Not have a war. But it was pretty obvious that Russia was baited Georgia into an attack on the breakaway provinces, so they can have an excuse to invade Georgia.

Russia has been very aggressive towards Ukraine. Just a few years ago they restricted their access to natural gas in the throes of winter.
