  • does laser surgery gives you 20/20 vision?

  • @gurabitybul It gave me 20/20 vision but I suppose it's dependent on your own vision.

  • What was recovery like? how long did it take before you could drive? How long was it before it stopped hurting?

  • @arilovegillesforever I don't drive so I couldn't tell you that really - but I was able to go to work and walk around etc after 5 days (3 recovery, 2 to give my vision a chance to improve). It didn't actually hurt at all - it was just a bit dry so I kept my eyes shut most of the time for the first 3 days.

  • @lightstarangel Thanks for getting back to me. I was able to get LASIK and this is my first day of recovery and I'm already comfortable enough to sit i front of a computer (dimmed, that is) and I'm wowed by how clearly I can see already. Thanks for sharing :)

  • No pain - just a bit of dryness but I didn't feel a thing!

  • Did it hurt a lot

  • Nope, no cutting or suctioning!

  • Wow! So this didn't invole any suctioning the eye or cutting unlike LASIK?

  • My prescription was pretty awful and I was near-sighted- around 8.50 in one eye, 6.50 in the other with astigmatism. Yes, at the end, they put a bandage contact on the eye to protect it as the epithelium heals.

  • What was your prescription? Were you near sighted or far sighted? I noticed that it looks as though they put a contact on your eye at the end - is that what they were doing?
