  • Wonderfully atmospheric. I would expect you to be whisked away in a Rabbit Hole at any moment. Perhaps greeted by a Leprechaun and presented with a life-altering bargain. Brian.

  • I like the music at 1:50 with the hand in the pool. Such an erie feeling of impending doom! hehe. Delicious tension! : )

  • I love playing with the power than music has over mood :)

  • Jen-this comment really got my attention. One secret to popular videos I discovered, is having a good soundtrack. My views for a hiking vid for example are 10x greater if I use some strong emotional music in the background. And in fact, the greatest obstacle for me as a Movie maker is not the movie itself. It's finding royalty free music that is adequate to stir the emotions. It's fun to hear you are keenly aware of the power of music too! Bri. : )

  • Nice Garden Jennifer

Why did it not surprise me that Joseph is your cat.

  • So Inspiring.

  • From reading through the comments I've come to learn this is Beano. Lovely to meet you Beano. Such purrfection!

  • you live in like.. paradise.. it's beautiful I'd love to go to Australia someday myself..

  • of sum sort this was ver relaxingg.

  • Makes me think of Disney's Fantasia. :-)

  • I do enjoy just watching video footage with music, sometimes no dialogue can work best =) Movies like Fantasia and Baraka are great examples!

  • What song is that? I like it. :)

  • It is from the soundtrack of the film Donnie Darko ;) A brilliant film and beautiful music!

  • Can I move in? lol

  • hehe!

  • nice cat

i love more dogs but this one is cute!

  • Thanks! I've never had the chance to own a dog, but I would like to one day =)

  • the pond made me have to pee but other wise i love this video

  • hehe, water has some power over us all

  • That was wonderful, even my 78 year old curmudgeon of a father( I say that affectionately) was transfixed. Will go look at your other videos now. Thank you.

  • Thank you! And I'm glad your father was intrigued by it too =)

  • this is such a beautiful video, I think it is so artistic, it is so enticing, I wanted to dive into that world, it looked so peaceful.

  • Thank you Kori! =)

  • sure! its just so great to show people how beautiful a simple garden can be, so actually, I should be thanking you for the video! =)

  • yeah, I mean, I watched Donnie Darko like 3 days ago, and it was really cool. My best friend looks like Jake Gyllenhaal!

  • never been captivated by a pond before :)

  • I think I could watch them for hours, hehe ^^

  • looks wonderful there =)

  • Yes, I think I often do not appreciate it enough. Looking through the camera lens like this reminds me of how beautiful it is ;)

  • Although this film has no purpose, it is quite nice.

  • Thanks stuntmasta305! hehe, funnily enough this one has more purpose than one or two of my other videos =)

  • i've seen your video about the stranger and i certainly enjoyed this as well. very beautiful. you remind me of that guy, ricky, from the movie, american beauty, who films ordinary objects or people and turns it into something special. you've totally inspired me. by the way, what is that song you're using for this video, I like it a lot.

  • Thank you watever67! American Beauty is a wonderful film, I think that scene of filming the plastic bag stayed with me long after the film had finished ;) The song is from the soundtrack of the film Donnie Darko.

  • This Is Some High Emotional Material, you managed to inspire me also.

  • Thanks Jarda44! =)

  • I watch your videos every morning for insperation, it's really hard to find videos as insperational as your ones :)

  • Aw thank you, Spombolized! That means a lot to me =)

  • Wonderful video, you are amazing! Even though i'm quite young your videos inspire me to do future obsevations.

Where do you get these idea's for your observations?

Hopefully you make more of these beautiful videos :)

  • Thank you Spombolized! I think my ideas just come from a general fascination with the world, and a love of observing and analysing everything it has to offer =) I hope to make a video of a forest near where I live sometime in the future. It is beautiful there ^^

  • I'de love to see it :)

  • The forest would be simply amazing, the wildlife and the stillness ( well hopefully )

You are an incredible observer I hope you do end up getting the chance to make a forest video. And thanks for replying =)

  • What a great video, Jenny! I've seen your gorgeous Joseph before, but this is the first time I've seen your beautiful Beano. You do indeed have fantastic kitties!:) Also, your garden is very lovely and the music choice was perfect. Thanks for sharing this!:D

  • Thanks M7! They are wonderful cats! Joe is sleeping by my feet right now =) I want to take more video footage of them soon ^^

  • i also want such a nice Garden :x

    but..

i would be too lazy to look after it so it wouldnt be nice for a long time :P

atleast i got a great view and i dont have to look after it xD

  • That is definitely the best of both worlds, hehe! =)

  • Nice adventure in your own backyard. :)

  • Yes sometimes you don't have to travel very far to find something to look at =)

  • Yo grip through the water as if it were air or a spirit

  • beautiful backyard!

i wish i had a pool since we bloody well need it here LoL

love the Donnie Darko music btw

    :-D

  • Thanks Mike! Yes it must definitely get hot in summer where you are!

  • A visual delight.

  • Thank you David! =)

  • Lovely vid, really nice atmosphere!!! I wish our cat was that well behaved...2 seconds in front of a camera and he'd be running! =P

  • Thanks Kyle! These edited scenes make my cats look more cooperative with filming then they were, hehe, they are always rushing over towards the camera to be patted.

  • aw cats are so photogenic!

i loved the bits with the trees and the water too.

a really well made and very atmospheric video :D

  • Thank you Lydia! It was fun filming the water parts, it was such a hot day and the water was nice and cool =)

  • aw of course it's hot where you are isn't it...

    it snowed here last night...

    :P

  • Woof! Was that a Black Panther! It had teeth! I'm glad there were no crocs in the pool! I like trees, just ask Alex! Woof! Very nice! Sincerely yours, Barney t. Dog :)

  • Thanks Barney!! Alas that is a little house cat who dreams he is a panther, hehe =)

  • It sure showed... :) :)

  • Oh look, it's the stalking gait of the cat of the raven of Poe. (c;

Beautiful video, Jennifer. Quite the mood piece.

  • Thank you Andreas! My cat does enjoy a good stalk around the garden, hehe..

  • beautiful cats nice vid and cool bird near the end:)

  • Thank you! =)

  • Looks nice and tropical (subtropical?) Cute cats.

I like a black color cat. and your garden is great! This video make me happy! thanks

  • Thanks Tatsu! =)

  • Is that music from Donnie Darko?

  • Yep, two tracks woven together a bit ;)

  • meow meow meow I love cats :)

    Kim

  • I do too, they are wonderful animals =) Thanks for watching Kim!

  • so relaxing, lovely!

i do cat and dog rescue. my husband and i have a cat colony that started at about 100+. we are down to about 30-35. it took us a year to befriend (no traps used)vet and find foster and loving permanent homes. we are still feeding the remainder and they will have the same care also. takes alot of time. i'm always sooo please to see another animal lover and yours are very happy! kudos!

  • That's wonderful to know that there are people in this world that care so much for animals, the animals definitely deserve such love! Joseph and Beano are delightful cats and I enjoy every day I have with them =)

  • haha Beano.

This was like a fairy tale. I was just expecting a fairy to pop out somewhere. XD

  • I'll keep an eye out for one, hehe!

  • Beano is funny. ;) Joseph surely knows how to strike a pose. And yawn. And lick himself. A natural cat. :)

    You have a lovely backyard.

  • Beano is so hard to film, lol, she always rushes over to the person holding the camera while purring madly. And Joe moves so little that videos of him look like photos!

  • Those two cats are just what the doctor ordered, wish I had them.

  • They are wonderful, friendly cats and I treasure them both =) Thanks so much for watching Em!

  • wonderful video. The music is great and the pics, too. your garden looks like my dreams of a holiday.

  • Thanks felix! My dream holidays is of a cold climate and beautiful autumn trees, hehe..

  • Holy... something! Is that your house? It's gigantic and so pretty! I loooooooooooooooooooooooved the sound of your hand on the water. And I didn't know you had another kittie in your house, tell him it was good to meet him =p

  • That's pretty normal for an Australian suburban house. The land size was traditionally a quarter acre (just over 1000 m²), but is more normally about 800 m² these days (but getting smaller in housing developments).

Hey, you're from Santiago? Cool. I've been there a couple of times. Love the city.

  • Beano is a she, hehe, but I'll let her know, she's a very friendly cat =)

As zebidee55 said, that's an average backyard in suburban areas of Australia. Although I didn't take any shots that really give an idea of the size so you might be thinking its bigger than it is, lol ;) Most of the shots were too close-up to get any scale

  • Cool! Love the cats, and the sound of the wind in the leaves. What was the background music?

    Was that a pomegranate?

    ☺☺☺

  • Music was Michael Andrews - Liquid Spear Waltz (from the Donnie Darko soundtrack)

  • Thanks for that. I have the DVD & will pay attention the next time I watch it.

  • Yes it was a mixture of two of the songs from that film, "Gretchen Ross" as well the one Eddy mentioned ;)

  • I wasn't actually sure what kind of fruit that was but after googling pomegranates it looks like it definitely is ;)

  • Your right it is. I have a pomegranate tree as well. Have you tried eating one yet?

  • I haven't been brave enough yet ;)

  • I think that the pomegranate is delicious. You must try it!It's verjuice!:](i have one too)

  • Mmm, sounds good, I shall hopefully have a chance to try one soon! =)
