wearesuperior, your honesty makes you great! takes alot to admit something like that. FSU does have an amazing band as well as feature twirler karissa wimberly who is now at GA. I twirl for UND although Im from FL. Up here in ND no one appreciates the band as much as everywhere else in the country. At least you have fans that love you! good luck "weare" and have a great marching season.

Its College, The only thing people care about is how loud they can be. And with all due respect when your team wins 51-21 the band doesnt really mean much
@jkon7 it would mean a lot if they would play something worth listening to! u pay what $35 a ticket to be put to sleep at half time? why don't they play something from the likes of old phil collins, cyndi lauper, duran duran, justin timberlake something to wow the crowd
@AlphaStrike LOL...Moron?...i've seen their half time shows as well...and trust me nothing compare with even Avon high school marhing band...and Blue devils Drum& bugle corps, Cavaliers corp, Santa clara Corp...etc...etc....etc... i invite you to go to the DCI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS....just once! :-)
"jakemysweet" Im in the UF band this year so trust me when i say this, College band is a whole different world from hs. When we need to we can be in our spots and set within about 5 minutes. Which is necessary when we learn new shows every few weeks.
We are pushin about 300 or so members and 25 tubas (most since at least 5 yrs ago)
and "jakemysweet" if ur sousas arent runnin, they arent tryin.
dude, have you seen FSU's marching band? i can't remember the exact numbers, but when the band travels on away games, it's only 1/3 of the band that goes and they STILL have huge band. and being a gator fan, i can say that their band isn't bad either...one of the best in the state.
@ChompTrax The Marching Chiefs are more like one of the best in the country. I live in Tallahassee and am a senior at Chiles High School. I play the alto sax and have like 15 friends that have graduated and gone into Chiefs. One of my friends who is currently there says they have over 450 in their band. Btw, I'm a Florida fan but I do support the Chiefs. :P
