The purpose of the activity is to show creativity and individualism, and the purpose for putting these videos on the internet is to educate on styles and techniques, not for them to be copied. You are welcome to use this script, nobody is stopping you. But if you copy this performance and cutting, you are missing the main point of everything speech teaches. Be creative! Be yourselves!

@ollyownsend You can sing as long as the song is in the script. If not, it's considered adding lines, which IS illegal.

But, awesome polish! Bell-I would say be careful towards the end when you cry in your hands when Beast dies. That is not natural, that is just a persona. Beast-good black lady impersonation. I thought it was still a little over the top for my taste. Overall, I think you guys had a great performance. I could feel that you wanted to do this piece justice.

What I love about this piece is you show true characterization for some parts of the performance. BUT, one thing that could have made your "argument" stronger is perhaps a twist on the piece that we haven't seen before. Oral interp isn't just about performing what's popular, it's about performing something that will treat me to a new idea or angle of consideration. We all love BATB! You have wonderful character pops. There were many moments where I could have called you on looking at each other.

@friedmanrc Haha. It's funny you say this about the overall story, because we did that in the beginning and people hated it. And the looking at each definitely didn't happen - you can trust me on that one! haha. But thanks for your comments!

@powerslide913 Thanks so much! I don't think you have to pay for the perusal copy. But have your coach order it, just in case. We did Beauty and the Beast at our high school that year for the fall musical, so getting ahold of a script was a no brainer. But if that's not your case, have your coach get the script.

Where did you get the script for this?

@angelwings406 It's the MTI (Musical Theater International) Script for the broadway show. When you are thinking about putting on a show, they will send you a perusal copy. Shows come with full script and vocal score. It has an ISBN number and everything, so it's legit.
