  • Yes,it is beautiful.Wish more people could treat their Betta like this.

  • i also have a 5 gal tank with two betta ( velvet and ariana) both girls of course 3 tetras and cory the cory cat fish

  • my betta i got at mejeir is in a three gallon cylender tank is that enough space?

  • @mrcheekycheeks why are you still commenting? i think i will put my better in a candle holder for now on, thanks!

  • I'm gonna put a betta in my ten gallon, with mabey some white clouds, or a cory cat. Any other fish that can live with bettas?

  • @ben191209

Zebra Dainos, Neon Tetras, Mollies...all good choices. Good luck! He will love the extra swimming space!

  • @skimstr Thanks Man!!!

  • bro or babe i usually dont comment for fishes but it is really so kind of u to take care of that betta bec most bettas live a horrible life and some assholes put bettas into a fight just for fun and put them back in their tiny bowls :( i hope you make thet betta feel happy.:))))))))))

  • @dragongujals

Thanks a bunch! I agree with you completely. Whats the point of keeping them in a 1 gallon take? I say let them spread their fins in a 5+ gallon! They become much more active and in my experience live longer and healthier lives.

  • @skimstr I totally agree with you guys :), I just got a 5 gallon for mine which I will hopefully be getting soon :)

  • What kind of heater are you using?

  • @Roundhere44

Its a small 50watt heater that i bought at Walmart for $15.00

  • @skimstr Thanks! Just got it, and it works great! :D

  • @mrcheekycheeks

Can't even remember typing that, however, fish swim SIDE WARDS, not upwards.

  • @MadAboutAltonTowers either way bud it has way more SIDEWAYS room then 95% of other pet bettas, trust me on this. Most bettas not to mention end up living and dieing in a a tiny plastic cup, if they do get picked they are usually put in a .5- 1 gallon if lucky, which will have way less sideways space then his set up. Lets work on the people who still think plastic bowls are acceptable setups before we attack this guy who is many steps ahead of your average betta owner

  • I have the same ornament! (The barrels)

  • cool, i have a blue betta fish, its a bit smaller and its blue.

  • poor thing...

  • @MadAboutAltonTowers poor thing? this betta is in a 5g gallon heated filtered tank, about 95% of people keep their bettas in an unfiltered unheated tiny bowl or vase, hes living the life, especially compared to most pet bettas

  • @mrcheekycheeks I PUT MY BETTA IN ABOWL FOR AWILL BUT I GOT HIM HIS OWN 100 GALLON FISH TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • i used to have a betta in that same tank with that same hiding spot as yours...it seams like a common tank

  • cool

  • Nice tank but I have read that a Betta does better in a verical tank for more airspace than a horizontal like this one.

  • @PuganPoo

this tank looks more vertical than horizontal

  • king of the hill in back rock imao

  • What a cutie!!

  • hey man nice tank, i just got done with my 10 gallon tank let me know what you think.. check it out in my channel

  • @s2ktuner

Thanks. I'm going to checkout your setup right now!

  • Haha

King of the hill in the background

  • nice tanks, love the king of the hill in the background lmao

  • wow thats a very nice decorated tank wow can u give me some tip on how to make my 5 gallon aquarium look good like urs

  • i think by betta is sick. i have him in this tank and he has been at the bottom not smimming for two days. he only moves when he needs to breath. he dosn't eat.

    please help me!!!

  • @1234thefishguy how big is the tank?

  • @Spiritedaway182 5 gallons

  • @1234thefishguy try feeding it some live food then or check the ph level of the water ....

  • @Spiritedaway182 hes better now, he just had swim bladder

  • where did you get the tank and how much did it cost?

  • @thePapermaster1234 49.99 at petsmart

  • i ate a betta once

  • @shamheff1989 sicko

  • thumbs up if you hear hank hill in the background

  • Great video, thanks for answering my question on Yahoo!

Also, I love that King of the Hill is on in the background.

  • I don't usually like fake plants in tanks, but your whole setup looks absolutely lovely!!!! Good job!

  • @4Guppies that size is only ten bucks at walmart. But I know what you mean. I have two larger ones for my big tanks, and one works great, and the other one barely keeps the water at 78, even when the switch is set to maximum. But the other one, cranked all the way up, heats the water up to a balmy 88 degrees. Go figure.

  • it would look better if u put some neon tetras like mine

  • @lutfirrahman don't put tetras in with bettas. Tetras will tear the betta to shreds. Recipe for disaster.

  • is it ok i my betta lives in a 120 gallon tank with a chocolate pleco and a jardini that eats anything smaller than it!! plzz help

  • Im thinking of getting a betta fish after my goldfish goes (it's unfortunatley on its way I think :( but its had a good 10 years!) What temparature is best for a betta? I have a 21 litre tank with filter and plants - would this be good enough for a betta?

    Thanks!

  • @littlevic1989 my betta flourishes in my heated tropical community tank. So 78 to 80 degrees.

  • perfect home for a bettafish, GOOD JOB!

  • Nice set up! I had that same tank and my Betta lived almost 4 years in that tank ....and the 5 gallon mini -bow tank. I dont know if the tank size had anything to do with it but he was happy:) . I had to throw the tank away though, my rabbits ate the electrical cords....and the side of the tank:(

  • I have the same betta type as you.i have a 1 gallon and im thinking of upgrading to a 5 where did you get that one.Anyone who can help me take care of mine watch my video and give me feed back

  • where did u get the tank from???

  • King of the hill in da background!

  • I have a hex aquarium too :)

  • @ 123ilc45, they do well in room temp

  • What temperature do bettas live in cold warm?

  • @123ilc45 65-80 degrees F. 81 degrees F is like perfect though.

  • @superrrbadchickadee thanks i always wonderd about tht

  • your betta is gorgeous <3 :)

  • Thats awesome. I have my betta in a small quart-half gallonish size bowl. I recently got him. I am going to buy a 5 gallon a few neon tetras and ghost shrimp. I am planning on something along the lines of your community tank video. I hope You betta lives a long and prosperous life! Mines name is Jude!

  • thats a nice looking betta

  • Haha thats a great episode in the backround XD

  • he looks happy. Bettas love those barrel caves, My girlfreind has one for hers and he won't come out. Made a bubble nest in it

  • I'm planning on getting this tank as an upgrade for my Betta. The tank is going to be set up using the Walstad method. That way once the tank is established, the cheap filter can be removed or used only to circulate the water. Add a couple shrimps and snails; presto, mini ecosystem.

  • @TurtleDana89 what's the walstad method? Bettas eat shrimp so be careful. They may eat snails too. All my ghost shrimp went missing within a day.

  • @robotperson1 white spots are killing your fish

  • @FFAfish

well i bought them from the pet store so they're not really from 1 kind

i got 1 male thats red with a really long tail that reminds me of a tango dancer and 1 yellow male with a swordy tail and i've got 4 females for them, 2 reds 1 black'ish and 1 with a panter-like tail and yes they're breeding haha :P

  • @FFAfish

yeah it kinda grew large so i put it in the pond at my mom's job its like 3mtr X 2 Mtr and 1 mtr deep

    now i have guppies <3

  • rofl i used to have a fish bowl but the glass broke and then i got something like this from my parents but the goldfish was too big too fit so i bought a 60 litre tank instead xD

    nice tank btw

  • Nice tank man, check out my tank @soundwave396

  • FINALLY!!!!! Someone puts their betta in the right living conditions. *Claps* good job. I just saw this video where a person was trying to justify bowls and she was recomending them O_o. I'm planning on getting a betta. He'll be going in a 10 gallon with two female dwarf frogs (maybe). Anyways, if you cycled this tank, how did you cycle it? I'm trying to find to best way.

  • Be careful. My betta picked on my dwarf frog so I had to put the frog in another tank.

  • your betta is very nice and looks happy, i hope he lives a long happy life with you! your an eccelent owner.

  • Yay for 5 gallon!

  • I'm hoping to upgrade to this tank ^-^ My betta lives in a 2 gal. right now, and he's doing okay, but I feel like he deserves better.

  • I have the same tank XD!!!! I love your betta!!!!! The red ones are always so awdorable :]]]]]]]

  • you really dont need that heater, but with or without it, ur doing great care for that betta

  • I give you credit :)

I love when people are smart and give these beautiful fish more then a cup :)

hes a cutie ! , you should add some java fern or other real plants

  • Glad to see people taking care of their bettas. My betta lives in the exact same tank as yours, and what caught my eye is the exact same decoration as mine (the hiding spot) :) . beautiful beta..

i'm just wondering if your heater is a self set because mine was and I replaced it with one that you can manually set yourself.. My betta was sitting at the bottom for a while until i replace it.. and i'm leaving the heat now around 27.9 Celsius..

  • @drewber83 meeh...i guess 26.5 iss betttter

  • King of the hill! haha

  • the white gravel

im trying to choose a gravel that would best reflect the ocean because i have a tropical tank so i thought of white

but im concerned that in a short period of time the white gravel will go pale or dull and look horrible so im not sure what to choose

  • someone is watching king of the hill lol..

  • He looks happy!! I have that same heater

  • not only are ur betta display, AND betta very nice, but i heard hank in the backround. i LOVE king of the hill! lol :D

  • I will ask my dad if I could get my Betta this tank. He is alone but I want the best for him.

  • Awsome. I just bought the same tank, but I have more plants in mine. I got white rocks with shiney glass gray beads. It looks great and my betta, Tasuki, seems sooooo happy. :)

  • 5 gallon marineland hex is awesome. Its like heaven for one or two fish. I have a 20 gallon reef tank with a 5 gallon hex growing coral, minimal maintenance.

  • hey how do i get to the propeller cuase my hex 5 barely puts out any water and i have the right filter for a hex 5 please respond

  • The pump impeller can be accessed this way:

    1. Unplug & remove pump assembly

    2. Drop the biowheel into the tank to keep it wet

    3. Pull the pick-up tube out of the lower pump body

    4. "Rock" the bottom plate back and forth as you pull while holding the pump body

    5. Once the bottom plate is off pull out the impeller, clean with a brush and fresh water NO SOAP! Also clean the inside of the pick up tube, the bottom plate, filter and the round slot where the impeller fits.

    6. Reassemble & Plug in!

  • they are good in vase's to i have one he loves it! i will probaly get a little tank like that and get another betta and put it in

  • Is this tank hard to clean? I'm getting a Betta soon, and I would really like to get it the same cage :)

  • Dear lord, I commend you sir, Betta's usually get cups, little guppy bowls, or those fucking like 1 gallon plastic containers for homes. Thank god someone treats a betta nicely.

  • @PivotElite amen

  • @PivotElite I have my betta in a 45 gallon. She was ecstatic when I put her in there from that little Petco cup full of ammonia.

  • @PivotElite EXACTLY! i hate seeing those poor bettas and when i freak out in a pet store my freinds go "jeez what's wrong it doesn't hurt them" well i can tell you it DOES please for the love of God put your fish in a proper tank cannot stress that enough

  • @PivotElite I agree. My bettas actually live the good life amongst my other fish in a 75 gallon tank :)

  • @PivotElite Yes finally somebody understands my hatred for people that do that. I keep 1 female Betta in a 120 gallon tank.

  • @PivotElite mine's in a 55 gallon :-D

  • beautiful betta

  • JUDY I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thtats the exact same tank I have, but I havr two Goldfish in it

  • Just saw this episode of king of the hill 1 minute ago. Good show for fish to watch.

  • Brilliant, the white substrate really brings out the Betta's Colour

  • My betta had 3 babies!!!!!!

  • only 3?

  • how old is it

  • wow! your betta looks EXACTLY like mine!

  • haha there is king of the hill playing in the background

  • Love king of the hill :P

  • @NothingMuffins WIN!

  • my baby cousin has one just like that and its a female LOL

  • hmm it looks lonely.

u shld put some african dwarf frogs in there or cherry or ghost shrimp.

    they get along.

  • Thats one lucky betta with lots of room around to swim in and the decoration is awesome too =)

  • Where can i get a tank like that?

  • they sell those everywhere.

    i saw some at petsmart

  • nice tank

  • nice tank!

but just a suggestion, you should replace the plastic plants with silk plants.(so if the betta swims around them they don't damage his tail)

  • to small and add some back ground..

  • are you high!? its 5 gallons!! the fish is fine. My betta is in a 5 gallon tank.

  • king of the hilllllllllll lol awesome

  • nice tank!!

  • no bad comment or anything( i have the same fish tank) but why would you spend over 40 bucks on a fish tank for a betta?

  • i agree.. i was lucky and found my 5 gallon for $20.. its long and it is for my one betta.. but when my betta dies i plan on getting other fish that get along

  • nice setup...the betta looks happy.

  • hey thats king of the hill its the episode when the movie store says hank rented a porn movie and he takes it to court to not pay the bill

  • nice tank set up very pretty it brings out the colors in the beta.

  • Wow very very pretty tank. I like it! Betta looks so so happy! I have 7 bettas myself, 6 in a 30 gallon divided, heated & filtered tank and 1 in a huge critter keeper. My tank doesn't look as nice though but the fish is happy. Guess I have to make do for now till I have the resource :) but I really like your tank!

  • shut up hank hill, you suck

  • i have a question ,,, is the filtration is a good one?

  • haha thanks for the compliments!

  • the water is soooo clear you can see ur reflection lol cool videos

  • I have an Eclipse 5 Hex too, but yours looks wayyy bigger for some reason. lol.

  • how did you use your anti- chlorine for your tank?

  • u guys shold watch my vid

  • Please explain to me why you consider this betta "poor".

If I am not mistaken, that tank is heated and filtered, and he has plenty enough space to be happy.

    -Don

  • tell me and explain me how this betta is poor its only 1 betta and its a perfect galloon for it it have clean water and fresh displays. so yes tell me how

  • i just put my Betta in the same tank i will be putting my video of him on you tube tomorrow

  • whats the fishy's name??? u should name it either sabastion orrrr mr. crabs

  • well, nothing enjoyable about it...

  • I used to have this tank... I liked it but the filtration system wasn't great at all.... too complicated

  • How complicated: A sucker takes the water and puts it where the sponge is then the sponge filters the water, then it is released to a wheel and the wheel puts it outside in the tank...wow hard...
