  • anyone wanna go ahead and put u the full episodes?

  • Well I loved S5 thanks, those were the first eps I saw and I was hooked and watched the rest of the show. So...yeah that's all I have to say about that.

  • @jarvisbrodiea1 word. making Tyr a villain [along with shaving his hair] sucked to me

  • At kellyberry, basically dylan was meant to die but trance saw a perfect future, and Thatruth knew he had to go back in time and let dylan live

  • @vorido Why?!

  • Show was downhill without Tyr

  • I always called the poor fucker dylan CUNT

  • I wish they would remaster the special effects on this show like they did for Star Trek TOS and Star trek TNG.

  • Trace Gemini was my favorite character from this show. I loved her catsuit and her elf ears and tail! She was like Nightcrawler's love child with Seven of Nine!

  • Kevin Sorbo should never have been allowed on set for this show. Great concept, terribad lead actor choice. Anything this guy stars in is by default corney....

  • @XavierPirelli Steve Bacic should've been given the lead to begin with, even if it meant someone else playing Rhade. Kevin Sorbo can't act, can't produce, can't write, and is tone deaf to boot.

  • oh the nostalgia... =)

  • after reading this i think I will watch season one and leave it at that.

  • @NathBonn

Some of the other seasons have some really interesting stuff too.

  • @NathBonn Seasons one and two, maybe three, if you're into pain. Season four is best avoided like the plague.

  • This POS show is proof there is no afterlife, surely Roddenberry would have returned and sought revenge. Jerkules in Space!

  • Makes me a sad panda that they changed the intro theme. IMO this intro ranks among the most memorable sounding introduction themes ever. Something about just gets the blood pumping just a bit faster. :)

  • Gemini Trace was my favorite character from this show.

  • wait his first officer tried to kill him once then in an alternate reality his first officers future self killed his younger self then tried to kill dylan was that murder or suicide to kill your younger self?

  • @jarvisbrodiea1 Tyr was never a copmplete goof guy in the first place. he was only with fylan because it suited him.

  • I love the first season or two but afterwards, I sucked.

  • This show was awesome I loved it, I have a lot of catching up to do Gene Rodenberry sure had an interesting mind, R.I.P. Gene Rodenberry I love this show so very much...

  • "I have faith in nothing but this - when the universe collapses and dies, there will be three survivors - Tyr Anasazi, the cockroaches, and Dylan Hunt trying to save the cockroaches. "

  • Great writing from a good growth-season.

So too, very-much, bombad they deemed the show unworthy of real prose and granted the audience the same disregard for needing said prose, ripping the writer's wit from future episodes by firing them from the show and replacing them with sheople-feeding, yes-men. I hate the suits that thought treating the audiences as stupid was a good idea.

The show's death was slow but occurred in season 3.

  • @Tsujanryo I agree. Seemed like every season the show would have a direction and be headed some place interesting, and then in the offseason in between a new group of writers were brought in and the show would alter directions, and start to be going some place interesting and then BAM, course alteration again. I stopped watching after about season 3, as i also felt it lost alot there. Too bad. This was a good little show.

  • On the starship Andromeda hope lives again! wow what a starship! Thanks Gene!

  • This is the theme I wish they would have stuck with through the whole show. I love this show. Trying to find a good deal for the slipstream collection.

  • this show would've stayed on longer if kevin sorbo wouldnt got so big headed & started hating on keith hamilton cobb. Tyr was gettin too popular & kevin wanted Tyr's time reduced. but thats ok cause the show tanked & kevin's stuck doin movies on the syfy channel. lol!

  • what's going on it's stuck at 0:57

  • Comment removed

  • This was the best season of all. Once Keith Hamilton Cobb, Brent Stait,& series creator Robert Hewitt Wolfe left the show for various reasons the show totally changed. Thank you for uploading this intro.

  • Yeah, things started to go downhill, with the weird alien religions, and all.

  • Golden Trance the avatar of the sun.

  • that was a very polite and congenial way of saying sucked balls

    i applaude you

  • Comment removed

  • please share your insight, i would greatly appreciate it. =)

  • I like this series, I like how the characters are odd balls, like Blakes 7. I am particularly fond of the beautiful female characters and I like that two of them are AIs created by Harper who lusts after them, but they just give him a slap on the hand, LOL! The giant tough guy with the beard who is always getting drunk and wallowing in self-loathing is interesting too. What gets me is the plots...most of the time, I find the show damn near incomprehensible! Which is a shame, as I like it!

  • i just started watchin this show @.@!! itz pretty good..im a fan of earth final conflict :3!! and now also of this show :P!

  • IIRC, this was written by Alex Lifeson of Rush.

  • far, far, far better intro theme than the other 4 seasons.

  • Def was the better theme. Good show up into the last season where I couldnt figure what the hell was going on

  • The first intro was the best, as was the season. after wards, it got rank, then gangrenous and finally rotten.

  • lmao at 0:31 i love trance and yea season 1 intro way better then the other 1 in my mind its legendary

  • i like this intro better than the other one.

  • Good ultimately triumphs over evil. If not, you, me, and everyone else wouldn't be here. Humanity survived the ages because of people like the character Dylan Hunt. P.S. he didn't do it all by himself; He had the others with him though it all. As a professional writer myself, I must say that this is the stuff good storytelling is made of.

  • LOL! Thats BS man.

Lets try this? In 1709 the Cap of the UK best flag ship got lost in a void and now has showed up in 2009. He has found out that the UK Empire has been all but lost and now he wants to restore it back to its glory days. And he's gonna do it with his 300yr old ship against battle ships of today.

Does that sound realistic to you?

Dont get me wrong I love SiFi shows. Its just they keep comin with the same ass themes and its just annoying.

  • Not the same thing whatsoever. The reason that Andromeda is still one of the strongest ships in the galaxy is because technology collapsed after the fall of the Commonwealth.

It's comparable to a Roman general attempting to restore the Roman Empire with a fleet of ships against Dark Age armies.

  • Been a min.

Wait hold up tho. There was some group of aliens that they came across that they couldnt fuck with cause their tech was so advance. I forgot their names. You cant say ppl didnt advance because the fall of one single system.

Europe was in the dark. Not Africa or Asia. It was in the 1300s and 1400s that Europe began to come out of the dark because they started to learn from Africa.

It just BS that they wanna be the judge and jury of the universe.

  • Started to learn from Africa?

In fact a lot of knowledge came via the Muslims, but much of that was from Plato, Aristotle and the ancient Greeks (Europeans). They aquired it when they conquered Byzantium. So really, Europe recovered it's own learning that it had lost after the collapse of Roman civilisation.

  • I just started watchin this shit. Another show bout being noble and super moral. Fuck that shit.

This MF has been out for 300yrs and he wants to restore a style that has long been gone by his self? Thats some bullshit.

  • I know it's this is over two months ago, but Dylans a little different. The Commonwealth basicly kept order and peace in the Tri galaxys, but after it's fall, chaos bacicly desended, along with what CommanderSalamander. Dylan is simply trying to restore order to it. I don't know if you saw all the seasons now, but I have, and that universe truly does need order restored. Besideds, I would say the Commonwealth was more like the Federation in star trek than the British Empire.

  • The Renewed Commonwealth was a twisted, corrupt version of the old one. This was due to the Spirit of the Abyss.

As for a real life analogy, the Vedran Empire becoming the All Systems commonwealth is obviously parallel with the British Empire -> British Commonwealth. The series was Canadian, I believe, so no surprise there. Canada being a Commonwealth country (for their sins).

  • dylan is the best!!!!

  • I,too, prefer the original theme better than the second one. They should have kept it. I love this show...got it on DVD, all five seasons.

  • Oh, the S1 theme is so much...cooler than the later theme. I just love the way it sounds. I really wish people wouldn't mess with a good show. They have like a season or so, it doesn't immediately have a HUGE fan following and they make so many changes to it the first fans don't even like it anymore. Leave it be & give it a chance! That's what happened (inho) to Enterprise and seems to be what happened to Andromeda.

  • jarvisbrodiea1 posted: "I stopped watching it too! The only season I found interesting was Season 1 1/2 (That's Season 1 and Half of Season two, before the big changes.) They should kept things they way they were instead of screwing it up!"

thats politics of the television world. I HATED that everyone of the crew of andromeda meets and helps ends up thanking JUST DYLAN in the end. pissed me off.

  • jarvisbrodiea1 posted: "Thank you. Because, I really didn't like where it was going after the episode "Ouroboros"! I really didn't!!"

no need for thanks, you speak the wisdom of the ages! no really though, i stopped watching it after Cobb's character fell off the cliff into the abyss. then a year later seeing if it was still on, a caught an episode of rhade and dylan at a bar talking and i thought to myself...man it looks boring.

  • jarvisbrodiea1 posted: "Let me tell you something.. If the writers had just kept things the way they were (sans Brent Stait who left the show mid-season 2 due to the illness he developed from the Magog Makeup) instead of letting go of Producer Robert Hewitt Wolfe, making Keith Hamilton Cobb's character a bad guy, and focusing on Dylan Hunt for the remainder of the show, ANDROMEDA would NOT have been cancelled!"

I couldn't agree with you more nor could I have said it beter myself.

  • yea season one totaly rocks!

  • An excellent show before Tribune and Sorbo got a hold of it, threw out the original producer, and made it in to "adventures" -- abandoning the original plot. Then it went right down the toilet. A sad end to a great show.

  • Tell me about it !! The story line was all over the place nothing made sense its amazing that it lasted 5 seasons with the ammount of crap that they were putting out

  • I cannot fathom the reasoning behind the theme swap. The March was *distinct*, and performed the one most important thing any TV theme can: it got you prepared for the show that was coming. You knew it was Andromeda, because *no other thing sounded like it*. Plus it kicks ass.

The new bland Star Trek Lite theme was a real failure in both those departments.

  • IMO this was the best theme for Andromeda b/c it fit the tone of the show and the characters and their personalities better than the theme they used for all of the subsequent seasons.

  • Andromeda the Best serial!!!!

    Анромеда лучший сериал!!!

  • guys don't you know the name of the song?

  • March of the High Guard

  • this theme song used to get stuck in my head for days.

  • season 4 intro its best :)

  • there are lyrics to this song by Robert Hewitt Wolfe. the theme, for those who dont know, is called "March of the High Guard". Lyrics: Heaven burns, the stars are falling As the enemy draws nigh. Sound the call, fleet and lancers, "Commonwealth" our battle cry. Face the foe, never waver, Summon fire from the sky. From a million sovereign planets Scattered through the endless night. Bound by blood and High Guard honor, Hold the line until the light. Hold the line against the night.
  • This show was amazing before the original writer left.

  • Couldn't agree with you more, the first and a half seasons were great! After that, "let's make the show a happy-star-trek-firefly-ripped-shit!" :(

  • yeah except firefly came out after andromeda......

  • Firefly (2002) was out by the time Andromeda entered its bad leg.

  • Sounds very good especially in Surround sound

  • wie heißt das lied im hintergrund???

  • It was Sorbo's idea to change the music. Go figure.

  • I hear Sorbo was the one who ruined the show.

  • Thats a rumor. Sorbo was the one who wanted the original writer for the series to stay. Unfortunately Sorbo was voted out and the entire series change direction to the more "episodic" format.

  • @DeltaRomeoNiner where can I read more about the shows history and rumors etc? i like gossip =)

  • @DeltaRomeoNiner no sorbo wanted the show to focus on his character the original writer refused and thats why he had to leave otherwise the show would probabily still be around or at least have spin offs like stargate sg1

  • somethig screwy about your video, ways 4 minutes, but stops at 1.

  • Then it should stop at 1. I used youtube's time limit to exchange for better sound and video quality.

  • does anyone know where you can find this on dvd in ireland?

  • Man, i wish i could a place to download the whole song. Not even limewire has it. It is painful

  • The whole song is only 59 seconds.

  • Best SF theme ever. Alex Lifeson of Rush did this one, with a synthesizer that replicated 10,000 guitars (!), to make the March of the High Guard. Very stirring and unique sound, which they should have kept instead of that plain vanilla bombast you've heard a hundred times before that they used on seasons 2-5.

  • March of the High Guard sounds similar to a British Commonwealth bagpipe march.

  • This is truely an AWESOME theme. I wish they had kept it.

  • Agreed!

  • @brilliant61 I think it's absolutely horrible, and it turned me way off to the series until I check it out again a few years ago... the packaging is really important, folks.
