  • my daughter will Love this.. she wants to be a Witch for Hallowe'en~!!

  • kids are so indotrinated by the classic witch evil pointy hat image on tv. What is the agenda of the creators to even include such notions in kids of such a young age?

  • Gorgeous. I absolutely adore it. :)

  • Whats so scary about this?

  • I was never creeped out by it as a kid, but I'm a little creeped out by it now. Fortunately it's a good kind of creepy.

  • A tad spooky what happens to the witch on the right, isn't it?

  • I agree with the pp's this always creeped my out ... still kinda does =/

  • didn't all these have a tendancy to scare us but yet interest us at the same time?

  • Is that Boris Karloff narrating?

  • Mr. Karloff died a few years before Sesame Street even started, so this wasn't him. Vincent Price or Christopher Lee would've been great for it though! To hear Karloff narrate something, watch the timely cartoon, "The Grinch that Stole Christmas" ...and have a merry one!

  • sounds like the narrator is asking us "WHICH?"

  • This one always creeped me out; why were they rocking and holding hands? I never got it.

  • i like theecho; it's spooky

  • They eventually added harpsichord background music for this segment. I thought it was a nice touch.

  • This skit was kinda scary when I was a kid. I don't remember the narrator's voice echoing like that.

  • I'm not quite sure, but I think there was an

    A-Aligator

  • No, they never did limericks for the vowels. Only the consonants.

  • OMG I remember this one. I always liked the waltz they wistled.

  • I never seed this one before when I was little.

  • An important question for our times.

  • The only one of these which is not a poem is the J for Jaguar. It's just a jigsaw puzzle being put together.

  • Wheres the one with J: is For Jughead

  • L - Lion (neddle- nidle-noo and ticky-tacky-too) That's the hard one to find

  • G was Goose.

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you for posting this! I love all the alphabet limericks, and this is a new one for me. If you have any others, it would be great to see them. I'm currently missing C - Cat, G - ?, K - Kangaroo, L - Lion, M - ?, N - Nose, V - Violin, X - ?, and Z - Zebu.

  • M - Moon

  • Thanks! That helps a lot. I've been trying to compile a complete list for a while now, and I'm getting closer to my goal.

  • B-Beard, D-Dog, F-Face, H-Horse, J-Jaguar, P-Penguin, Q-Quarter, R-Rhino, S-Snail, X-eXit, Y-Yak. T I forgot.

  • There once was an old man with a beard who said, "Alas, it is just as I feared: Four larks and a wren, two owls and a hen have all built a nest in my beard." Please post this, somebody!

  • F-Face

    Asleep face

    Awake face

    Smiling

    Laughing

    Mad

    Sometimes a frightful funny face.

    F-Face.

  • T - Turtle

There was an old turtle called Dan

Who set sail on a garbage can.

    It started to rain,

    So he sailed back again,

And ended up where he began.

    T - Turtle

  • Beard, Cat, Dog, Face, Goose, Horse, Jaguar, Kangaroo, Lion, Moon, Nose, Penguin, Quarter, Rhino, Snail, Turtle, Violin, Witch, Yak and Zebu. Jaguar and Violin have no limericks, only music and sound.

  • M-Moon X-Exit.

  • Another classic cartoon. Think we could see the 'C-cat' one? That one has a special part my in my heart.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this!
