  • Do You Know that NET became PBS?

  • lol

  • Nostalgia!!!

  • my fav one was the last Pbs Home video

  • Logo #16 was first used when Turner Home Entertainment (Image Entertainment if on Laserdisc) released a few VHS Tapes of "Adventures from the Book of Virtues" under their PBS for Kids sublabel in 1996 after the Turner Home Entertainment logo fades to black, followed by the "Closed Captioned for the Hearing Impaired" bumper before the PBS logo shows up.

  • NET Globe looks like the guy in the globe is having a seizure even though the logo is only black and white

  • NET Playhouse should be known as PBS Kids

  • 1996 PBS is your fav logo mine too

  • Perhaps you could also make a history of the logo of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB)?

  • The 70s was da best!!! I remember...so simple! HA!

  • this is a shit load of logos dude lol

  • 2:14-3:00

I could watch that all day and not grow tired of it. 1998 up till 2000 was the highlight of my childhood, and PBS as well as PBS Kids made it that way.

  • was the one at 0:35 mister rogers voice?

  • Where is a PBS "And on,and on,and on" logo?

  • NET B&W (1962-1966)

  • I like the old CGI PBS logo at 1:53. It was produced for them by PDI and was the first fully computer animated logo produced for them.

  • A local remodeling company, NETCO, based its logo on the late-1960s NET logo.

  • Oh man. The PBS kids logos are a real trip down memory lane for me.

  • 0:05 is my earliest one; in fact that's one of my earliest memories of being alive, period. I loved NET so much.

  • 4:11 gave me nightmares when i was a kid

  • how did you make mr.p into a circle and make everybody fly out of him

  • Propoganda Broadcasting Service

  • @IstvanN1961

Get the Socialists off the TV.

  • 4:36 and 4:42 basically sum up my early childhood.

  • Doink?

  • 0:34 what video is that the talking person background exept the NET background guy?

  • @rjrikkocabs It's Mr. Rogers.

  • 2:15 trough 3:00 this is pbs is wierd

  • my childhood memories of pbs begin with the ident @ 1:30

  • @davidpar2 My childhood memories of PBS for me are from 1:53 onward. Those are all the best PBS logos ever.

  • 2:08-2:13 is the first logo i rembear from when i was little. And i like the ones from 3:00-3:22

  • Comment removed

  • is the logo at 0:02 really still and silent?

  • YES! VICTORY AT 4:35-4:47 LABOR DAY 2011 IS THEIR 12th BIRTHDAY, I THINK.

  • That's Humphrey Bogart's widow Lauren Bacall doing the voice-over for the 1998 variations. Though she's old now, she was a *lot* younger than Bogie!

  • My fav one is the First P-Head.

  • PBS has come a long way since it began!

  • actually im PBS ;P

  • DYK? People who have held the round disc in the 1998 ident include Jocelyne Loewen, Jake Martin, Kyle Hebert, Lynne Thigpen, Michelle Ruff, Chris Rock(remember him?), Steve Burns(remember him?), Gong Li(remember her?), and Bacall.

  • @asw9243 Those I remember vividly bc in the morning i saw them right before the kids shows wbw.

  • Sadly, PBS is getting a funding cut right now.

  • 1:58 - 2:02 That logo has been proven fake.

  • @mudkiprules4

    How so?

  • @TrMike999 I remember hearing from a site long ago that it was a fan made logo. Plus does it even look real?

  • @mudkiprules4

Good point. I thought the person who caught this had a bad camera, but it looks fake because PBS wouldnt have a logo that did nothing. Not even a split...

  • @johnsesame28 Really?! O_O

  • You should have added the present PBS logos!

  • @asw9243 this is from a year ago though.

  • 4:12 i actually remember that. man i'm old :)

  • @nintendaholic90 You think something from the 1990's is OLD?! You don't know the half of it! I'm old enough to remember all the way back to 1:08 to 1:17 seeing it on our black-and-white set and thinking the 'roof' was actually a NET trapping the N-E-T logo! LOL 1:30-1:35 is the one I liked the best because it takes me back to Classic "Sesame Street" and "Electric Company"! Thanks for posting this!

  • where did you get these logos?

  • gotta love 2:08-2:13! reminds me so much of my life as a 2 year old!

  • actually on pbs kids he show two because you notice the first one didn't have the e/i ballon thats the 1993 on the one with the ballon is the 1996 one

  • If they didn't rename it could be like NET Kids or NET Kids Go LOL

  • There was another net logo but instead the announcer says

"the following program is from n.e.t the public television network"

  • PBS KIDS

  • Wow! 10,000 views?! Thanks for all the help guys!

  • @TheLuigifan007 your welcome. we love this retro stuff! :)

  • @TheLuigifan007 you forgot the 2011 PBS

  • Rest in peace, NET!!!

  • the house logo will return in 1966

  • The 7th logo looks like the first house in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood

  • Anyone reminded of 70's Sesame Street at 1:31?

  • 1971 - 1984 is the scariest.

  • @SourApplez1211 I agree with the 1984 one. That use to scare the shit out of me as a child.

  • I believe in the 2002 series there is a variant that says "I am PBS".

  • I can put these logos on some poops to scare Tails on AoStH.

  • Notice that in the 70's and 80's the left eye was being shown, but now in the later ones the right eye is being shown...

  • good work thanks for this.

  • thx u helped me a lot
