Cool video, I went to 2 Vikes Training Camps myself in the late 80's. I was in jr high at the time of this video and 1986 had to be one of my more (although there are many lol) frustrating seasons. This team had a top 5 offense and defense and lost some heart breaking games to good teams. The Giants (who won it all) on a 4th & 17, at Washington in OT, and the Browns because our punter got hurt. Not that they would have won it all, but with a little luck could of been an 11-5 type team.
Yes, I did! I was the blond-haired kid that walked away with the piece of paper right after the camera switched to Tommy head-on. Tommy Kramer wasn't going to stop and offer any kids autographs, but my Mom saw to it that that wasn't going to happen!
@klier why would he not offer kids autographs? he loves kids. one of his daughters was 2 years old at the time and he had a blast with her, so it doesn't really seem logical that he would have an aversion to children.
@natalie091390 I'm not saying he had an aversion to children at all, but I'm sure at times you feel more up to giving autographs than others. It's hard to put on the public face all the time. I was excited after I got the autograph, and still have it, along with many Tommy Kramer "Minnesota Police Football Cards" in my collection.
@natalie091390 Hey Natalie,I had the pleasure of meeting Tommy, Kayla,Scotty, and Eva at my cousins house Saturday @ New Years.Wanted to say, your dad is one of the kindest people I think I have ever met.Truly a wonderful human being!!!
Was Joey Browner there?
