i once made a army with just guards men and a command squad,no upgrades apart from the better armor and morale.....the sight of over 200 las guns going off at once is very spectacular.Who would win in a fight 200 cultists no upgrades or 200 guards men no upgrades?

the cultists would get owned. they have crappy laspistols whicht are little more than angry flashlights and the fact that they gotta get close to the guard to be effective means they are going to take a pounding the way up. guard will then have numbers to rely on in close combat.

chaos has the best troops in the game coz once down the warhammer club 1 khorne berserker killed 10 fire warriors in close combat and yes i know firewarriors are crap in close combat but there was 10 of them

so... even 10 firewarriors commonly die to a berserker unless they get a luckey kill. i remember having 10 berserkers take on about 6 squads of firewarriors in an apocalypse battle b4 going down against crisis battlesuits.
