't work for any insurance company. Vote these Democrats of radical nature OUT OF OFFICE !!!!
Morally there is no monetary argument for this issue. Fiscally I am normally very conservative however; when making tough decisions like this I revert to Immanuel Kants categorical imperative (CI) and I cannot find any argument that supports letting people DIE because they do not have the resources to adequate health care. Hedging a bet on someones life has so many things wrong with it!!! Reform is a must at any cost. Trim some fat off something else........
I heard only like 2 people laughing, probably republicans since they dont want any health care reform at all. If that was the case they had from 1993- 2007 to do something, but of course they never did anything. NOW they're concern.
We have the most expensive health care system in the world by far and with worse results. We have greedy CEO's in the insurance industry making a killing at the expensive of hard working Americans. When will it stop?
I want free health care, and I want each of you to pay for it! I'm tired of having to go to work every day to get money to pay for my own stuff.
CEOs are all greedy SOBs -- all of them! What has business ever done for this country anyway? The government is much better with our money and much better at making decisions for the people.
You health care reform haters need to stop it now -- because I deserve health care and you need to pay for it!
Health care reformers are greedy SOBs! They want to be able to get care when they need it, even if it's expensive and will hurt an insurer's bottom line. Doctors want to be able to get reimbursed for expensive procedures they perform without having to fill out long and complicated forms, those lazy bastards!
My private insurer has a god given right to cut me after decades of paying into their plan just because my treatment starts to get too expensive. God bless America!
You forget to mention Weiner's amendment to eliminate Medicare, where he DARED the GOP to vote for it. Of course they wouldn't because they know that the GOVERNMENT RUN Medicare system works great and seniors would throw them out of office.
Medicare is what start the problem in the first place. It does not "work great". It causes massive cost-shifting which results in higher prices for the rest of us.
You got half of that right. They're politicians, they like votes. Weiner acted like an ass knowing that the GOP are asses themselves. Declaring that a congressman won't vote against something to save votes is Politics 101.
now that is amusing...we are currently trying to do what the French have already done, and they are very satisfied with their care, they even have the best health care in the world. but of course that's Ridiculous!
What do they pay in taxes annually? Also what system of government and economy do they run? If it's socialism and a higher tax rate you want to sacrifice for public health care then by all means move to France. Most american citizens understand that it does not work the same in every economy, and ours will only suffer from it as a result.
It's pathetic that Americans shy away from paying higher taxes to secure health care for themselves and their families - yet I'm sure when Mcdonalds raises the price of their Big Mac to $5 they won't complain..cause that somehow is worth it. Please, even if they taxed every American 40% it wouldn't touch the amount of shit we already "suffer" under this current plan.
good heavens. even the fricken whole congress knows this healthcare is going to dry up everything. why these jokers thinks we are so stupid I just dont get it. Maybe we are. they are in power and we arent!
what a rebuttal! i'm glad we have hard working republicans in office!
