I miss ME1's art design, it was so different from in ME2, a lot of what you see now is overly elaborate and gritty, I miss the clean look of 1, also, the contrast was better (less) in 1. 2 followed too many cliched sci-fi norms for my liking.

Microsoft only created the operating system. And BTW the xbox is in fact a PC (an old one albeit) but still a PC running on a windows operating system. So if I'm going with your logic then ME1 is PC exclusive.

Nobody thought that ME1's sidequests got a bit annoying while all there was were 3 simple stations to discover with just a little refurnishing? (The mine, the bunker and the mobile camp) I spent 35 hours through the game the first time. It was really good in the beginning with the amazing dialougs throughout the citadel and everything. But i'm a powerplayer. I want to complete everything in the game and the sidequests were all the same over and over. Am I alone thinking like this?

This video is old... Mass Effect came out in '07 so this was basically just a "Beta" preview on how it could've been. Would've been sweet though steering garrus or another teammate for a while, and amen to the annoying voice of ashley!

The requirments are the same for both. And even though ME2 looks better it runs better too. I highly recommend you get both :)

Game looks great, but i have a few questions, how interactive is it? is it a gta or is it more like fallout3? And is it OCD friendly, meaning, is it possible to learn and explore everything without it taking hundreds of hours. Like F3 is easily overcome but oblivion is not, if ya play oblivion and have OCD you will just go nuts, and it'll most likely take over your life? Its too big and theres too much history and story to learn. F3 is big, but not too big. So will i go nuts if i get this?

There is the main plot which you can complete pretty fast. I would guess it takes about 5-10 hours of gameplay to complete it. BUT. There are a lot of sidequests which you are free to skip (but you will miss about 50% of the game by doing that). So it is similar to Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Mass Effect has a pretty deep storyline, but it's not near as lore heavy as The Elder Scrolls series. There is lot's to find out and discover but you don't have to do and see everything in order to have a great experience with this game. As far interactivity, the more XP you gain the more dialog options there are to chose from, making it "easier" to choose and play as a true paragon(good) or as a renegade(evil). Some choises you make really do have an impact.

In Mass Effect 2 you will be able to import your safegame from the first game. The choices you made in the first game will have consequences in the second game. I did everything there was to do in the first game and it took me about 40 hours do do it. This game is a winner in my book!!!

This is from an early version of the game, much was changed before the final cut, including the voice of the female character in this clip, enemy designs and interface details. They also give far too much away about the plot here. It's sort of like neither of the games you describe or half way between, depending on how you look at it. It's its own thing. Very good and IMO better than both GTA and (ugh) fallout 3. Play on the PC if possible, it's the best version.

Finding Liara I think it's called. Also Ashley's voice is different on my version too. And you can't place each squad member in different places like they show either.

I think that the squad control system in THIS version of mass effect is better than the current squad control system on both the Pc and 360. Also I think that THIS armature looks more threatening and thus better than the current armature. I also like the gun mounted on the armature and the large size of it .

Depends how familiar you are with RPGs, what difficulty you set it at and what class you choose (not that any of the classes are harder than the others, it's just that the soldier is always a good choice for begginers since they focus on straightforward combat).

The Mass Effect we got in the end was completely botched. This plasma mod on his shotgun + the fact you can control other teammates were awesome features. Also most of the side planets were so empty, I think its acceptable and realistic that some planets might be like this but there were too few planets with actual "living life" on them. Side assignments on major planets (Feros or Noveria) were very rudimentary too.

For unknown reasons, it is still one of the best game I ever played.

Yes, you can use the same character.

You`ll even have all your level you had when finished game and you will be able to relocate all skillpoints.

Don't know what you mean by stuff from side quests but you can start again with the same character. You go to "Start New Career" and then coose "Select Existing Profile" and you'll go into the game with the same character and everything you had before. Your Paragon and Renegade points will go back down to zero, though.
