@nazworkshop those were the concepts I was pointing out... the movements were in some ways modified to be incorporated with wing chun concepts... an example is the modified fencing stance and even the lead strike which resembles that of a fencing lunge... maybe I'm not much of an authority to discuss these but I try not to compare the two...
@nazworkshop jeet kune do is a totally different martial art from wing chun... it was based on concepts from wing chun but the movements are not... there can be a lot of similarities between the two but they are entirely different systems...
@Tangkapan This sucks big time! He stands too much on one line. That way in a real fight you will be off balance right away. His body movement sucks and has no energy, No real power. Its lame and overall isnt ready to follow up or to defend a counter attack.
@minasz this really seems awkward but this is the foundation of jkd... I've done some training under his students and it gets better as you progress... try at least 3-4 actual lessons before you judge this...
@joexxv I do know how the ready stance looks like. I just dont feel this is the right way. Again the body is twisted to much. Its almost a taekwondo stance. For streetfighting you must depend on your boxingabbility. That means a good read stance. Look at the way he kicks the front leg. Why are the hands so low. Thats to me a knock out on his chin. Look at the way he jabs. No power, thats becuz of his wrong stance. Look how he moves in, his hands hanging down. Thats another strike to his jaw!
@minasz i see your point... this was the way I was originally taught, although some changes have been added since then... maybe we can exchange some ideas sometime?..
That's the way we do it in JKD, although sometimes there are exceptions. Textbook JKD stance is right lead, but then if you stick to the textbook you don't understand what JKD is about.
There is no secrets in JKD. If there was, then Bruce Lee woud never teach JKD to white people, but he did it and in fact I have Tao Of Jeet KKune Do. So if you are somature, then tell me , about what secrets are you talking about? ha punk?
Awesome!

Lee stressed full contact sparring with protective gear. It is here you discover quickly the strengths and weaknesses of your techniques.

Your defence is too low. One boxers cross and he will knock you out before you even started.
