Lani: Blip vids can go up to an hour (see Spoony's Phantasmagoria videos for proof).
I think that can work for me also. I should try blip two. I am actually building a series myself, so I will consider blip. Let's hope we can work together in the future!

To say they are not giving you anything is a simply not true, they run and maintain a huge server for your and everyone who uses the site's pleasure. Also many people have a partnership, ie they put adds on your vids and you get a chunk of change for that.

At the same time youtube is careless with deleting certain videos due to copyright reasons or whatever. Parodies are completely protected in US copyright laws, and are one of the few "exceptions to the rule" but beyond that copyright law is a bit questionable. If you ask me, they should keep the stuff up until a company complains, but eh, I'm not youtube staff.
It seems to me that making money off YYH abriged is sort of the same as youtube making money of you and in fact all uploaders.
Plus, the money youtube gets then goes to pay for the things necessary to run their website, and of course the larger and more popular the site, the more money it takes to run.
At the same time, isn't you making money off of videos that are not completely your own work and with characters that are not your own also wrong? Part of the reason, I'm sure, funimation is okay with what you are doing is because the parodies don't damage their sales and also because you aren't making money off of it.
Its a complicated issue. Should Youtube be making money off your work? Of course not, but at the same time, the money they make isn't off of you, its off of people who come to the site. Still, its is a bit of a grey area.
I totally understand, I think it's an excellent idea to move....Youtube really has gone down the hill, majorly. I think it's wonderful that you want to give so much back. Once I get a job this summer, I plan to contribute to some of the organizations that I haven't gotten to yet. But as of now, I'm a starving college student, ha.
I like how you mention giving to charity. It makes you a good role model for us random anime geeks out here. I know how it feels to have videos muted. I used a Trans-Siberian Orchestra clip in one of my 10 minute or so videos and the whole thing got muted. Luckily they gave it back when I submitted a complaint that it was fair use. It's just such a load of crock that it happened in the first place.

I tried that. The Video is completly loaded and the video moves like every 5 secconds and it falls behind the audio, and the audio skips. I agree with some people on here. The quality on Blip isn't as good as it is on youtube. At least from what i saw when i tried watching that video link. It gets really... cracky, for lack of a better word. I think you should still post some on Youtube, and on Blip.
I'm sorry but on Blip I can't even get the video to play correctly it keeps going kind of slow and broken up I could barely get the video to pause. Even though you may not be getting any money from your videos on youtube you should still consider that they have made you more well known.

it would be enough for a few fans, and some real movie reviewers. but this many people publicly saying they watched it like that makes me sick because if you have the interest in seeing it and do, they should get some money maybe not 5-10 dollars in each ticket but they deserve a buck.
and if you ask why, it's really because the theater I go to rather sucks. usually I'm the only one in the theater if it's not a kids movie and over two weeks old or on a weekend. so if I don't pay for a ticket they won't even play the movie.

Yeah, blip's awesome. They don't delete or mute people's episodes over bullshit copyright claims. It's total nonsense. You nor anyone else who posts on youtube receives any money for the effort you put out and yet you and everyone else here can get deleted or suspended if viacom whines enough. But you know what? I tried that. The Video is completly loaded and the video moves like every 5 secconds and it falls behind the audio, and the audio skips. I did watch your entire dragonball reveiw thing, *and I am worried even more about that movie* I guess... I'll just have to wait untill I can get a new computer or something. T.T Or watch it on another persons.

Geeze... I feel bad for you, for seeing that insult of a movie. That movie is just an insult to all the fans of DB and DBZ. Infact, if I remember correctly, Goku thought that the 4 Star Ball was actually his grandpa, and Bulma told him what it actually was. Luckily, I also saw it online, but I still felt totally ripped off. That movie SUCKED.

I agree with some people on here. The quality on Blip isn't as good as it is on youtube. At least from what i saw when i tried watching that video link. It gets really... cracky, for lack of a better word. I think you should still post some on Youtube, and on Blip.

I'm sorry but on Blip I can't even get the video to play correctly it keeps going kind of slow and broken up I could barely get the video to pause. Even though you may not be getting any money from your videos on youtube you should still consider that they have made you more well known.

also as to your comment about not wanting the movie to make money. I'd a agree, if so many people were not going online shouting "it sucks it sucks" now I feel like I have to see it to give fox some money
it would be enough for a few fans, and some real movie reviewers. but this many people publicly saying they watched it like that makes me sick because if you have the interest in seeing it and do, they should get some money maybe not 5-10 dollars in each ticket but they deserve a buck.

and if you ask why, it's really because the theater I go to rather sucks. usually I'm the only one in the theater if it's not a kids movie and over two weeks old or on a weekend. so if I don't pay for a ticket they won't even play the movie.
