Few questions m8 can I ask does this model still have the engine dumb down switch ? So you can change the power ? If so how does it work ? And can I ask how tall are you pls ?? Great vid thanks
@1975supermike im about 5,10 5,11 and yes it has an A and B engine mode A is full power and B mode reduces the power by half , all you do is press the mode button which is next to your full beam headlight switch
@BL4STIN im going to get a bike soon and ive never drove a motorcycle, would this be a good starting bike? Cause i really dont know what kind of starting bike to get, and i dont want a 250. Thanks
@FPS360MASTER If you ride for the first time on a brand new 600 sports bike you'll forever to learn the skill and confidence required ride fast (If you don't kill yourself or wreck the bike first!). There's a reason that motogp riders start on 125 2-strokes then move up gradually. Besides being safer it makes them better riders in the long run. You say you don't want a 250 but an RS125 will do 110mph (fast enough) and will do 0-60mph in 6.3seconds. Faster than most road cars!
@FPS360MASTER An rs125 will also teach you the confidence you need quickly and to ride fast quickly. If you get a second hand one you won't cry when you drop it (Which you will, everyone does). You could also go for an NSR125 or TZR125 but the RS is my fave. Avoid the RS250 they're too special to ride on the road, if you dropped one i'd have to kill you ;).
your wrong bud put that on a track with a srad 600 and it would be left in the corners about 10 different bike reviewers confirmed the 1999 srad 600 as the best handling stock 600cc inlin 4 ever built.
And the rated best ever handling bike in the entire world is still the vfr 400 nc30
@CR125MANIAC interesting comment , there over ten years old and so is the technology , however , i know bikes of that age are extremely light , example the k1 gsxr thousand is only like 170 kg , compared to my 600 which is 187 kg both dry ofcourse , but you can take it from me on track the new 600 compared with the srad the new one would destroy it in everyway , power , braking , midrange , chassis , suspension , the new one has the better package stock , before this bike , the R6 was king
@CR125MANIAC Nah you're wrong. SRAD is one of my favorite bikes ever so don't think I wouldn't like to agree with you But do you seriously think that 13 years of research worth millions if not billions of £'s has served only to slow street bikes down? Also the vfr400 being the best handling bike ever made? Wrong again. Given a tight enough (very tight) set of twisties an rs125 would absolutely destroy any 400. And an RS250 would beat a vfr400 on almost any road. 2-strokes weigh nothing!
The 2011 is a nice bike but I'm not to keen on the front end :-/ from k6-k9 there the best looking gixxers IMO that why I own a k7 gixxer sixxer :) in blue white
@steveikkona for me the best looking GSXR ,and i mean out of all of them doesnt matter what cc, im talkin about the GSXR as a whole then for me its the K9 GSXR 1000 ,that is a beauty in black ,the front end is awesome ,but unfortunatly that bike in its class is near bottom for performance , its a sports bike and its desighned to be on the track and on the track its well off the pace compared to the others ,this 600 i have may not be the best lookin but its the best performing 600 on the planet
speed woble is a tank slapper and as to the exhaust i didnt want to change me because it sounded good but i bought a cheap 35 quid exhaust to see what it was like and it sound awesome best soundin bike ive heard on a 600 also no need to tune the engine just put the exhaust on ride for 5 minutes change the air filter ang its good to go dont judge it by the price trust me.
@BL4STIN nice review ...if everything goes well i'll be getting my white gixxer 600 at the end of the month. I almost got the 750 but honestly don't want the speed option lol. I think 600 is a great bike since this will be my 1st bike....Ride safe!!
just purchased the pearl white black and carbon fiber 2011 suzuki Gsxr 600 and wrecked due to speed wobble but insurance is covering it gettin another one!
@almostkid14 fuckinhell , hope you where alright mate , what speed was this at , and what does it mean speed wobble how does it happen ??, the other week i hit 150 mph and it felt as stable as ever with no probs , i made a vid of that me doing that its on me channel mate , hell last week on a similar road was doin 120 mph , and a wood pigeon flew out and smacked me dead on the shoulder , the poor thing exploded , blood n guts everywhere , it was extremeley painfull , but bike was still solid
@Thelemongrabber lol i keep mine in b mode most of time , but not cos of the police , fuck them bastards , but to just look afte engine etc save fuel aswell i only A mode it when i wanna bit of fun and give a good blast out , gonna be puttin a vid up soon of how me bike looks now , ive a nice tail tidy and akra slip on , the induction noise on this bike is to die for , i made a vid yesteday whilst riding , look my channel , listen for the induction
I'll prob get the blue one. I really like the black and the red 750 they should of had the option for the 600. Have u riden it in the rain yet, I wonder how the bridgestone tyres are in the wet
@Thelemongrabber if you have the money you can get the nessasry parts from the 750 like the differant colour gsxr on the fairing sticker which is 65 quid for one and the front intake part which is red on the 750 im not sure much that is but id imagine aound the 200 quid mark, other than that everythin else is the same , its the same bike infact but with 14 more bhp. unfortunatly i have rode in the wet , i hate going out in the rain as it gets the bike caked in shit and eveytime i must claen it
@Thelemongrabber the bridgstonee tyres are excellent , both in nice weather and rain and thee very durable , well for me they are .theres barely a mark on them and ive done nearly 3,400 miles , i dont hamme he though i just cruise and every now and then give the throttle a quick blast , in the rain you cant do much but potter around anyway , you need to be upright as much as poss , i just stick her in B mode and ride how ure supposed to in the wet and thats cautious
Great vid dude u got an amazing bike I'm hoping to get one in a month or two. Personally I think the 600 is better than the 750 not worth the extra 1000 for less than 20mph extra speed and more to insure. Surprising how much space there is under the seat. Just got to take off the manufactures sticker that's on the tank and Fairing. Ride safe m8.
First of all credit to you man, good review of your opinion. Wasnt full of facts but...... good none the less.
I'm looking at getting a new or newish 600 ive narrowd it down to the gixxer and the zx6r. only thing ive heard is that the gixxer can have issues with our climate and its elecrics (damp uk weather) realy hope/wish this is not the case. @everymonth1 .thanks mate , the most important thing to know with this review is that the new gsxr 600 , not last years one but this years one is the best 600 ever made , go look at the mcn review of it and there the profesionalls lol , and they agree , , believe me !!! theres nothing wrong with the electrics either i live in england and ive rode in wet and not a problem i mean come on its japanese they dont make stuff like the itallians unreliable shit !! now im suzuki for life GSXR FTW !!!
@BL4STIN Had a look at a few other reviews aswell as the mcn one. I think youre right its the best 2011 600sport bike. I almost put a deposit on the ninja. Glad I didnt now, I loved the carbon gixxer, just not sure on colour. Tempted by the white/black.

yo ur taking it above 7,000 rpm when you only have 250 miles on the bike? ik ur eager to rip man but be CAREFUL you could ruin her by going so hard under 3,000 miles
@xcantt0uchth1sx ok mate , first thing is im not eager to rip i wanna preserve my tyres and chain , secondly ive coverd 1600 miles now and im allowed to take her full revs if i want , i havent yet ive done about 12,000 revs or 11,000 revs thats all . after 1,000 miles you can take her full revs , the maual book tells you like this , under 500 miles no more than 7,000, between 600 and 1,000 miles no more than 11,000 and after 1,000 miles no more than 15,250 which is actually full revs ,
@SwiffTV thanks , thats good to hear , im glad you liked my review and when you get the gixxer you will cherish it for life , she is an honor to ride !!!
i know they do mate , i hate insurance , they are scum i dont want ever insurance but if the police stop me without insurance , im fucked , but if they never would stop me then i wouldnt even look at insurance !!!
@450o054 , well u know what , a 750 is in a no mans land division whereas the gixer 600 has a competitive division like the cbr zxr6 the r6 and the daytona 675 , and plus u dont need anythin more than a 600 , the 750 is the same bike but with 150 cc more and 14 more bhp
@450o054 yeah i dont doubt that in a drag race the 750 would start pulling away abit , , however like i said i prefare to be in a pedigree league and the 600 division is very competitive , with the R6 ,CBR RR , ZXR , DAYTONA 675 , GSXR 600 , i prefare the 600 catergory , the 750 is in its own league , as for the 1000 cc division , yeah i like them as that is even more competitive than the 600 division , im getting in around september , october , a suzuki TL 1000 R v twin as a second bike lol
@450o054 lol no m8 , i only got my licence in march so still tonnes to learn , and wheelies dont interest me , ive had knee almost down round a roundabout , i enjoyed that .
im getting this TL 1000R for like a winter commuter as i dont wanna use me baby in the shit weather and that so this 1000 R will be for when the weather is shit lol
@duke3oh8 Yup, same Q, i'm planing on accuiring GSX-R 600 also but haven't been able to get around one for to check how comfortable it is or if i'm too short for it, thnks
Was in a showroom up in romford yesterday, i was stuck between this and the 2011 r6 and just sitting on the 2011 Gsxr feels right, i love this bike going to pick 1 up next month now my only problem now is choosing the colour lol Great bike and Great Review mate!!!
@LeeToTheVIMusic Thanks m8 , yeah the r6 2011 is the same as last years but still amazing , its next years one u want to look out for as it will have the crossplane crankshaft , which then could beat this , i love this bike to bits , i chose this colour cos i didnt want traditional gsxr blue and white , i didnt want any1 to know what bike this is from a far , where if its blue and white u wiull know straight , the 750 gsxr has the best colours , i may change the colour to a 750 colour in time
@mafiozoBFU I know i am lucky because if it wasnt for the insurance being so high on a R6 i would of gotten the R6 , i love the R6 aswell and its the only bike if any which has the abillity to beat this , they wanted 1,300 a year for an R6 and this suzuki they wanted only 400 , which is crazy as this is better !!!
It must be the fact that I live in the U.S but the gsxr is about $2,000 More than the r6. Every review on utube says the gsxr Is cheaper
