Project X is on display at the Petersen museum. It has been extensively modified from the look in the movie which was extensively modified for more than a decade as a project car on the pages of Popular Hot Rodding magazine. I believe it was 'Corvette Yellow. Michelle Pfieffer looked good too!

does anyone know what happen to the original 57 from the movie saw at a car show a long time ago and on the cover of hot rod magazine they were the original owners.

I have the original "Project X" Folder that was in Car Craft magazine waaaaaaaaaaay back in the day! It takes you through all the steps of the build! It's original and black n white! It was in a box of vintage car mags somebody gave me it's pretty cool!
