Thanks LochRaven62 for posting this excellent live version -- I especially like the odd EQ effect on Ian Anderson's vocals during the quiet interlude.
Hard to believe it has been forty years since I first bathed in the glory and majesty of this album. !971, what a year. The Who, TYA, Stones, Zep and Janis all produced classic albums that stand up right to this very moment. With all respect to these bands, I'll have to place this Tull collection closer to my heart. Thanks to Ian and the boys for making it happen. :)
Truly one of the best concerts I have ever seen- and just a few years ago. He is touring again this year! If you have the chance, I highly suggest it!
I've always liked this song for the musicality of it. I never knew what it was about though. So, I had to check it out. Very poignant lyrics. Thanks, L.

Does anyone know of a version with the preamble as part of the recording? "In the beginning Man created God;
and in the image of Man
created he him."
etc?
