Heh, I bet things DO go better with Coke.. Or heroine. Whichever was Ray's poison of choice.

I never heard this. This is great. If I heard this on the radio back then, I'd want a coke.

They did another up tempo Coke commercial that has a line 'why do you bring me coffee in the morning..when you know I really what is Coke'.
When I heard this I was thinking that it wouldn't be aired long..and I was right.

From 1966. The voice-over intro was E. Rodney Jones from W.V.O.N. Chicago. This really takes me back. Thanks for this one.

believe me whatever these two are singing about on this number, it isn't coca cola.

Ray and Aretha are the GREATEST. I didn´t know that they made a song about Coca Cola.

Mary isn't even in the same league as either Aretha or Tina. Alicia Keys is The Queen of Hip Hop and Soul!
MrStyle23 3 years ago
Mary is a 90's diva, Aretha is a 60's diva... you just can't compare them when that is basically your parents/children's generation!
Both did well in their respective primes, and both had competition in their primes as well. I prefer Soul over hip-hop as hip-hop lacks EMOTION.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Aretha sounds kinda tired on this one. Her voice needed some rest.
