Elvis' contribution to music is legendary. An amazing voice and great showman. I think he had personal demons to deal with as we all do. However, I think he had a strong work ethic and he loved what he did for a living. I have read many books on Elvis by the folks who know him best, and he seemed like an interesting person. I wish I had known him personally so I could draw my own conclusions.

Thank you for this beautiful video of Elvis, as he gave his all to the end. I agree also with Phoenix7878 that people need to know the human side of Elvis, and if you don't know, don't criticize him. Remember his song version "Walk a mile in my shoes"!, this goes for every human being. You can't read a book by it's cover. I love you Elvis, and I'm sure God does too!
great job!!! you're so right about the 'drunk' videos, i keep telling people that, and not just with that song! i've heard him say 'heartburn motel' and say the wrong lyrics on purpose many times in different times of his life, he was just a goofball!
Thank you for this video and I agree with you. I only wish he had or someone had known to cool his body tempteur off slowly and not wrap him like a caccoon and hold in all the heat which caused and could have caused his heart to fail at any time. But then his DRS never knew anything except to do what they had ben taught then. I appreciate this because he was just as good at the end of his life as he was in the beginning. He never failed to give all he had to his fans and then some. HUGS Bobbie
thanks for sharing such a great moment in history on the greatest of all time, he gave his all, even knowing himself he had a bad heart, this was never wanted to be known but elvis had already known this for quite a while , but still gave us all he had just to try to make himself happy at the samre time during his last final days, we have to thank god for giving us such a great person to show us all what love is really all about,
I think the only times Elvis felt in control and totally comfortable were on stage. He could get out of his own misery by performing. In fact, Elvis said that performing live was his favorite part of Being Elvis. I have bootleg discs of the two concerts that were used in the CBS special, and although he can barely move sometimes, he gives it everything he's got. Yes, he could still perform.
Bravo, Bravo!!! A lions heart, an angels voice and very much human. Some of the most beautiful music Elvis sang came from 1977, and his voice was strong despite his medical problems.Thank you for a beautiful tribute to one we all love and miss, and wish he were still with us in person, but thank you for putting this together to prove what I and many others as writers wrote that Elvis was ill, but not drunk or washed up!!
Thank you for posting this true treasure! Elvis was amazing right up to the end. Always giving his all, to his fans. We still love you Elvis, and we'll never forget you!
despite all the health problems catching up to him, he was still a great entertainer right up to the end. still full of energy and still an amazing, powerful voice. i would give anything to have seen him perform. there is nothing i can think of now that would even come close. so sad that this generation couldn't enjoy elvis too.
@MrImsokewl Did your mother and father play with your private parts when you were young? Also, what's with the bad spelling and grammar? Are you lacking education?
@MrImsokewl drugs made him who he was, so did Michael Jackson, so did many other artists, start destroying your Jimmy Hendrix collection too, you sir are a proper idiot !!
This was well done, thanks for the effort! Elvis had issues in the later years of his life, no doubt, but it doesn't change what he did to music and pop culture. Some of his best performances were at the end. The man is an icon and will always be known as the King of Rock n Roll.
I myself have been doing an almost daily "Music Time" hobby since I was age 10. Started by singing with tapes & albums, & no mic/amp til age 19. I've done some talent shows, & was on TV in the Navy. But overall it's a HOME hobby. My point is, from age 10, til now @ 38, I feel, hear, & see the affects of age, heartbreak, & health. ELVIS was AWESOME! He did not stop! And neither will I. It's one love I can't let go of & won't. I am curious though to see how I am @ 42, & hope 4 more!
I agree that many people take aim at his final year, saying it was a bad time, & see the "drunk" titled ones. BUT, they are also seeing See See Rider, Hound Dog, How Great Thou Art, etc... They are seeing the unedited performances, almost his entire career, 54 to 77. The 1977 "In Concert" material has ALWAYS been my favorite, since age 16, but I'm also aware that he was not able to always perform as he could prior. It's just nature! We get older and or sick etc.
you are correct about having fun with different songs during many concerts, HE NEVER FORGOT THE WORDS TO Are you lonesome tonight - he was having fun.
You managed, in a little over 3 minutes, to ACCURATELY present ELVIS in his final days.(which rarely happens). Unfortunately, there will always be those who choose to be ignorant, disrespectful & just too damn lazy to actually learn what this phenomenon known simply as THE KING was all about.
I DARE the ignorant as well as the misinformed to learn the truth about both "The Image of ELVIS" as well as the "Human Side of ELVIS." It would blow them away!!
amen ...right on the money...about time somebody say what is already obvious elvis was a great talent ....period......he was an original the first of his kind...an polictical correctness dosen't have an answer for that.....does it.
I LOVED THE VIDEO... Does anyone have the whole thing?? (Concert) I want to see the whole thing even thogh EPE will not relese the footage.. BTW MJ is the king of Pop while Elvis is the King of ROCK... I respect both a lot as they both were the ones to bring all races and creeds together... Elvis sure did concur the world.. his influece is still being felt today and always will... Same thing can be said of MJ.. They just move the world at different levels...
The person who made this is right in that we should cherish this footage as it is very important part of Elvis's career! Yet EPE dont want you to have it ? This is such an important event this CBS Special to show what Energy Elvis & that incredible unique oh so powerful Voice! Elvis you will always be King to me & the Greatest Entertainer of our time! TCB/TLC
You are more than welcome my friend Magryd3344 as its a special vid & a fantastic tribute its a shame EPE wont release this CBS TV Concert as its the last we have of the Greatest Entertainer of our Time.Taking Care of Business TCB/TLC
Fantastic, there will EVER only be ONE KING, ELVIS PRESLEY - it is iritating to hear people call m jackson the king - the greatest enertainer, what a load of rubbish, Elvis will always be the number one, the ONLY KING. and nobody will ever take his place.
@TheLisa03 due to some illnesses he was taking so much cortison, so he got "puffed" up. i feel so sad watching this videao even 30 years after his death
Beautiful words of wisdom at the end of this video. Of course our eyes can see that Elvis may have been a little tired or ill or overweight in 1977 but my God his voice was so rich and powerful. So good in fact it gives me chills up and down my spine. It just upsets me that we don't have much professional footage from his last three years. Despite what some say, Elvis was superb in those years. LLTK
FANTASTIC, but also sad, it seems like it was just yesterday doesnt it, he is missed so much by millions, god bless him,for all he gave us,all he gave of himself.
Elvis was the King of them all, a wonderful & sad video, his fantastic singing voice never failed him, forever Number 1,i never saw Elvis live' in concert but i recently saw "Shawn Klush" in England & this man does a fantastic & respectful tribute to the king & it made me feel like i was in the presence of Elvis, Forever Elvis R.I.P. The King!! TCB
Spectacular video of generous, humble, loving man ..... AND hardest working entertainer ever. Videos of Elvis Presley LIVE are irreplaceable treasurers and we truly appreciate time and talent given us, given. "Elvis At Life's End" is likely inaccurate ..... "Elvis Final Performance" may be more real. There is an evidentiary item in coffin at funeral for Elvis Presley that proves it was not him in the box ..... FACT.
This was just so sad to watch. It maybe 30 plus years but it does seem like just yesterday. The pain is still fresh and so are the scars! Who ever said the pain goes away didnt know what pain is really. Great tribute...my friend ElvisTheTribute....thankyou for this upload.
Great video and true words, give this man we called Elvis the credit he deserves. And for all the ones who bad mouth him and put him down what have you people done lately, not much that I see but criticize. God bless you Elvis !!!!!!!!!
Yes I remember Elvis in his so called final days he was still the King!! We had no idea his life would end so tragically. It was definately a surprise when he passed so suddenly.
jrushelvis,,,,its not the uneducated public, I beg to differ its the slime scum who made it look and seem that way! They took turns playing musical chairs making Elvis look bad so as to whitewash their own faces and how!! pricilla added to the list of her " sorrows" that Elvis was a drug addict...now why does she need that name I wonder!!
@jrushelvis he gone but never be forgoten but i can tell you that i bleave he is in heaven so if you trust in the lord and live for the lord you will see Elvis again
very nicely done..an Elvis almost never drank Alcohol..that is a fact, yet the last years he was on drugs of course..but his spirit poured it all out that last concert leg... I own the CBS tapes an it is amazing how even at the end is voice shined through
WadeElvisMan...Elvis did take prescription drugs for the several health problems that he had. Dont you believe those scum who say Elvis took drugs! Most of those prescribed drugs were also swallowed by many who claim those drugs were for Elvis. Another lie to save face. Drunken brawls, drug induced states which cost Elvis millions in damages were very nicely over-looked by the same. The Stanleys and those who were around him known better LOL! What a load of crap!
Great tribute...Despite his obvious poor health, he gave it everything during these last performances. He actually looked healthier than most of the entertainers we see today and he had what a lot of entertainers lack these days...a great sense of humour... and love for his many fans.
That was very well done...I enjoyed watching the moments you chose...It showed how much Elvis really enjoyed being on stage and how after all the years fans still adored him of all ages...Thanks for making this...Its a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man...
THE BEST,BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEING, BLESS HIM.

Yes I remember Elvis in his so called final days he was still the King!! We had no idea his life would end so tragically. It was definately a surprise when he passed so suddenly.

Thank you for showing the uneducated public how Elvis was at the end. What a great reminder of the loss we suffered when Elvis left us.

jrushelvis,,,,its not the uneducated public, I beg to differ its the slime scum who made it look and seem that way! They took turns playing musical chairs making Elvis look bad so as to whitewash their own faces and how!! pricilla added to the list of her " sorrows" that Elvis was a drug addict...now why does she need that name I wonder!!

very nicely done..an Elvis almost never drank Alcohol..that is a fact, yet the last years he was on drugs of course..but his spirit poured it all out that last concert leg...
