  • Fuckin' Eh! I love to hear stories like that last one! You may be in a support role, but your role is just as vital as the frontline fighters, so train up so that you are ready to step up with the fighters and give them the support they need!

  • As a fellow firearms/tactical enthusiest as well as an AF pilot(E-3 Sentry), I appreciate these videos. This is the kind of stuff I used to love sitting around talking with IP's about while I was at JSUPT at Vance AFB. Good stuff; great lessons and great war stories! Thank you for your service, Sir! - Lt

  • Great Vid !

    Lessons learned.

Risk management and evaluation is something everyone has to learn doing even in everyday life.

  • you got my vote

  • Oh and one more thing Crete is a Greek island so "Crete, Greece etc" is like saying Utah, USA!

  • Well done! Life lessons Nutn! All the best from Athens!

  • excellent video, very motivational!!

  • The nutnfancy I know would have had a spare set of batteries in his fanny pack.

  • This vid. series is great! Just another small peek into the life of nutn (and keepin' it REAL :D), and to top it off there is a lot of life lesson involved too.

    -Solanum20

  • congrats on the retirement Lt. Col. You lived the flying life I am looking forward to in my own Air Force career.

  • is crocket the boom operator?

  • And band of brothers is the best miniseries ever!

  • Awesome vid nutnfancy and thank you for your service

  • Don't be a Caesium

  • The tanker bingo story got me to thinking. Wouldn't it be a good idea if the tanker could use some of the fuel meant for the fighters in order to get home? maybe i should talk to a tanker design dude :)

  • @pete5668 If the fuel for the KC135 & receiver A/C are the same type I believe they can use the entire load themselves. The problem was that Nutn's A/C was on bingo fuel, meaning he only had enough to return to base. Like he said in the vid, after refueling the F16's he didn't have enough to make it all the way back to England. Nutn safely diverting over friendly skies is of course safer & cheaper than trashing 2 F16's in enemy territory because they ran out of gas.

  • @astrowanabe I know that, but I just wondered if bingo just means there's enough fuel in the main tank to return to base, or if he can flip a switch after refueling the fighters and use the remaining fuel to get home.

  • Glad you liked England dude, and yeah, our weather is horrible....

    Really enjoying these vids, thanks.

  • First off i would like to thank not only Nutn but all other users in this thread who have served our country. even if people don't support where our government is going with our military today...it still is a large sacrifice and takes a lot more guts then most people have. Thank you......also what one of "dudios" songs is in the intro to your video ? thanks in advance for the response :)

  • Joining the Military is a stupid idea, because you'll be obeying orders of corrupt politicians.

  • @DZEyoyo123 When do you think is the best time to join the Military then?

  • @n310ea Not until we clean house in Washington DC.

  • When you say nope you sound like chuck testa. Which is not a bad thing.

  • LOL Nutn im pretty sure you gave her name away! Name changed from Susan to M....

  • I guess all you retired AF pilots need an outlet when you retire. Hubby wrote his stories down in a book he gave to his parents for Christmas just after he retired. Always good stories. Yours are similar to his. Must be a tanker toad thing!!! LOL!! Love you tanker guys and gals! There were some good female pilots out there too!!

  • Looks like you and my hubby shared some AF time. He was a tanker pilot from 1985 to 2008. He misses it too. I have heard those tanker stories.

  • NKAWTG...N!!!

  • Nut- Got to ask. Was Mary the Mary Dilda that went on to be a FedEx pilot and Reno Air Race multi-winning pilot?

  • Nut- I'm a 1,400 hr. GA pilot and I agree with your philosophy. When the ceilings and visibility are low, I make myself go out and fly approaches. It makes me more prepared for times when I have a plane full of souls and more is on the line. Thanks for your service and your great guns and gear reviews. You rock, my friend.

  • great stuff nutn

  • AC to Boom,'How bout some coffee Boom?'. Boom to AC, 'No thanks.'.... :)

  • Well I would've watched the whole video but with my son in the background I can't tolerate the language. C'mon nutn.

  • thanks for your service nf my father served in vietnam with the 101 airborne 326 sappers

  • Being NFP is too "patriotic" to answer the question, here is an aero eng:

    watch?v=CtDa7B_LG10

  • Good 'ol Spangdahlem CJs.

  • "Don't be a Chicken Shit"

    Word....

  • Dude, she was coming on to you. She wanted you to express her glands for her. lmfao!

Sorry that was really crude, dont tell Mrs Nutn. I said that. hilarious

  • You mean Austria not Australia right? Just curious if you made a slip up or if you got to fly down under.

  • dewr nutn,

my air force story is about a dead friend who was at the academy in the late 80s @ co. spings, then got chucked into the PJ/FCC job in the early 90s... i've mentioned him you to before. he was a serious do-er. He died because he stuck his head into too many tanks. He would have been a fan of yours if he'd lived. Glenn Koser was a good guy.I miss him.

  • so was the baby on the plane?

  • Pump the Titties Out! LMAFO

  • Express it out! To Good Man

  • Great series, onto part 3.

  • Good stuff Nutn

  • It seems that military pilots are not as professional as civilian airline pilots.

  • What do most Air Force pilots do after they retire from the Air Force, do they get a job working for the airlines?

  • Like I stated earlier my father was in the military 22 years and passed away serving his country. My brother and I have a great love for our military and men and women that make it up. No one branch is better than the other. You need all to make things take place. You gave sound advise to all of us through your experiences and thank you for sharing. Thank you for all the your you put in to keep this country safe.

  • thank you for sharing your memories. This just make me what to be that much better in my MOS or 3531

  • I want to be a Nightstalker in the 160th SOAR.

  • I just want to say that this video was very inspirational, insightful & entertaining. Keep up the good work.

  • What a breath of fresh air to see a Ron Paul add on your video. From one pilot to another, "Thanks for all your Videos".

  • PS: I don't agree with what we did in Kosovo. Kosovo is now the source of all of the drugs and white slavery in Europe. Not to mention that they'll be the major source of terrorism as they're quickly being radicalized by the Saudis and other fundamentalist Muslim sects. Once these Kosovo terrorists start bombing Europe, we'll see the price of stupidity that was Kosovo war.

  • Man, that story about refueling the F-16's that took down the hind was pretty cool.

  • dude i live like 5 minutes away from RAF Mildenhall ... just to be sure that is the Mildenhall in England because if it is ... right on!

  • These stories are awesome!!! This series of videos that you just did are now my favorites!!! Thank you Nutn for everything you do!

  • I'm sure you've heard this before nutnfancy, but I'll say it again "THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE".

  • Im looking forward to seeing a video on your personal pilot survival kit

  • 30:28 GOTTA LOVE the duck face clap!

    FUNNY STORY :D

  • Amazing how I watched TV as an 8-year old about the Kosovo war. Nutnfancy HIMSELF was flying in that war, in one of those over 100 tanker aircplanes.

Quiet professional seems like a smart thing to do in a high speed, quick reflexes and thinking environment like flying. Not defending the other pilot when he shirked away from his duty. BUT some quotes by Patton

"Untutored courage is useless in the face of educated bullets."

"no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country..."

  • I didn't know you worked in Kosovo. You should check out shtfschool d0t co0m. It's written by this guy who describes what it's like to survive WROL in a cut-off city for years. Very interesting stuff, and the guy is very grateful to the USAF for helping to save lives.

  • Really enjoying this series of vids. I am finding that I can relate to all the philosophy points and I am must entering field training. Thank you for sharing and thank you for saving the tatas!

  • The greatest risk is incompetence and cowardice. It will kill you every time.

Everything else is just risks that must be managed.

  • "Pump the titties out"... YES.

  • Nutn, if you turned this into a DVD set I would buy this. Please do!

  • Ever heard of the Tonopah Test Range?

  • "Don't be a Chickensh*t" - Good rule.

  • This is awesome.

  • I am a huge victim of "the stamp" Reserve a-holes that knew nothing but how to CYA, the got stamped through their whole career then we had to go to war and do a mission, they were lost and still trying to CYA, but we were working and suffering becauses instead of being professional and taking care of their people, most sunk, at least one is a GENERAL, why? because the stamp still exists.

  • Dude! You were at Azores? THAT BELONGS TO MY COUNTRY, PORTUGAL! =D

  • You make me miss being an Airman.

  • Well done Nut. As an Air Guard Bastard I have been through some of the same. Wish I would have kept better records! Roll Tide

  • Awesome series you really step up to anything you do, thanks for the philosophy, reviews, run and gun videos but most of all thanks for your service to our country. I have learned so much from you.

  • CBTs = BS training

  • Thanks for sharing. Really enjoying the series. So funny your story when you blew past your turn off when taxiing and the jet blast blew thru the building. So funny. Then again so real, the pilot failed to retract the gear on the stop and go and the resulting disaster. Keep it real!

  • I started watching you for the gun reviews, but this series, as well as "lessons of my father" have quickly become some of my favorite vids! Thank you for producing this series, and I am forever grateful for your service to the country and the freedoms we have as a result.

  • Band of Brothers is the best mini series of all time!

  • Dear Nut,

    are you an airplane?

  • hey what do you think of that marine in the I <3 NY pink boxers taking up post from a while back?

  • Nice.... very interesting Nutn. I dig the music too buddy..... did you ever have to deal with chemtrails?

  • ... everybody screws does... when its real bad you die, sorry, you just do... LOL that made me laugh so hard

  • @SamuraiX6288 Sounds funny, but it's true. If you screw up you might die because of it. Just like driving a car.

  • I appreciate your stories. my grandfather was a colonel in the airforce he flied b25's. Loved his stories. I myself am a commercial pilot and a flight instructor. low time. If i could do it over again i would have done the millitary route. thanks for the stories

  • 1:30 I have that same model of the same plane

  • Love this series. Keep them coming.

  • HEY NUTN' AS A FORMER MARINE (0311 INFANTRY) AND PURPLE HEART RECIPIENT I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR EXCELLENT AND DEDICATED SERVICE EVEN US JAR HEADED GUNSLINGERS CAN APPRECIATE AND RESPECT THE DETERMINATION IT TAKES TO BE NOT ONLY A WARRIOR BUT ALSO AN HONORABLE MAN SO GET SOME BROTHER - SEMPER FIDELIS

  • I'm an Army Infantryman with the 101st Airborne right now and when my first term is up I'm planning to reenlist as a Blackhawk or Little bird crew chief. I think that would be fun.

  • cannot wait to see the survival/E&E kit.

  • This series is great, and while I don't agree with everything you say, this series really speaks to me and agrees with the way I try to live my life and convince others to live theirs. Great vids, home run with these. fedoraguy13

  • "Don't be a chickenshit" - My favorite nutn' quote so far. Thanks, sir.

  • @USAFgoober Destined to be a new nametape...

  • Thanks for sharing nutn, great stories and really informative so far. To be honest this made me want to join the air force a little bit just for the experience. I dont know if I will, but you only live once right?

  • AWESOME life philosophy. ITS TRUE so many people think they are great at what they do but "suck". Once you get past the ego and admit I can be better, they truly CAN BE.

  • love this stuff, thought the intro was awesome

  • "Yeah, I was a little distracted!"

  • Could you imagine the TNP Run N Gun if Nutn could afford an airplane? Run 30 meters, engage left target, five rounds. Reload engage right target 10 rounds. Run 20 meters, take cover. Call in air support, straff run on group of evil roys. . . run another 25 meters. . .

  • @NCSheepdog613 airstrikes make everything more fun :)

  • Love the vid!!! You tell great stories my friend. Thanks for your service to our country!!!!

  • "Don't be a chicken shit man!" - words to live by

  • Wow! Awesome! Thanks for sharing!!

  • this is way too cool and very good advice!!!! thanks

  • This man. He is an incredible man. And we are all very lucky to be able listen to him.

  • @BuggetNuster was that you in some of the pictures?

  • @crailberry there was footage of him, big time.

  • @crailberry It was...

  • @BuggetNuster hey Bugget. Nutn did you right. No footage of nosepicking or the sort.

  • This has been my favourite series so far. Never have I seen something so encouraging and inspiring for those who have career dreams. I love your run & guns, reviews, adventures and other philosophy vids but these just hit the roof for me.

A lot of what you were saying goes along with something I hold very dear - there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance, getting the balance right is what makes one a quiet professional. Thank you for the inspiration to make the extra push to succeed.

  • man these two videos (pt.1 and 2) are the best, most interesting videos I've ever seen. VERY inspiring, it really feels good just to watch this.
