This was his encore tune at this show - and the only time he played the 6-string; he played the 12- exclusively, otherwise.
Neither here nor there, but I remember the old days when he'd walk onstage with a 6-, a 12- AND a classical tucked under his arm, with a mic set up for 'em all. Play a few on one, switch to another for a few more, seamless transition. Guess that's the drawback of A/E guitars - too clumsy to keep unplugging and plugging in, unless all of 'em are wired & draining the batts.
"Thank youuuu!" "Yess!!! at the very beginning, hahahaha, HILARIOUS! But that's how I felt when I heard Kottke play live back in June of this year - 2009. :)
Mr. Powell may be a pleasant plucker on the 6-string, but that Kevin Kopp "Trail Boss" guitar is simply sounding astounding! Those Taylor boxes were just that! There's a new Boss in town!
I could not agree more. While the LKSM 12-string is a very fine 12-string, I never liked the LKSM 6-string. The Kopp seems to 'inspire' Leo to perform at his best.
Phish sucks.

that has to have a 1'' 3/4'' neck... It looks so uninviting yet sounds and I bet plays to leo's standards.

This concert on 3/29/08 was where I first
heard Leo's fantastic guitar playing. I was
hooked instantly! I may be a latecomer,but
I've seen Leo play seven times since then
and had a front row seat to all of them!
William Powell was excellent!!
