  • I carry my full size 1911 in a blackhawk cqc serpa paddle holster everyday.

Reason being the government model does not have a extended grip safety.

Also I don't care if you can see the handle through my carhartt. Just my opinion.

    NRA life member

    Happy safe shooting.

  • why do you need a concealed 1911 when you already have chuck norris on your shirt.

i love my 1911's but never comfortable in carrying them, my favorite concealed carry weapon is my xdm subcompact .40. and I they became integral part of my outfit that i may forget my celphone or wallet but never my xdm. and i do this because i dont have chuck norris shirt.

  • Buy an iron

  • what I don't get is why people are so crazy about not printing, even for a second. Who cares if you print briefly and someone notices, they can fuck off.

  • BTW about the squatting, yes a good thing to do everyday, is do at least 10 body weight squats to keep your flexibility. My other hobby besides guns is bodybuilding..... (I do that so when I do the real squats I can go to full depth more easily) Even if you don't try to bulk up, just doing the body weight squats everyday will keep you more fit and healthy then not doing them, and you won't think twice about squatting down to pick stuff up, rather then bending over, so it's healthier for you.

  • how bout an iron for that shirt, chief

  • Its not very good for your extractor to drop the case in its much better to load it in a mag and chamber it that way. I don't know if that would work with a snap cap though. I don't use them. Its much worse for the extractor to close on a shell then for a firing pin to be dry fired. Many 1911 can be dry fired with out damage to the firing pin at all. You instructions will say for yours.

  • This method of carry is John McCain approved.

  • You must hate your extractor the way you are loading that round in the barrel and slamming the slide shut. That'll loosen the extractor to the point of making it malfunction

  • Nice video...I think the extra shirt works best. The single t-shirt not so much. Just standing in place and swinging your arms a little is not a trust test. A better video would show a person walking, reaching out to open a door, reaching up to grab something, and squatting (which you covered).

  • I wear my 1911 with a Don Hume inside the waistband holster. I position mine just slightly infront of my hip, and lean the gun forward a little to keep the butt from printing. Conceals perfectly fine with a loose T-shirt.

  • You're totally printing under the shirt, any cop that isn't blind can tell that you're packing. The 1911 is too big to conceal.

  • @PushyLittleKid Who cares if a cop can tell? Guns are for fending off crackheads and thugs(stupid people) at least where I live..

  • @kjjjkjjjkjjjk Are you familiar with the concept of 'printing?' In most places it is illegal.

  • @PushyLittleKid I am familiar with printing. And it is not illegal. For all you know I have a cell phone on my belt.

  • I do appreciate the video.. but basically your just kind of confirming what most folks are already saying.. that a full frame .45 1911 is a bit too much to conceal in anything but an under the arm configuration unless your a rather... full frame.. yourself.

I do like the idea of carrying a .45acp though. If you don't have a decent caliber round you might as well be carrying an ice pick.

  • I carry a Kimber CDP II Compact 1911. It's an awesome "best of both worlds" (for .45 acp power & slim and lightweight) 1911 for conceal carry. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

  • Damn this is a huge firearm, I couldnt imagine carrying this all day iwb. I carry a g26.

  • dude i can see the damn gun from a mile a way bad holster u got there my friend

  • @smokingace11226: I would hope you could in a video about concealed carry. If you know a person has a gun, then the slightest crease is just a validation for what you already know. The big question is whether you can positively identify it in every day life if you don't know before hand that the person is armed. Wearing very similar clothing, I have had discussions with cops without drawing their attention.

  • @hardsoldier04 I'm planning on getting the 1911 or Glock 19, is it comfortable having it inside your waistband?

  • @smokingace11226 No, you can't. Stop being a fucking troll.

  • @smokingace11226 , that may be,. if you know what to look for and are looking for it. But to the casual observer they'll never notice it. I have even had my shirt blow wide open and my gun in full view and not a single person saw it. It's not that big a deal.

  • @smokingace11226 Most states that have concealed carry, allow open carry as well, and actually its a loopehole to open carry in no pistol zones. besides all that.. if hes in the store, and a guy comes in to rob it, casing the place. he sees that subtle crease and his shirt, gets a bad vibe, then moves on ;) but if its a concealed only state, id be very careful lol

  • @friedstuffable it rather 7. rounds of .45 than 14 of 40 in a big bulky, wide gun

  • I run into the same issue with my glock 23. The problem is that for us skinny guys, no matter what kind of full size or compact gun we have, it tends to print more so on us than on say a guy that weighs 220 lbs because his shirts are inherently going to be more loose and the gun is going to be more snug into his body fat (no offense). Thats just my experience and opinions. Im sure some other people can conceal them better without sacrificing their range of motion.

  • @friedstuffable what gun would that be?

  • @friedstuffable i would rather caryy 8 rounds of .45acp than 12 of 9mm

  • @mikethenascarfan I present you with a challenge. I'll shoot you with my 9mm, and then you can shoot me with your .45.

  • @Hickeydog2365 how bout i fire off one round of .45acp int your chest with the short trigger pull of a 1911 while you cant get a shot off with a glocks retarded "safe action" trigger pull

  • @mikethenascarfan Uhh....you do realize that other pistols fire 9mm, right?

  • @Hickeydog2365 og course- but i am stating a point that the most common 9mm or stereotypical 9mm are berretas, clocks, and mostly double action-

  • @mikethenascarfan obvious troll obvious. Glock 2.5lbs aftermarket trigger pull is the shit.

  • @PowerViolenceForever yeah- good luck carrying that in your pocket with no thumb saftey

  • @mikethenascarfan i wouldn't carry in my pocket. inside the waistband only. Thats just me though, my roommate carries a 27 sometimes in his pocket

  • @PowerViolenceForever my point is that the 1911 is still a very effective, and in many ways, superior pistol

  • @mikethenascarfan no argument to it's superiority. Sometimes preference doesn't always run along with superiority though.

  • @PowerViolenceForever very true my friend, but in this case, they coenside

  • @PowerViolenceForever Using a 2.5lb pull trigger on a carry gun that only has a trigger safety seems kind of reckless.

  • @AmyLeesPetWookiee it's not for everyone. Glocks are simple and if you follow basic gun safety there will be no problems. That finger is never on or near the trigger till I am ready to fire.

  • @PowerViolenceForever I'm not talking about your fingers. I know the basic gun safety rules. I'm talking about other objects you may have on you that could get hooked on the trigger. There are all kinds of possibilities.

  • @AmyLeesPetWookiee yeah the round might explode in the chamber to killing you!

  • @PowerViolenceForever If you're going to revert to childish behavior, I'll just say you carry a Glock - so what do you know?

  • @AmyLeesPetWookiee First off I did not know I was dealing the concealed carry master here. So I digress, if you read earlier comments i never said I carried the 23 with the competition trigger pull, that gun is for target shooting really. Yes I am an idiot for carrying a Glock, so are thousands of police officers worldwide, the FBI, GSG-9... we are all idiots.

  • @PowerViolenceForever I'm glad you agree. I have a hard time telling them all that Glocks suck and they'd be better off with HKs or something, but you just came out and admitted it like a man.

  • @AmyLeesPetWookiee lol what ever you say boss

  • @AmyLeesPetWookiee I'd hope HK's would be good, I mean they are twice the price... They better work!

  • @PowerViolenceForever That German plastic is expensive man.

  • @AmyLeesPetWookiee more so than the Austrian!

  • @mikethenascarfan LOL I just came to the same conclusion myself. I was carrying (and still have) a SW M&P 9c, and using a commander size 1911 for home defense. So I was thinking yeah.....why not figure out how to conceal the "real gun"? :) (that's why I'm watching this video!) Nice vid btw Hardsoldier!

  • @DigitalHaze65536 hahaha very true

  • @mikethenascarfan looking at the ballistics a 45acp and 9mm there is not enough difference, both would have sufficient stopping power imo. a 9mm 90-124 grain JHP at 1000-1200 fps vs a 800-900 fps 230grain 45acp both the 9mm and 45 acp make huge cavities in media, certainly enough if placed in the thoracic triangle. i would rather go for more rounds and less bulk. 9mm JHP +P sub compact is my choice for cc. Nightstand however is where i keep my 45acp 1911. again this is imo to each their own.

  • @shu1o well- although i agree with you that a 9mmx19 is effective- i would have to say that the 1911 is less bulky than the double stacked polymer handguns such as the glock. The width is only about an inch at the slide- while the glock is about 1.250 1.5 inches.

  • @friedstuffable the love affiar is because the 1911 was designed by the greatest firearms deisgner of all time, was made and been proven technology for 100 years- has served in over 5 wars, the .45 acp atops people quite quickly, the gun is very hansome and very intimidating as well as one of the safest and more accurate pistols out there

  • I meant ruger LCP

  • I carry a tiger LCP 380. I chose it because I wear a tool belt at work and basically monster what I'm wearing I can carry it in a pocket holster. I wanted a gun that I could carry every second of the day comfortably. But you have to choose something that works for your everyday needs

  • i think i had one of them chuck Norris shirt i also had one that said chuck does all of my stunts. lol

  • lolll.... dude dont carry it that was.....

  • Thats pretty cool. possibly a better IWB holster would make it a bit more concealable. Thanks for the video

  • i use to carry my colt 1911 .45 almost everyday and mind you im only wearing a shirt and i don't use any holster, i just tuck it in my pants, no problem it wud took some practice in front of a mirror to know which part of your body you could hide it in, now im carrying my hs2000 9mm it's way to lighter to carry

  • I would carry a 1911 but I would always be aware I may not have unsafetied the safety. It is the iconic weapon of the 20th century, I love the way they shoot but I need a rather "no thought" point and shoot........hey! I inhaled!!

  • Gotta love a .45

  • @friedstuffable: Interesting statement considering I've had conversations with cops where they had no clue I was carrying.

  • @hardsoldier04 Maybe they didn't let on but knew, OR they didn't give a damn. LOL

  • @hardsoldier04 thats fucked up. you dont have to inform the officer immediately in your state?

  • @mbarnhead16 Funny you should mention that. I just got an E-mail from the Chief of police in my town when I asked him that very question...and I quote-

I would say most people don't mention they are armed when stopped by the police unless they are asked to get out of their vehicle or are about to get searched. Then I agree that it would be wise to inform the officer and produce your permit. You may use your judgment as to how comfortable you feel.

  • screw carrying that pig around(i do like my 1911) but i carry a S&W mod36 38.it fits in tight jean pockets and is fairly light. 5 shots ain't much but it'll get my fat ass out of trouble and the element of suprise of popping out a pocket pistol is a great advantage. i load the 38 heavy for knockdown but any badguy over 30ft away i'm outta there without a shot. the pigs get paid to be "heroes" lket them earn the paycheck.

  • I think the female holsters are better, even for men. They are made to contour to tighter clothing, so obviously will be better in loser clothing.

  • carrying that all day has gotta be heavy as balls

  • The majority of info on this video is garbage.

1-Don't combat load a 1911. It breaks and/or bends the extractors eventually. I can already predict how crappy your gun runs after combat loading it like this.

2-That holster is garbage. It doesn't cover and protect the muzzle from being pushed out of the holster when you sit down.

3-Actually take a tactical pistol class before teaching one.

4-Learn to iron that shirt you look like you've slept in. Did your mom forget to wash for you?

  • i rather prefer an open carry! why do i need concealment?

  • @rahj8786: Beacause in many states it's the law. Additionally, depending on your environment (crowded areas, exceptionaly high crime areas) openly carrying is a good way to become a target and get jumped from behind despite your best efforts to stay aware.

  • @hardsoldier04

The two instances of citizen open carry gun grabs that I've ever heard of ended up being victims making up the story to cover for an illegal gun transfer. No one in their right mind would attack someone they KNOW is armed just to get their gun.

But if it does happen, there are NUMEROUS reports (yeah, some of them scams) of people concealed carrying who have had the bad guys beat them to a draw and have had their guns stolen. CC doesn't mean you can forget about SA. ;)

  • @hardsoldier04

Only 7 states have banned open carry so if you live in the other 43 you're good.

  • @hardsoldier04 aside from that.. there is no reason to open carry. those who open carry do so only as a means of making a statement. we do not live in a country where guns are seen as a good thing. openly carrying a firearm in public makes people uneasy..people are not trustworthy when they are uneasy

  • @hardsoldier04 ...and get pestered by the cops on a daily basis. That's the main reason why I prefer concealed carry.

  • @hardsoldier04 You also have to worry about sheeple calling the cops on you and having them bust your balls. When you open carry.

  • @rahj8786 move to PA dude. NO LAWS against open carry except that as soon as you get in a car its considered concealed so as long as you have your permit you're good pretty much anywhere

  • @rahj8786 because in some states you can open carry you'll get arrested for disturbing the peace, go figure.

  • @rahj8786 OC is more dangerous than CCW. For many reasons.

That said, I'm not opposed to OC, but in general once I get a handgun I won't be doing it unless I'm in a forest or some empty area. Its just bad protocol to carry openly in the public.

  • @rahj8786 Open carry is stupid. Mostly because you give up the huge advantage of surprise and also you probably don't train on how to defend your weapon from being taken from you like police do.

Open carry is really only good for hunting.

  • @rahj8786 Because your gun should be your secret weapon. You NEVER reveal your secret weapon. Why make yourself an unecessary target?

  • @rahj8786

open carry is the most stupid thing in this planet.

  • @rahj8786 open carry makes you the initial first target for criminals. Of course I'm going to shoot this guy open carrying before i rob this place. Element of surprise is everything.

  • @rahj8786 Let's say someone initiates a robbery with intent to kill if "necessary." Who do you think the first person the robber will go for if he has any sense of self-preservation? The person open carrying. Concealing your abilities can be a good way to stay around long enough to use them for the benefit of yourself and others.

  • If it's any help (or reassurance) to those who currently own or are considering the purchase of a full-size 1911, my primary carry is a GI-spec 1911A1 Gov't. With the right kind of holster (an IWB holster that I made myself), I can conceal AND comfortably carry this big ol' hunk of steel on my hip at 3:00 all day long in a pair of cargo shorts and an XL T-shirt, even in the heat of a July summer's day in Arizona. A Ruger P-series hides just as easily, but is lighter. It's VERY do-able, folks.

  • 34:sec?

  • Who the hell needs to carry a full sized .45 when you could just take the whole chuck norris defence?

  • Sign petition to pass nationwide shall issue concealed carry bill go to the link on my page to sign.

  • Besides if your legal and concealed there is nothing anybody can do to you! Play it smart people. CCW is agreat thing! God bless America..

  • I have packed a full size 1911 in Super 38 and 45 acp for almost ten years and I know at times I have printed. I have never had a problem with people freaking out on me. If your acting normal, dressed regular (not like a thug) and minding your own business people dont even bother with you. Just my two cents.

  • I think printing is over rated these days. Unless your printing like a mother f*cker you should be fine. People carry all kinds of crap under their shirts today like cell phones, huge iPods etc. They are printing pretty good and too the point were it could be a firearm. I have never seen someone due to a buldge in under their shirt get stopped by SWAT.

  • You know another thing that helps make printing disappear is plaid or some kind of colorful or odd pattern on your clothes. It creates a kind of illusion. I was very happy when I found that out. Nothing beats a thick, wrinkled, plaid shirt.

  • So is it considered "unloaded" as in taking two actions required to fire, if you carry a 1911?

  • StriderTacticalL is right. You should NOT load anything into a 1911 type pistol from the breech, you will end up with a broken extractor.

  • Not sure if you already know this but breech loading your gun like that puts a lot of stress on your extractor. The extractor hook is designed for the case rim to slide behind it as the round it being chambered up from the magazine. Breech loading forces the extractor hook to pop over the case rim. You can read a bit more about this in the "1911 User's Guide" article on the 10-8 Performance website.

  • @StriderTacticaL

I didn't even know the 1911 will let you do that. I know my 9mm Walther PPS won't even go into battery when trying to breech load it. But I guess the 1911 doesn't have such tight tolerances. I learn something new every day. :)

  • @diggingforgold A 1911 CAN do it, but most owners' manuals instruct you specifically to NOT do it. I don't personally recommend it, though with a Snap-Cap there's no risk of discharge, so at least you're only risking the gun's innards and not a person's.

  • carrying anything potent in any season but winter just looks like a hassle.

  • @ryanhasasextape It really depends on where you live. In my state, summer nights are often cool enough to wear a light jacket and successfully conceal a 1911 with little hassle. Most days in the fall, winter, and spring months require a heavy jacket.

  • @MCMXIautomatic well damn... knives are good too.

  • wouldnt a .380 b fine.... like idt u need a .45

  • @mrkil132

A .380 is certainly better than nothing but it's a very weak round and can be much more difficult to squeeze off accurate shots rapidly (at least in my experience). You sacrifice a lot for concealability and comfort going with a .380. With all that said, I carry a .380 as my primary carry through the week as concealability is absolutely crucial for my line of work. I can get through pat down security sweeps with my LCP. Wouldn't be able to do that with my 1911.

  • Hey where did you get the holster for the 1911?

  • @FreelanceEMT

Not sure where hardsoldier04 got his, but I believe Crossbreed makes an IWB supertuck for the 1911. I think I may look into that as my next holster purchase. Though I bought my 1911 primarily for OC.

  • I have some advice on carrying a 1911...buy a .25auto.

  • I might as well try to conceal a gorilla.

  • @SOUTH213CENTRAL: Wouldn't recommend it for carrying in the weapon, then you really are pushing the distance it will stick out in the rear. What I usually do is carry a mag that sits flush with the gun in the weapon and an extended mag as a spare since that is easy to conceal.

  • Take of the over-shirt and voila! You're open carrying :D

  • HE'S PACKING!!!!

  • in my state open carry is Legal :)

  • is that chuck norris on ur shirt ?

  • Have you checked out the Cell Pal? I'm considering getting it for concealed carry, but I don't know anyone who's tried it out yet. Look for their video here on tooyube and lemme know what you thinks.

  • As far as the whole "bending over to pick something up" issue, it's not advisable to bend down like that anyway. Do it a little too often and your back will go out. So, think of it as a two-for-one deal; you not only keep your gun concealed, you also save your back =)

  • I can't wait to see this, and your a little guy too man. I want to carry my P-38 so....

  • Great video. Another thing we could probably consider is 99.9% of people aren't going to identify the print of a gun unless the carrier is wearing abnormally tight clothes. My opinion is that the only people who are going to be looking for people carrying guns are also carrying guns. Also, if it just so happens that if your gun does peek or print and someone notices, as long as you are within the law, you won't have any actual problems. People will usually assume you're an off duty cop.

  • great video my friend!

Im glad people like you help to protect society from the bad guys!

    God's speed!

  • You cary THAT everyday? Kudos to you

  • Just go to North Carolina...It's legal to open carry, ha!!!

  • Is a CQC holster concealable??

  • That gun is way to big.

  • What if I wanted to be able to carry AND dress so that a girl would actually be interested in me? Could you make a vid of that too? Thanks

  • @sajidakh LMAO!!!! This is why i use a clipdraw. I love guns, but I love women more.

  • bye bye extractor!!!

    that was a big NO-NO!!

  • Could I assume this could also apply to a full size Glock? I actually think my Glock 22C in about an inch shorter than a 1911. Could this work?

  • My problem is at work (and yes I can carry at work). I cannot lift my arms up or reach out w/o printing like CRAZY. Stairs are also an issue as the shirt tends to ride up my back as I climb. Any ideas?

  • @malepipe: A few of the basics are to try and only reach up with your non-gun side if possible. Try and rotate the gun towards the shelf/wall if you do have to reach with both hands so that it is concealed by your body. As for riding up on the stairs, have you considered a longer shirt or appendix carry? Also, do you carry inside the pants, inside the belt or outside the belt?

  • @hardsoldier04

I carry IWB at about the 4:00 position. If I carry at about the 2:00 it conceals perfectly but I cannot sit down or bend over. I wear pretty large button up, collard shirts (required) but un-tucked. I did do the "body tuck" thing when lifting/etc but it seems a little robotic but I think a lot of it is in my head as I am still new to CC.

  • @malepipe gun sounds too big

  • @a211pc since you want to get all "spec ops" answer me this. if a .45 is so bad why does HRT carry them? As one of (if not the) most elite teams in the world they should know which firearms are best suited for tactical situations. Still, they carry a .45, and not just any .45 a 1911. An since you brought up the switch, you should also be aware that Govt and police agencies are in the process of switching back to higher caliber rounds, .40S&W, .45ACP, etc.

  • @guitarace010 I don't know anything about the HRT, but I know a lot about DEVGRU units who train them. Most carried a Sig P226 in 9mm. Some carry HK in .45. But in any case who cares its just backup for the mp5 or the m4. 9mm +p hp round will expand and penetrate very well. It's all about shot placement. One mozambique drill and the bg wont know the difference.

  • yup, I think its a springfield. DEVGRU are issued 9mm (sig p229)all the time, and some HK's in .45. The 9mm is easier to carry out Mozambique drills. Doesn't really matter because its not their primary weapon anyway just backup for the mp5 or m4 etc... Both calibers are great choices. the 9mm in +p hp form is a very powerful round and the .45 is too. All about shot placement and what you are comfortable with. One shot to the heart and spine..

  • I find that the greatest obstacle are the clothes- as someone who has their clothes tailored, I have to me sensitive to how "fitted" they are- its not just me in my pants, its my 1911 too- same with jackets, etc- a properly fitted garment rarely conceals a large frame pistol well.

  • @thefourbooks: Get your clothes fitted while carrying. Even a moderately competent tailor should be able to adjust the clothing to allow excess in the right areas to prevent printing or looking too bulky

  • Hardsoldier you do a good job in your presentation and explanation of the system..there is no doubt you know what you are talking about with this weapon..

  • theres no reason why u should straight up never carry a colt 1911 unless it has specific value. i like to carry different guns on different days, depending on the situation and what not, but i always carry my 1911 simply because if i go out, im goin out with a 1911, not a polished turd from austria

  • @williamrafe1 carrying different weapons different systems is not synomous with survival. You should try to carry the same weapon and weapons systems all the time and train with those systems for physical muscular movement conditioning and for mental preparedness in emergency situations..

  • not that its not worth saying, but i for a fact am pretty aware of how to manuvere without flat out showing my pistol, although i never carry putside the wasteband...doesnt feel right

  • i'll admit, it isnt practical to carry a colt 1911 or similar size 1911's conceiled, but i guarentee u,every time i can get away with a vertical shoulder holster, that colts with me, and if i cant, its still prob with me. my fav gun specifically for conceiled carry is a glock 30, but i always take the 1911 if i can. basicly, if im wearing anything but a plain t shirt, im carrying my 1911,and if i cant, i'll prob have my commander

  • @williamrafe1 you need to read some material about carrying a weapon in a shouldher holster and muzzle direction...

  • Hardsoldier...proper trng and mental conditioning does help a lot. But in real world situations of lethal applied force the human instinct is to be nervous and frightened..if you are reacting normal to a life and death situation. And as far as menacing there have been situations whereby a large weapon has influenced a suspect to STOP.. When presenting info you need to have research and facts to supprot your young and inexperinced opinions .. I wish you well in life ..stay safe..

  • @a211pc: Please think before you type. More power goes both ways; more energy and damage to the bad guy. I'm not in an olympic event, two rounds of .45 to the thoracic cavity will end most situations and not require more rounds. Proper training and mindset minimizes the loss of accuracy to to panic. Lastly, if you think that menace has any place in firearms selection you have a poor understanding of what a firearm is for.

  • @hardsoldier04 I don't know if you have every been in a real firefight ..I have. In trng we did studies with over 600 law enf officers & when they went from 9mm to .45 their shootng scores on the combat range where targets move turn and are timed went significantly down. The .40 saw less decrease in scores. Based on my exp & testing I stand by what I said. ..and your wise crack comments aren't appreciated maybe you need to think before you type and back up your opinion with some facts ..

  • @a211pc its not hard to hit a man size target multiple times from a short distance, the recoil isnt that bad

  • @XxxxExclusivexxxX Agreed...and of course with the proper physical and mental trng..

  • @a211pc u know what? 9 out of 10 times, if u pull a 1911, the shit ends there. but if it does go down, even if it aint that great at hitting targets, if u havnt worked around that extra recoil until u can effectively shoot it, u have no business carrying a 1911. on the other hand, if u flash a 9mm, most times shit will stop, but if u pull out that fucking hand cannon, it will end there

  • @williamrafe1 9 out of 10 times wow ? care to cite the study that supports that statement ...90 % ....

  • @a211pc im drunk, and irish...u cannot question my logic in my current state

  • @a211pc its street logic. a study that is conducted everyday on the streets of cleveland ohio

  • @williamrafe1 street logic that's what you base your coments on .. nice try ..

  • @a211pc A .45 does not recoil any more than a .44 special, 10 mm, .40, .357, or even a .38 in a small revolver. The bullet is rather slow and the recoil is not bad.

  • @a211pc

The 1911 has been used in as many "situations" as any single handgun model or caliber- combat and defensively, Like, hardsoldier said- think before you speak. Any handgun design or caliber's weakest link is the operator- and there are still people who CC with great success a SA in 45LC

  • @thefourbooks I do think before I speak my comments are based on classes of over xx in each class over many years of training those classes as instr in small arms with people that are spec ops in high risk situations so don't tell me about operators these guys are the best of the best the scores went down drastically on the combat course as I stated you choose not to believe that's fine with me thats the reason Govt and others went with 9mm as opposed to the .45 you want to carry one go ahead

  • @a211pc - So why do so many spec ops groups use the .45?

  • @a211pc What an uninformed comment. As long as you take your pistol to the range and practice proper shooting techniques (like any RESPONSIBLE gun owner should!) you'll be fine!

  • @a211pc only a pussy such as your self cant handle a .45. jesus really man?

  • @a211pc as always youtube is full of people who claim to be experts in their "art". i carry a NightHawk T3 (4.25" barrel, 45acp, 2 extra 7 round mags on my person and if i am in my car i have my edc bag which holds another 10 full mags). i have had to use my gun twice (2x's) one was in a bank and the other was camping. i have had no problem with follow up shots. nor have i been "frieghtened" bc any responsible ccdw holder is aware of whats going on around him....

  • @a211pc also i have had to shoot smaller handguns in room entries when i was in iraq... i would rather throw a rock at you then use an M9 FROM EXPIRIENCE! handguns rounds are horrible fight stoppers, better than having nothing, bottom line. i have seen, several times someone take10 rounds of 9mm and then, and only then, did they stop (for what ever reason). i will not risk that amount of shots in a ccdw role... too much risk of hurting someone else. 45acp isnt a large round by any means. grow up

  • your shirt has wrinkles

  • Would you consider making another video of just the pt1911!! Thanks

  • How does the gun itself shoot? Really considering the pt 1911 or possibly a RIA 1911

  • @tmead16: Never had a single malfunction with it and it has a great trigger.

  • @tmead16 - Rock Island 1911s have a great reputation and it's really hard to beat the price on them. Just found one today at a gunshow for $375.

  • I love living in the great state of North Carolina Open Carry is legal and you really dont every get bothered with it but having a Concealed permit is nice for a lot of situations like when your driving so you can keep it in your holster. Its funny outside the car in holster in plain sight is ok once you sit down in car its hidden so there for concealed .

  • @jerry015 im going to try and move there as soon as I can but at this rate it looks like that may be longer than I thought :)

  • Option 1 shoulder holster+jacket, option 2 baggy pants+ankle holster, option 3???

suit case, don't forget the fedora!

  • @dukenukemthreed: What?

  • @hardsoldier04

For the record I was only half joking, I saw this video presentation by a student where he concealed a shotgun, 4 handguns and an uzi just with baggy pants.

  • One thing about this is that you don't have any hips. You're pretty narrow. Most women have hips and a lot of bigger guys do to, so it can make it harder to conceal these bigger guns. Holsters that form around the hip, like pancake holsters can aid in comfort.

  • @rightsman123: A good point. Pretty much all the comments here have been about men carrying. Much of what we advocate may not work well with a woman's body structure, unless they go for a subcompact pistol. In many cases for women, the best carry may be a cross-draw with the weapon on the weak side hip, butt forward. Now I know that many of us don't care for that method for whatever reason, but with wide hips there is sometimes no way for a woman to carry with the butt to the rear comfortably.
