Take a canvas pouch, line it with FLEXIBLE plastic lining (Like the old ALICE pouch lining.) Stick your spring follower assembly in that. This gives you a lighter, quieter, cheaper to manufacture pouch that will flex enough to fit the individual.
Make an open top version, every JOE in the field is used to open top pouches, it may not be as fast but it wont require new training.
Any plans to make them carry 12oz glass beer bottles for rapid deployment?
