When I try to do this, I get stuck if i copy the arrow. when I do this, and place it above the other arrow, there is a space of white, that will cover the most under arrow.
when you said "delet one node of the square" you just clicked. but you did not say what tool to select and then while clicking do I have to press any key such as Control or shift?
@barnamah select the square and then click on "object to path" from path menu. This will show the nodes. Select the second tool from the left toolbar. Click on the node to be deleted and press the delete button.
Thanks very much, that's helped me do what I wanted much easier than what I would have done otherwise, which would have involved much inaccurate moving of nodes
How do you "delete a node" to turn the square into a rectangle? Digging online, I see you hold down Ctrl+Alt while clicking the "node", but my square doesn't seem to have any "nodes" only "handles".
First run a ObjectToPath operation on it (the square), short key Shift+Ctrl+C.. then select the control tool with F2. Now hold Shift+Alt and click a corner..wioala!

How did you do the delete part? When I select it and press 'delete' , the line splits in two :/

Thanks! Make more! I learned about deleting paths, aligning, doing a union, and even the blur thing all from this one video.

Creating an arrow directly using the Pen tool is an option, if you want to get some organic and asymmetric looking arrows. :)

Kind of an important step.

For some reason, I was not able to use the reply feature here for a while. Thanks for supplying that important info. :)
