@88anson88 The pilot does control the plane, its just saftey precautions if the pilot does something wrong like "Bank Angle" or Stall warning.. The Fly By Wire technology is used on most modern fighter planes and now incorporated into passenger aircraft to maximise the safety... at the end of the day the pilot still does most of the work and the saftey is increased greatly :)

BoeingFreak. You look like you don't know lots of things. Airbus was flying aircrafts with Fly-by-wire technologies in 1987. Boeing is still building aircrafts that don't have them (the 777 is the only flying Boeing with FBW).

BTW, FBW saved loads of people a few weeks ago in the Hudson, while Boeing's old tech killed 8 in Netherlands with a 737NG... Read the reports from the dutch "NTSB". They are quite interesting.

They don't exactly. The first 'colour' they spray over the whole aircraft - the lime green colour- is a primer, so the rest of the paint will stick, and to prevent rust. Then they paint over the whole of that in white, which is the majority colour on this paintscheme. Then they put on the stencils and paint red inside them to do the lettering.

How do I become an aircraft painter? I have no knowledge of painting, but am wondering if it is easy to learn, and I would learn a new skill. There is a job offering in my area for a Finish Painter 1 of air crafts. I would be staining and painting cabinetry pieces. Do I have to have experience for this type of work? I am not artistic at all.
