the reason why i would make a diorama would be to green screen me and make a little stop motion film with minutures and have like a sword fight or make a 300 diorama and make a remake of the 300 battle with me green screened into it with a stop animation film
its pretty good stuff, like a paste, great for building on scenery, gaps, etc.... i used to do ho scale layouts and many hobbysist put flex paste or glue in the mold to have a stronger bond...there is some talk that not putting glue in the mix, overtime the mold may crack.
Also for gluing wood or building wood modles..."LIQUID NAILS" (THE SMALL TUBE) IS THE BEST THAT I KNOW OF...

Amazing vids mate, you have put me straight back in the mood to start up again.Check my stuff out if you wish, feedback would be very encouraging. 1 thing though. What is the purpose of a diarama,i thought maybe it was designed to display minitures. I will give this a try though.Exellent work my freind.

it depends if you have a software that will key out greenscreen...if you have that nad a green screen it should be free a good software that takes green screen and does other cool effects is called adobe premiere elements or adobe after effects. both great software but cost quite a bit of money

nice but my fave way to paint rocks is base them with a grey not too light or dark then apply a black wash of very watered down black do darken the recess and add shading then drybrush with a lighter grey then an extreme drybrush of an even lighter grey to show weathering
i have a question, If a took a rock from out side and say covered it with something and then put paper mache over it would i get the same rock affect?
no, if you covered it in paper mache you would lose the nice rocky detail. You might try painting a rock with a clear coat finish. That might work well. Just pick interesting rocks! The hard thing about using rocks from outdoors is they don't often look like the right scale. In a diorama a rock needs to look proper to scale. it needs to often be a few inches in size yet look a hundred feet as compared to the diorama.
Do you have an email so I can email you the project Im trying to do. I could send you pictures and you could give me some suggestions on how to make such Diorama. Id appreciate it
I cast plaster rocks using molds and hydrocal. Full tutorials on my site and all the stuff available at amazon. tutorial Part 4 shows the whole process.
I think that a 300 Diorama will be cool. It may take a long time, but it will still be very cool. I think you should do it.=)If you make it put it on your webpage.
