@TheWeegeeRage I can't say 100% but if you can convert all the files into the formats I say in the video, which if I remember correctly were .dds files then you should be good. Now if you want to know how to edit it in Paint.net like you would in GIMP, that's beyond my current knowledge.
@KelanX Not at all, Arena Net even said that they promote the use of this. Since TexMod isn't actually increasing your game play in a negative way towards others. You're just editing textures that can only be viewed on YOUR client, or anyones client who has the TexMods that YOU created. So it only effects you and in a neutral manner. They do say that it's not their responsibility if something happens to the game if you do mess with the files though.

Hey, your guide worked very well untill the part where I need to save it as .dss, I extracted the zip file and placed it in the plug-in map from GIMP, but I still can't save it as .dss What am I doing wrong?
I tried it and it worked for me and I also downloaded the new one. All I did was Find the correct DDS Plugin, Googled "Gimp dds Plugin. The clicked the first one. Then the download which got me to another page then the download again.
I extracted only the dds file and this where I put it. Main Hardrive >Program Files>GIMP2.0(The version I have)>lib>gimp>2.0>plug-ins and I pasted it in there. And it worked. When I saved the file all I did was "File.dds" then clicked save. Hope it helped.
Nope. Just you. Unless you give them the same file you load using TexMod. Then when they load it, they will see the edits you have made. Along with their own if they made any.

It's the same way as armor, just use the skill and hit F3 I think, which ever one that only saves the textures viewed on your screen. After doing so edit the colors and such. It takes time to get it perfect.
Keep in mind that TexMod does have a filter key. This allows you to select every texture that is on screen at that current time when the key is pressed. There are a few versions of the same cloud. I advise to use the Filter trick to fix this problem. Hopefully this fixes it. If not I'll see what I can do to help.

Well, it's hard to make because it only changes the skin of the current armor you have on. So you will still have the same 3D model, just different textures. I would need to find an armor that has some similarities to Mark V, which would be rather hard. That's why you can't find it on the internet. I could attempt to make one that seems like it would be in halo though, no promises.

The answer to this question is No.
Only way other players could see the mods you have made is if they use texmods and use the same Mod files you do. Meaning you have to send them to everyone you want to see your mod.
Hey again, i was having some problems adding the Alpha to Logo effect "Glowing Hot" to my weapon, do you know any way to fix this. Or is it just not possible to use Alpha to logo filters when modifying?

I don't mind helping you but The information I know was because I wanted to fix that problem. In your case, I'm not too sure what you mean. But I am willing to help.
