1:21 That screen keeps coming up everytime i put in a game, my SCPH-5501 is also broken, thanks to my baby brother.

On European SCPH-100x and 500x models, does it also say`Please insert PlayStation CD-ROM? I'm already know 700x and 900x models in Europe uses that, since Blue screen menus is not until 700x models came out anyway.

Playstation games run on CD Roms, CD roms are cheaper, and you can burn PS1 games on CD Roms.

Does this work with CD-RW's because I burned an image of a PS1 game on one but this disk swap doesnt seem to work. When I take out the original and put in the burnt disk it stops spinning and freezes up on a black screen

looked like what he used was a chewed on straw... i'd probably have to use something similar like a small piece of plastic, btw you have to get it down into the button, you can't just tape it because the hook on the top of the case goes down into the button.. also sometimes you'll get an close disc cover error in which all you have to do is push down on the cover because the button isn't getting pushed all the way down.

oh and can you tell me how did you get the disc spinning without closing the disc door.

look at where the cover goes down you should see a little button that gets pressed down when you close mostly all consoles.

@pandoraxero please tell me what program and settings you used to get the disc to work, i use ImgBurn at 4x and it doesnt work for me and i do the disc swap right.

@DisneysBonkers028 hey well i use alcohol 120% its better and easier and what u do it put the write speed at lowest possible setting raw duo and at the bottem but the playstation format with CD-R discs and if its the cut senes are choppy or gameplay go back to the part where u put ur setting and check sub whatever its called ur welcome :D if u don't want to do that and take chances with img burn the ps1 universal setting is 1x,2x or 4x i say 1x first if it dosn't move up
