  • Who the Picts were is a bit of an opaque issue, though judging by the remnants of Pictish still around in place names and such (such as the "Aber" in Aberdeen), I would say it is highly likely they spoke Brythonic, or at least a very closely related language. The people south of the Antonine Wall, however, were wholly Brythonic, and were only finally subsumed into Scotland when Strathclyde was conquered in the 11th century.

  • @chrisjoneschrisjones Some say Picts werent brythonic but something smilar but different I think is hard to prove something but I would say they were only separted by their breten after Roman Occupation
