  • Mistake : Before turn on the fuel flow on pedestal, first you may open the "engine start" button to start. Than wait N2 to be 24% and than open the fuel flow switch on pedestal. This prosedure is in real aircraft.

  • @MrErtozka

I made an improved video as mentioned in the description which shows the correct procedure. Also, you don't have to wait for 24% N2. Keep in mind the 777 has an autostart system which automatically introduces the fuel at the right time. Therefore, real pilots switch the FCS almost right after the selector is set to START.

  • See, the remedy to this is obviously to spend about 50K on a home built simulator of the 77, or you can spend 20 million on an FM Simulator of the 777, or PMDG can friggin announce when they will release the bloody 777 so we can all say, yeah, finally, I don't have to fly my 744, for another year...

  • @FloridianAirsofters

Yeah I agree. It's about time PMDG use their expertise to create the world's first truly realistic B777 sim for FS9/X.

  • Yeah, but PMDG said they will not release anything for FS9 again, they say basically that the "market is dead" and that is based off of current market trends

  • @FloridianAirsofters

If that's the case with PMDG, then I guess all the B777 fans are going to have to move over to FSX unless they can stick with PSS on FS9.

  • This is better then Wilco B777-2ER one right?

  • The N1 should not drop when fuel is injected! Also fuel is added way to early, normally would be around N1 4%. And when fuel is inject a quick increase to 6% then less quick to idle

  • @Vbuttstedt

The fuel injection process is done automatically by the Boeing 777's Autostart system. In terms of the realism of the N1 increase, I have to agree with you that the flight simulator is not very accurate. I have seen real 77W engine starts and the N1 slowly increases from 5% (where fuel is injected) slowly to idle running speed of about 19-21% N1.

  • @AuliaHarun

The PSS 777 EGT is also wrong during startup, in a real plane (assuming normal cold start of course) the EGT slowly climbs and bit above and then settles at the idle temperature. It would not surge to 800C like that.

Also, no matter how long you motor it, the PSS 777 N1 will never go past 2.5%.

  • @RixceU

Yeah the PSS777 has so many flaws. Normally, the N1 will reach to 5-6% before the fuel is introduced. I really hope PMDG works on the 777, it's about time the FS community needs a realistic 777.

  • @AuliaHarun

PSS 777 is pretty good actually compared to many other paywares. It doesn't have too many major flaws.

  • @RixceU

Yup, you're definitely right. It is definitely as close to the real 777 at the moment.

  • Where can I download the beeping sound effect, i.e. the one that plays when the engine starts up?

  • @SenjoroNie

It comes as default with the aircraft. A simple search in flightsim or avsim should do it.

  • How did you got the glass cockpits at the side on ?

  • @0909Pilot

Turn on the battery and APU.

  • where did you get the livery

  • Default PSS livery. It can't be downloaded as far as I am concerned.. it comes with the whole package. It is not impressive in my opinion...

  • shouldn't you be pushing back during engine start?

  • Yes, normally the aircraft is either pushing back or ready to taxi when the engines are starting. This was just a simple demonstration of the engine start itself.

  • this really helpful for a starter like me..but what did you click on 00:43? you didn't give the little thing that said no 2 start or somehting

  • That was the engine start switch for the No. 2 engine.

  • hmm. The engine view where it shows the EGT status.

  • No software required! I just used my joystick's hat switch to look at the EGT status and then pressed the + key to zoom in - simple as that!!

  • If you use a joystick, use the hat switch. If not, use the numeric keypad on your keyboard.

  • HI. I like your animation. May I know which software you use. Because I'm doing sch project just to draw the EGT.

  • Which software are you talking about? The plane? The recording software? The engine views?

  • wow is this like flight simulator

  • This IS a flight sim...

  • Nice video maan... to get perfect you only need to merge it with PSS's VC and get a good soundpack :D

  • This IS PSS's VC and I have a better soundset with it. To view the newer version please refer to the description... the sound is more realistic...

  • how do I make IDG DRIVES work?

    thx in advance

  • Sorry, I have no clue how they work...

  • Is wilco or just flight 777 better?

  • JustFlight 777 is way much better.

  • Thanks! but is it expensive?

  • It's not too expensive like the PMDG ones...

  • yo aulia im new to this game and dont have a joystick yet but how do u taxi using the keyboard everytime im taxiing when i use the arrow keys the plane doesn't move anywhere just keeps going straight. msg me when u find out

  • I don't know how to taxi using the keyboard because I have never tried it. The reason why it didn't move is because the arrow keys are AILERON/ELEVATOR inputs.. You need to use keys that correspond to RUDDER inputs in order to steer the nose wheel.

  • Hey GH3BOYXD,

I've had a little experience taxiing with the keyboard. Make sure you know which key centers the controls (I think by default it's NUM5 on the number pad). The default rudder command keys are NUM0 (on number pad) and Enter (on number pad). Just hold the rudder command until you get the turn rate desired. When exiting the turn you hit the center controls key (it won't be very smooth but does the trick).

  • is this fsx ??

  • Your answer should be in the video description.

  • how do u move around in the cockpit like that?

  • I used the 8-way hat switch on the joystick. I did not use any FS2004 utilities.

  • oh and another thing do u need a sim yoke throttle and pedals to play this game?

  • No you don't need those. In fact you can even fly with your arrow keys and just the keyboard only. But I recommend getting at least an affordable joystick for realism.

  • oh ok thanks man i was thinking about getting this game.

  • If you're completely new to flight simulation and aviation in general, do be aware that there is quite a learning curve involved, lots of concepts to grasp, etc. It can get overwhelming at times during the initial phase. But persevere. Once you get over the initial hurdles and sucessfully conduct your first flight, you'll never look at the sky the same way again :) I specialise on the Boeing 777, and I'm still learning new things about the aircraft from lzd772, great source of help he's been.

  • I totally agree with jimfwh on this one.. I really do not consider this as a game. It is more than a game, it really requires some extensive knowledge of general aviation to get you flying. I always refer this as a simulation rather than a game.

  • agreed! it takes a really long time to actually fly and land somewhere.!

  • i gotta get this game!

  • dose any 1 know if the project open sky 777 vc works on flight sim x because ive dowloaded the 777 and the vc dosent work

  • Where is the APU??

  • The APU is located in the electrical part of the overhead panel. It is on the upper left hand corner.

  • Hey Aulia, thnx for sharing your video. I flown the posky 777's in my fs9 and fsx. No doubt they are awesome. I heard that they have almost accurate flight dynamics. But does the payware 777's have the accurate flight dynamics like posky? Or are they even better? I don't have any of them cause neither I have any credit card nor my parents will spend for me. Another question, can you fly with mouse in the fs9? In fsx we can use the mouse as a yoke which makes flying more enjoyable.

  • I would say that both, the flight dynamics of the POSKY 777 and this PSS777 are quite realistic. As far as I know, FS9 does not allow you to fly with the mouse... but yes, FSX does. But why not use a joystick or a flight yoke for a more realistic feel?

  • Thanks 4 all da info, friend. I think a Yoke would be best for me. Joysticks make me feel like flying an Airbus what I don't like much. To me, Boeing is the best bird of the world. Keep rocking!

  • well there's a freeware mouse yoke program addon for FS9 that i enjoy using since i don't have a stick. :D

  • Try the freeware POSKY 777. It has a better exterior model and flight dynamics but you have to find a panel and a good sound set, all available in the internet.

    I'm not advertising just recommending.

  • Yup, I surely agree!! POSKY have the best B777 Exterior model out there. In fact I have one in my FS2004 hangar. But I like the PSS more because of the realistic panel and the way they simulate real-life cockpit systems. If only POSKY worked along with PSS, there would be a better 777!

  • The VC in the POSKY 777 is unclickable. If posky made the VC clickable and a bit more realistic (gauges are not realistic), then posky will have the BEST freeware EVER!

  • Yup, I agree! All they need left is a realistic panel that replicates its real-world counterpart.

  • You just need POSKY and PSS to work together...

POSKY's 777 is way overpowered though (you can cruise at 50% N1). But a certain YT friend of us has kindly sent me a new FDE he's made that corrects this problem :-).

  • Does anyone know how to merge the PSS 777 panel to the POSKY model?

  • Comment removed

  • Hi, I just merged the PSS 777 panel to the POSKY model. With the help of R1door who tweaked the FDE, it works like a charm (I'm still doing some small adjustments right now). Currently, I've only done the -200, but I can do the 300ER later. If you would like the merged aircraft folder, PM me where to send it to.

  • The VC is clickable.

  • Some controls that play a role in real life are not clickable... Why won't you try clicking the pressurization switch and see if it turns?

  • Agreed, there are certain swithces that are unclikcable simply because they perform actions outside the realm of the flight simulator platform.

  • This is totally cool! Haha!

    lzd772 style, huh?

Aulia, please make more videos that are similar to that of lzd772, it's cool!

  • Yep, pretty much lzd772 style!! The only difference is I added the exterior views. I'll be glad to make videos similar to lzd772's and other (look-a-likes) but only if I have permission from him that is!!

  • haha. I'm considering whether to switch to fs2004 cuz i realised that FSX has really little addons for it. Is the default planes in fs2004 good?

  • Yeah, I would recommend switching back to FS2004.. better performance, easier frame rates, and most af all, tons of addons!! The default aircraft are good for starters, but I would suggest getting some addons, there are some pretty good freeware aircraft out there. One of the main reasons why I still use FS2004 is because of the PSS777. It is only available on FS2004. Another one that is FSX available is Wilco's 777, but IMO, it is not as good and realistic as the one I am using.

  • hey, does fs9 have missions? And do they have a 777 plane by default?

  • FS9 does not have missions unfortunately. They have a default 777 aircraft but it is not as good and realistic though...

  • Did you try meljet 777? they look pretty good. i think i wasted my money on FSX.

Does the tiller work in this 777?

  • Meljet's 777 are good in exterior modeling and quality. However, they lack the leading edge flap betweend the inboard slat and the engine mount. Also, Meljet 777 don't come with realistic panels and virtual cockpits like the PSS 777. Another good freeware 777 is Project OpenSky's 777. I think they are better than Meljet at this time. Again, they also do not have a nice panel but they have a photorealistic virtual cockpit; but you can't operate the VC much like I did. So I still stick with PSS.

  • hehe...you have really convinced me. I am going to buy the PSS 777!!!!

Well, i hope my country sells that...

  • Oops, forgot to mention, by the way, the tiller does not work (unfortunately); but rudder steering does work on the PSS 777!!

  • Hey Aulia, I don't wanna bug you or anything but for the future...I think you're supposed to 1.)twist the start switch on the overhead panel before 2.) flicking the fuel control switch on the center pedestal from cutoff to run. It seems that you did it in the inverse. And yes I too am totally taken by POSKY's 777 model and VC..too bad it isn't for FSX..but I have the Wilco 777 so I'm happy! We're all happy! And then after start actions you can go apu off, cncl/rcall, then do the checklist.

  • I will try to start the engines that way next time, thanks for the suggestions!! :)

  • you should also push back and start the engines 4 the realistic feel

  • Yes, commonly the aircraft starts the engines during pushback. Here I was just demonstrating the engine start. That would be a good suggestion to create a more realistic feel :)

  • no problem

  • hey aulia, i just want to ask what commercial aircrafts do fs9 provide. As in BIG AIRCRAFT.

I really want to buy fs2004 since every addons is all fs2004. Arrgh....i love fsx missions, hate the little amounts of addons

  • The only commercial aircraft they provide are the Boeing 737-400, 747-400, and 777-300. They are 'okay aircraft' to start out with, but I really recommend this PSS777 add-on if you are a B777 lover like me :) I know it is hard to resist the new features in FSX, but the existence of this 777 add-on made me go back to FS2004, because, additionally, it performs better and has more addons available.

  • I guess, maybe i should really change but i'm afraid that it would be very expensive.

  • Actually the price of FS2004 dropped now. I bought it in 2005 for USD $30.00. By now it should be even cheaper because FSX has been out for a year or two.

  • Oh...that's cool. Now, i have to get through my parents...

  • About the APU, in some airlines they go off after the "After T/O" Checklist!

  • Isn't that more to be found in airbuses? Because I also know that in the airbus models, you can take off without the packs on. then after thrust reduction you turn the packs on 1 at a time. But the way I was taught and they way it seems every Boeing pilot here on youtube (Izd)does things normally is to alway have the packs on for takeoff and to turn the APU off after engine start. Maybe it has something to do with the different operating systems...i.e. hydraulic pumps, hydrualic systems, etc.

  • I think I've read it in Continental Airlines Boeing 777 Flight Manual...

Maybe it's just a Continental's paramater for the APU

  • On my flight simulator, I do exactly like lzd772, that is, turn off APU after engine start and leave packs on.

  • But of course you can! Too bad they didn't replicate the GE sound.

  • If someone replicated it, the stores would be flooded. really flooded.

  • Yeah..but you can add sound-ware packs from "trusted" simming sites...like before I got the Wilco 777 for FSX, I had imported the FS9 default 777 to FSX plus added the sound pack for the Rolls Royce Trent sound for the 777. In this way I was able to get that awesome screaming sound when the Trents derate for climb thrust!

  • Yup, it is possible to get realisitic sounds, but looking for them is quite a task :) I will try to get a video of an engine spool-up with this sound pack, it sounds quite realistic...
