what peeves me is even though hufflepuff's seeker got struck by lighting he still caught the snitch after harry got a kiss from the dementors!!!

Simple. As far as I know, if one is flying (having no contact to ground) when one is hit by lightning, it does'nt have any effect.
Well, that's what I think, but I'm not really-really sure...
