hey, I brought this a couple of months back, and although the shimmer didn't bother me (btw, it was more shimmery in the sample tub they gave me, but not so much when I bought the bottle), this is not for oily and even oily combo skin! I don't know if they've changed it this year though as, it sorta had a major re-launch/heavily promoted this year in the UK which is why I tried it!
This foundation is for dry skin and for a dewy finish. Not a matte finish. It is better used during summer. And it's a light to medium coverage. Who told you to buy that foundation ? lol It seems right away that you didn't pick the right thing for you. Hope you found what suits you better. :)
Haven't tried this product. The only Mac foundation I've tried is Select SPF 15, and that one is pretty good. Builtable medium to full coverage, semi-matt finish. Easy to apply with a damp sponge =)

You are right, the sparkles in this foundation are frustrating. I almost wonder if the formula changed some since our first time owning it because we never thought they were bad. Must have just been us being new to make-up. The other part that is not favorable about this foundation is it not the best coverage if you have a lot of spots or redness. It photographs well though! I think many people will benefit from your review.
We keep it to have variation, we aren't so bothered by the sparkle but we can see why some people are. At times it is more noticeable than not. The formula is the part that we like.
Mineral makeup is just not for us all! I have tried (3) different brands and they all look terrible. Back to the liquid or cream "standard" foundation for me!
Sorry to hear about your experience. I love this foundation! It doesn´t shimmer or sparkle on me - I only get a beautiful dewy finish (I am NC25). Good thing there are so many different ones then :-) Have you tried the Studio Moisture Tint? That´s awesome!
No, I haven't tried the Moisture Tint and after disliking samples of the Fix fluid and the Mineralize I have no intention of trying more I think :)) Thank you for commenting :)
Oh I totally understand!! And even though the foundations that I have tried of theirs haven't worked for me I am always so tempted to try all their other ones!!
Hi there! I dislike that foundation for the same reason - I just can't stand the shimmer! Studio fix fluid is the best mac foundation in my opinion, I have been using it for about two years. But after watching your previous video I really want to try the Korres one, though :)

I have combination skin, mostly dry though. This foundation works awesome for my skin.

It wasn't just me then - this foundation is shimmering!!! :) I hate that!
I've tried the fix Fluid too, but I didn't like it very much to tell you honestly - the color looked a bit orange on me I think!
Aww, thank you - this means the Korres stood well on me, but hte Korres makes my skin look very shiny a couple of hours after applying it, be aware.
