  • Great, informative I like how you explained how to do it wish me luck :)

  • Great Vid Man

  • NOW I'M READY!

  • 20 MIN QUICKSET FOR A FAST DRY

  • @MrDaveyboyy I did use 20 min but newbies would have a tough time with it.

  • I do recommend a day in between coats if you haven't worked with drywall before. There is what is called "hot mud" which can set-up as quickly as 5 minutes which means you could finish a patch in the same day but it can be tough to work with if you don't have experience with it.

  • The best drywall video I've seen so far. But let me get this straight: It takes 3 days to patch drywall: Day 1, first coat, dry overnight; Day 2, sand and second coat, dry overnight; Day 3 sand again? Then a day to apply primer and a day to paint?

  • That's some good stuff

  • good stuff

  • Too big of a patch for that size of a hole. Illusions of a flat surface wall are done with much smaller area. Also, there should never be a need to sand. Too much dust, effort and time. Apply mud right the first time and no need to sand. But, for a homeowner or diy-er, this video is really helpful.

  • Thank you for the well demonstrated presentation. Very helpful !

  • I love how simple you make it, no BS and its easy to understand. 10/10 man keep up the good work. and by the way you present your work well i could tell you know what your doing

  • What about patching a hole just like that (from a door knob) in a room that already has paint/texture. Does that same technique apply? Cuz I noticed that this is a patch job on an unfinished/unpainted piece of drywall.

  • The technique is the same for sure. Smaller patch kits are available for door nob holes.

  • @ChaiVat Yes, the same technique is used.

  • thank you...i punched a whole in my basement wall and my mom found it hehe:) Now i have to fix it and paint it or im grounded for a good while...Thanks!

  • That was fantastic! Thanks for the video! I hung drywall in New Orleans for 3 weeks after the Hurricane. I'm trying to learn finishing and taping now.
