@TheyCallMeCade Not sure about Illinois laws, but I think that if you are Military,LE or EMS its legal to own and carry an Auto knife.

If you get one of these knives i recommend that you only press the button when you need to and not just play with the thing as much as you play with yourself cause like anything else it's only going to last for so long!

@oddball90210 no actual safety button.But the trigger is made in such a way that it takes some force to slide it up actuating the blade.So its not gonna open unless you want it to.I think MT Scarabs are the same way

Do you know what laws (if any) there against carrying one of these? I live in Utah, which is definitely less strict about weaponry than other states. From what you said I got that maybe only law-enforcement can weald one. Thanks!

@fickle09 Thats a tricky question.Each state and city is different.My states law says they are legal to own and collect, but not to carry.Some city/states have laws that say you can carry one but must be 2" or shorter. Best way to know is to look up your states knife laws online or ask a cop.

@fickle09 Knives with the ''button'' attached to the blade that're spring assisted are considered legal in most states and in other countries too so you should be alright,but i'd check my local laws b4 taking it outside with you.Some states consider ANY spring knife illegal so your knife will be taken and you'll be charged with having a ''restricted weapon'' which may carry a stiff penalty such as an automatic jail sentence.It's better to be safe than sorry though right?

@slaying4fun Its an automatic knife.Similer to the MicroTech Scarab.

It uses two springs, one to fire it out and another to retract it.

Just be ready to use your alan's head driver to tighten the belt clip bolts. I have this knife and I love it to death, but the screws on the clip loosen easily.

I was thinking about this. I wanted an OTF for a while because as a collector, you just have to cover all your grounds. :-D But I didn't. I ended up knocking my head on a rock and bought a Microtech Ultratech Limited. Go figure, right?

It's nice that they make an inexpensive alternative to the Scarab, gives a chance for everyone out there can enjoy an OTF...Not everyone can afford a $400.00 knife. I'm really becoming a fan of them (OTF). Just for collection though...should have a vid up soon on the Microtech Scarab Stealth. Thanks for sharing Jon. Might have to pick one of these up to add to the collection. :)

I've had it for about a year now, used to be my work knife,,The blade is nice and thick and fires really nice.I'd say it would stand up to years of use and abuse,,and if it doesn't it was only $35,,I got that out of it already :)
