  • I'm sure this guy's drill instructors had a field day with his last name

  • mass punishment is used for mass indoctrination.

  • this is my exact thoughts on mass punishments i think they are useless

  • Yeah, it cuts a fine line to say being made to stand in formation and hear an SNCO chew you out about such things as "punishment", but even so; I suspect he did so because he told to do so by some officer, seeking to appease the Japanese/Okinawans who no doubt watched as the tongue-lashing was administered. It's politics, and that is hardly ever "fair" or just.

  • Mass Punishment is one of the few things that is really going to piss me off at P.I.

  • I would have made it my life's work to find the idiots who turned the car over and make their lives a living hell......motivation behind mass punishment.

  • mass punishment serves no purpose and leads to nowhere

  • Mass punishment starts day one in bootcamp. It really only takes one person f'ing up to get a whole squad/fire team dead. If someone told him that stopped when you got to the fleet they lied.

  • Sweet arm band... Faggot

  • @Ringsmaster7 this guy has probably seen more combat then you have or ever will...stick to your war movies kid

  • @Ringsmaster7 <= See "Motarded" video.

  • @Ringsmaster7

^ Probably a SNCO that gets hard on mass punishment.

  • @Ringsmaster7 stfu obviously you are not....

    pog

  • @Ringsmaster7 bro, i agree with you

  • Wow, sometimes someone stupid gets put into a leadership position. Your sergeant major was obviously one of the dull ones. Not much going on upstairs.

  • Being stationed here in camp foster Okinawa I know the pain of mass punishment, MT company messes up allot and we all go down, I understand the idea of mass punishment but to a point hell even our BTN SGTMAJ told us we all do good it's just that lousy ten percent that kills ya.

  • lol sgt bohner ahh i would love to have a sgt named that

  • @codied93 Rohner.

  • You are an idiot if you think this guy is wrong. He wasn't even from the same company as the Marines who got in trouble. Why should his time get wasted? Mass punishment = poor leadership. If you want to make a team, build Esprit de Corps and find ways to get the Marines to spend more time with each other and get them to know each other better. If you want to stop the guys from getting in trouble, teach them how not to get caught.

  • Be a good Marine and take whatever mass punishment you get, and be thankful for it. Mass punishment creates greater guilt in the offenders (who are then less likely to misconduct again) and it ends up building a stronger team mindset, and weeds out the people who aren't corps material. Suck it up. Man up. Good Luck.

  • reason for mass punishment is 2 make everyone realize tht they r a team, not tht a CO just hates everyone

  • this pussy needs to man the fuck up. you didn't join the boy scouts you fag. Dont join the military if you are a pussy. Join the icecapades.

  • @outOFthePITT I'm sorry, you have absolutely no right to call this man a pussy. He's fucking out there putting his neck on the line so morons such as yourself can have the freedom to make such idiotic comments. I don't see YOU putting your ass on the line for this goddamn country you fucking imbecile.

  • @xXSgtWolfXx how the fuck do you know what i have done you cock sucker? spent 10 years in the shit fuck bag.11b. Dont tell me i haven't paid my dues fuck stick. this guys a bitch. simple as that. Dont enlist if you are a pussy. no one forces you into the military. fuck both of you. risking his life?? lol he's a potato peeler in the rear with the gear.

  • @outOFthePITT so you're not a Marine, hahaha.

  • lol damn us marines here on hansen have been taking it easy just passing out in there houses randomly

  • Does his name tape say Bohner? lmaoooo

  • Kin Town! I love that place. I love the bars out their. So fun. Although, I would never even think of flipping cars....what idiots.ha.

  • Hey Devil Nuts.... your pocket's unbuttoned..... just thought you should know.... 2 DAYS FIREWATCH!!!!!.... BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!! :P

  • This guy does not realize that everyone is in a unit and if one person fucks up. Everyone pays for it. That has been a base of the Marine Corps. since that November night when the biggest killing machine was born after God fucked a Spartan Woman.

  • @Shaunte106th LMFAO ur too funny bro

  • Comment removed

  • @Sineath2290 how is it funny to terrorize civilians? That's the kind of shit that gives us a bad name... wtf man?

  • that is why I tell people to join the Air force

  • @EpicWin1812 why? are airmen not know for doing this kind of stuff?

  • @k3v015Mk Really dude? 2 months? Your going to respond to a 2 month old comment? Oh well to answer your question my buddy who was in the air-force said they didn't have Mass Punishment in his BN it was all on like personal basis. The Air-Force leadership isn't like the USMC where AF you actually need to have brains to lead & not just be able to run faster than others. Most of the leadership in the USMC are Shitbags on a power trip & can't handle confrontation with out their rank to hide behind

  • Best definition of mass punishment: "Such a fun experience!"

Not to be a regulation thumper, and not that I care, but did anyone notice his shoulder pocket wasn't buttoned down and had a slight OCD moment??

    Once again: not a reg-thumper

  • @harpbass4life if ur talkin about his head movement its from dippin for awhile. i do it sometimes and my senior drill instructor did it

  • @koscherness No I was talking about me with the OCD moment. I do that too, been dippin for awhile now

  • @Jaggerace69 Not having pogs would slow us down, but I'm pretty sure we would be able to do the job. if there were no grunts, pogs wouldn't exist.

  • lol...Bonher..

  • But I just want to join.. BUT!..i also dont want to be completely fucking lied too and not get what my recruter is Promising me, Such as Signing bonuses and the daily life of a marine. You know?? Someone please help me with this disiscion. I am really confused with what I should do :/

  • Should I join the Marines? I am Joining because i honestly dont want to live civilian life, And I couldnt imagine myself being anything else but a Marine. I dont want to beJust like most people who join just to get into firefights and kill stuff. I want to Join To literly serve the Country that has given my family and ancestors a home a freedom. I dont care if I'm just staying in the US and training almost everyday like most Marines, And I dont care if I were to get shipped to the middle east.

  • Any updates on production?

  • Mass punishment should exist only in boot camp. I am a inactive Marine. I served 15 years of active duty Marine Corps. My thoughts today are the same as my thoughts 15 years ago. Punish the the Marine who committed the crime not the masses. Marines active duty or reserve are adults and they know right from wrong. It is wrong to punish NCOS,SNCOS, and OFFICERS for a Marine who is arrested for a DUI at 0300hrs in L.A. , CA when they were Home with their family In say Oceanside, ca sleeping.

  • @P2M3 I'm willing to bet that they did it more to appease the Japanese than anything.

  • @P2M3 SHUT YOUR MOUTH MARINE IMPOSTOR!!! Every freaking comment you make you start with "I served 15 years of active duty Marine Corps" and you never spent one minute in the Marine Corps.....You are a Marine wannabe and I want to meet you for coffee to discuss your statements.....Please tell me where we can meet??

You are an Obama loving liar and we must meet

  • sergio shut the fuck up no one cares about ur bitch ass

  • this documentary out? ill be the first to buy it

  • i was in brrks 2441 (right next to the football field) when this happened

  • Yeah you see what happened back in the day, this shit still happenened. Mass Punishment, the diference was simple. The guys that got everyone in trouble, got tied to their bed, blind folded, and got the shit beat out of them. Now a days you cant get away with that.

  • Wonder how many other "incidents" occurred before the Sergeant Major decided to hold a pep rally? The point is to send a message to everyone.

  • We got some mass punishment this weekend. 2 kids got caught with fake ID's. Now the whole company is a bunch of fake id making alcoholics and can't leave for the 4th of july.....I don't even drink.

  • is there anywhere i can see the whole thing?

  • @sandwinaGB pog.pussy

  • they got drunk and flipped over some guy's car....that's the best story i've heard so far. lol

  • i preferred mass punishment over being singled out anyday. i would rather watch everybody suffer haha

  • seriously... well put man

  • Where can I get a copy of this documentary?

  • You may hate it, but you need to understand that it's necessary. We live in a world of boundaries, and people with weapons. The idea is to strengthen the bond between soldiers via giving them all the same problem. You all have to deal with it. Maybe as a squad-leader, this wouldn't happen with anyone in your squad; but could you not say for a fact now that you definitely would not let this kind of non-sense occur? Well, that was the idea. To help you prevent future problems like this one.

  • I remember that mass punnishment. That was only the beginning of 2/4's libo problems. OKY 2002-2003.

  • i feel ur pain.

  • Mass punishment is awesome. Good stuff. Great idea. Works.

  • The army is that way also. He is so ture, I HATE mass punishment. They are never going to change it, so I am just going to get out and be done with the militarty so I don't have to deal with it any more.

  • lmao...they flipped the car.....

  • Military Inteligence.

  • Score 1 for military intelligence huh?

  • wow! this sounds like the navy. I guess the USMC shares a much deeper relationship than we think.

Its that "One team, one fight" bullshit.

  • It happens in EVERY branch of the service. It's a military tradition, punishing the innocent for the sins of the guilty. We had a lot of problems with that in Japan in all branches. Similar incident to this one, a bunch of morons got drunk, into a knife fight in a train station and ran a Japanese family off the road. The ENTIRE FLEET was up on restriction for 4 days. 4 FREAKIN DAYS!!!!! 99.999% had no clue who the morons were, had never met them, and never did meet them.

  • why would you do that? join the army and get bank!

  • @ccavalier10 Get "bank?"

  • he means get money.

I don't know why he said that though, the pay sucks.

  • You don't get "bank" you get you get your base pay, a place to live, some shitty food. And you get to deal with a whole lot of shit live every other branch.

  • maybe for you, but i'm in the reserves... I get college paid for (not full tuition but still helps), I get to live wherever I want, I get to EAT whatever I want, have a part-time job and a steady income, all the while serving my country! Its far from perfect but it works for me thats all i'm sayin

  • dude, were not talking about the reserves. We are talking about the real military

  • the "real" military hahaha XD I'm assuming that you're referring to active duty.... Well i might only be a weekend warrior but I CHOSE to serve my country. I don't complain like a little punk bitch when when the shit hits the fan because I VOLUNTEERED for it, and I knew that it wasn't all gonna be fun and games. No shit its the military ^_^ Go Figure.

  • This Marine did nothing wrong but Mass Punishment is a way of reminding ALL NCO's to keep up with their Junior Enlisted. You only become an NCO by showing that you are responsible and can show a positive influence and part of that is knowing what your Soldiers, Airman, Seaman or Marines under your charge are doing. Good to Go!!! Army Strong!!!!!!

  • @josephfsd and gouchebag. Obviously you two twits subscribe the the mass punishment of the innocent doctorine. Here's the number one reason why it doesn't work, period. Innocent people resent taking heat for something they didn't do. Here's a MUCH better way to handle things that I used as an NCO, hammer the crap out of the guilty. That's right, punish them HARD. I still would have a talk with a sailor's supervisor, but ultimately each man is responsible for his own actions. Period.

  • @josephfsd Yeah there is. I hated that mass punnishment.

  • In the Army. The NCO's were not so much bitched out for not "supervising." Instead they caught Hell, because the higher ups would say. "This is what you teach your people?" It's all lead by example. Almost like how you raise a child. But "Boys will be boys"

  • this guy is an idiot if he doesn't understand the reasoning for him being out there even though they were his Marines. he learned what not to let his guys do. for two,

  • Great example. That shit sucks!

  • The difference between mass punishment that I experienced while I was in the Air Force is most of the time, they told you it was "training". Someone fucked up and you have NO CLUE what happened. Sometimes you knew though, when you did, you know the commander was furious.

  • Indeed, it's how the CC can show him or herself to be "responsible" by making sure no one else repeats the incident.

The Air Force did that very often with incidents such as drunk driving, and even accidental deaths and suicides.

It's as old as dirt that it only takes but ONE screw-up to forever implement a new rule.

  • This guy doesn't understand the basics of the marine, if they are fighting out in war and he doesn't watch those 3 marines just cause they aren't his. When they screw up and and throw a grenade or something the wrong way, they all die. Mass Punishment is a way to understand that.

  • No, mass punishment destroys morale. Period. Of course you're going to watch everyone's back, but when one guy screws up, it's HIM that needs straightened out so he's not a threat to his shipmates, not his shipmates who didn't make the decision to be an idiot.

  • @chrisbfisher You got to remember, in the Military, its "one team, one fight". So if one person screws up, everyone pays for it. I'd bet that if everyone knew who those guys were, they would be giving them salty looks for quite a while.

  • The truth. Had to take a ton of ass chewings for some shitbag being an ass clown simply because I was an NCO.

  • I think this "one guy screws up we all screwed up" thing is a pretty good way of keeping things in order but.....to an extent. If the guy beside you fucks up its you're fault for not showing him, but somebody not even in you're platoon and you don't even know the kids fucking names or ranks but you get fucked for it, thats pretty harsh.

  • i believe the purpose of mass punishment is to make people relise that if they do something stupid everyone pays, and then their gonna kick my ass.

  • exactly

  • @zacksethandy yea it's supposed to be the other soldiers that really punish you for fucking up

  • @zacksethandy

That and to remove the idea of individuality. If one cog in a machine stops working the rest fucks up too.

  • @zacksethandy isn't that the definition of terrorism?

  • @ATENakaATON Awesome.

  • yes that is stupid to get in trouble but the fact of the matter is that you learn not to do things bad from getting in trouble like that...its a training method deep your mind.

  • @Drknessboy1 you mean something you learn in kindergarden

  • FUCK ALL BASES IN JAPAN

  • why?

  • because they have a liberty policy that's different from the states because of a rape that happened....

so all the bases there are pretty much minimum security prisons for service members that have done NOTHING!!!

  • Yeah, why?

  • So fricking true!!!

  • yeah that kinda shit is retarded, I use to hate that shit, ohh somone gets in trouble for running from the police on there bike, but guess what recall, our MSgt yells at all of of for that.

  • That sucks. Sounds like time for a blanket party for these Marines.

  • where can i get a copy of this documentary?

  • Nowhere, yet.

  • Hmm, any ETA for this docu?

  • So uh, any ETA?

  • @greenmonsterfilm is there anywhewre i can get a copy of this documentary yet?

  • @greenmonsterfilm what about now?

  • @greenmonsterfilm are there copies of this documentary yet?

  • @jbyrd0861 Youtube Downloader

  • I remember when that happened. That was 2/4.

  • aw that's bs. i would be so pissed.

  • HA! Yeah, we built sandbag walls and dressed them up for fun.

  • @lunafringe10

Pretty sure you just commented, though.

  • @lunafringe10 bad acting? this is a documentary haha

  • when i was in; we called that the big green weenie and the appropriate response was Semper Gumby dude; always flexible.

  • Yep. This little concept kills people's desire to do what is right. If they behave and do what they're supposed to do, they'll get punished for something someone else did anyway, so what's the point of being good?

  • Oh man "Sinville"..........brings back memories

  • Are you listening Marine Corp?! Hell no the Marine Corp ain't listening! Hmm, why do I hate the Marine Corp? Because the Marine Corp hates it's Marines, that's why. Keep up the good work on this documentary. I would pay good money to see it and I hope it gets to the "higher" levels your hoping it does. I don't think you hate the Corp like me (getting out in 3 mo's), but it's a combination of all your vids that has got me really P****D off over the years.

  • So get out.....you will not be missed, I promise you this.

  • Perhaps that was a bit harsh below. Guess I was just letting off some steam. I agree with your comment. And likewise, the Marine Corp will not be missed.

  • What attachment are you from?

  • Why do you want to know what UNIT he is from?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh Jesus Christ, you're a 10%'er aren't you.

Stop crying like a little bitch and suck it the fuck up. It gets better later on.

  • Yep. That's what they always said. Bootcamp, MCT, School, Fleet. It gets better later on. Well here I am 60 days to EAS and it never got better. I gave 100%. But you know what, that's ok. There is a place for everyone in this world. Mine just simply wasn't here. And if yours is, fine. Life goes on. Just because it wasn't for me and I didn't like it doesn't mean you should use words and common USMC jargon like suck it up. It's simply my opinion and I respect yours as well.

  • What world are you living in? I got fucked into the dirt as a SGT and acting plt commander for somthing someone did in another platoon. This shit never works.

  • I guess that makes me the only one who really enjoyed their time in. Perhaps I just got lucky with a terrific command.

    Don't worry. I wasn't a motarded dickhead. ;-)

  • I loved my two and a half years in Okinawa. ^_^

  • hell yea all we did was drink and work out

  • III MEF policy is shity now, all because SSGT dick face went out and supposedly raped an underaged japahoo.... he shouldnt of been with her in the first place.

  • punishment always goes down to the lower rank if your superior heard it first you get punished then you punish the lower rank for getting you in trouble

  • Wrong again, moron. Maybe that's where they keep it in bootcamp and outside the wire, but we weren't going to set up a chair and camera in downtown Baghdad.

  • @greenmonsterfilm Actually, MORON, I'm pretty sure that's SOP for the whole Marine Corps, unless you are part of some unsat unit. A lot of the things that were taught in boot camp continue on throughout your Marine Corps career. Also, I wouldn't know anything about wearing an armband because I was never assigned to some mega FOB that required us to have easy access to our ID's, like TQ or Camp Victory. I pretty much lived outside the wire where Khalid and Mohammed lived 20 yards from us.

  • @SergioTabatez HAHAHAHAHA how fucking long have you been in for boot?

  • @docshuck How long have you been a nasty Squid? I have been out of boot camp for 8 years now, just because something was taught to you in boot camp doesn't mean it's meaningless after you graduate. Most of the stuff that is taught in boot camp follows you throughout your Marine Corps career. I'm pretty sure most units in the Marine Corps still require you to have your id in your left breast pocket, just like you should have a dog tag in the laces of your boot.

  • @SergioTabatez You are allowed to wear your id on your arm.

  • @SergioTabatez whats wrong with pog's? motard.

  • @DJRandySky Pog's are useless. Everytime I have gone to Motor T, they either do a half assed job or we have to actually end up doing the work ourselves. Admin doesn't even know how to fucking spell (And we're supposedly the stupid ones) Most of us have more experience using comm than the actual Comm Marines, and everytime I go to supply, the lazy bastards are always standing around doing jack shit and when you ask for something, they act like you're taking something that belongs to them.

  • in response to the video... shit rolls down hill, thats all i can say. i guarantee you that sgt.maj is getting shit on by his superiors too, international public relations is serious business! having said that, suck it the fuck up.. thats what you signed up for

  • I hated Okinawa!! Fuckin SINVILLE!! one screws up, you all pay for it. That's what recruiters should start telling ppl before they join, that if someone messes up, then your whole life will be miserable.

  • Love your films dude. Was in 80-88 and it never ceases to amuse/amaze how some things about the Corps never change. Vast majority of SNCO lifers continue to make life miserable for the NCOs and non-rates, and never stop to think about all the quality individuals that get out because they can't tolerate being under the thumb of semi-literate suckups with a GED and a couple of rockers.

  • I'm on Oki right now as well. Know EXACTLY what you're talking about.

  • This shit only flies so far. It took my platoon a couple weeks to figure out once you take matters into your own hands and beat the living piss out of the Marines who fucked up- the chain of command learns quick that you don't fuck with innocent motivators because then they have nothing to loose. The only people to blame are the higher ups for being lazy and not holding those responsible accountable.

  • haha was at hasen......fun times

  • Yes, when you are inside the wire you aren't eating snakes and low crawling. Come on.

  • yeah im on camp hansen (well right now im in iraq) but im stationed on hansen with the worst batallion in japan. if you know which one it is good on you. that shit happens all the time. im so fucking tired of push run climb from sargeants and gunnys i wanna puke. this will never stop in oki because the morons there believe they are keeping oki like the "old corps". even though they are wrong, i dont care. fuck that Duty station i cant wait to fucking PCS

  • oki is mass punishment

  • BS at it's best. Standing in formation, I'd take the verbal punishment and let it go. Had my Libo been secured, I would of Request Mast and still gone out to town. Its not like I haven't done it before. ;)

  • ok shitbag.....libbo is a privilege not a right.....you're a douche

  • STFU "BOOT!" Nobody asked you a freggin thing. Keep your brownosing Motard comments to yourself. You freggin Lifer!

  • "I would Request Mast" that is what a boot would cry when they get there little libbo secured....I request mast, do you even know how that works?

  • Must you repeat everything I type? Dude... go bug someone else or go fill out an ID-10T form. Freggin BOOT!

  • I hated that shit too. We used to have this XO who loved to run and some Marines stole his go fasters and he ran the piss out of the entire company in boots and yoots. fucking sucked.

It is a case of shit rolls down hill. Some fucking local got the best of your CO and he got the best of your SM and now your SM is gonna get the best of you and of course you are gonna get the best of your JR Marines.

  • haha soo funny ...now....my dad was in the Marine Corps ( I wanna join at 17) ...anywho I am one of 5 and he does the same thing to us.....I can be on the computer , headphones on not talking , chores done everything and my dad will come in the room yelling everyone NOW BED...if u can't bequiet.........and i don't even know what happened. ! :}

  • lol you type pretty well for being only 5.

  • one of 5 not 5 ....haha

  • my dad was an army DS and an airborne ranger for 22 years, talk about wake up at 6:30 back when i was in school if i fell asleep again..ooohhh.. He fliped my bed screaming-he can beard over 1/2 mile away at 61,- " why yOU liTTLE PIECE OF SHIT, GET YOUR FUCKIN ASS MOVING NOW>MOVE GODAMNIT>But dad i jus>"ISAID MOVE YOUR FUCNKY ASS NOW>bye dad"love you son" it was like that till i moved out the 1st time, and now im going into the army. Funny thing he said im already prepared for the yelling ;)

  • My dad is the exact same as your!

  • haha i love my dad ....;p

  • I fuckin hate that shit! Nothing makes any fucking sense in the military.

  • welcome to the US military lol

  • haha yeah
