  • I heard this song in the film "4 Lions" and after 2hrs of searching I finally found the song :)

  • Well, it's already definitely derivative. Reductive is a better word for what I mean

  • I actually cannot believe I never fucking realised Blame Game was the same song! I always loved this song, but somehow when I heard mdtf was like woaaah, blame game is a really good song, I wonder if yeezy wrote that. So wrong. Kanye's music is brilliant & all culture is a hybrid of influences, but his arrogance and his plagiarism has become too off-putting. It's bordering on derivative and shit because he's such a cunt.

  • This song is dope as fuck, as is "Blame Game" by Kanye. How about you all shut the fuck up, you sound like a bunch of children.

  • Aphex Twin is a phenomenal artist. Pure genius.

  • @Jonny6228 grow a pair, bitch boy.

  • kanye is a piece of shit

  • this is some cirque du soleil music, my god

  • Salad fingers - Cage

  • Yeezy reupholstered this song.

  • @nehcrow and the winnnnnnner is

  • Iran So Far Away by The Lonely Island???

  • amazing tune. has the ability to bring out many different emotions.

  • Please dear Users of Youtube, check out my version i just finished today, its on my channel!

    watch?v=PCxpVMOaHyE

  • CocoSkills Beats!!! Check em out

  • How ya learn dat?? Yeezy taught me..........Yeezy taught u well....yeezy taught u well

  • I like the Minecraft version.

  • I love Terravita's remix.

  • This is so wonderful. Thank you, I haven't been this moved by such a brief piece of music in a while!

  • I like the Terravita Remix

  • So far this is the only song I like by them. I blame Amazon.com because they have this listed under most popular drum and bass albums and this is clearly mostly piano and not DnB. So now that I'm adjusting to the shock and lack of DnB thereof, that was a nice track.

  • @acoldbrew Nevermind. I just heard the next track. It's like listening to DnB and vomiting on acid at the same time. Ouch.

  • @acoldbrew

HIS music isn't really for everyone, its more of an acquired taste. Oh, and its not DnB, his music takes elements from lots of genres including DnB.

  • Oh my god why is everyone getting so argumentative over people liking different versions of this song? Seriously get over it some people prefer Kanye's and some people prefer the original. Different people relate to different things and your not stupid just because you prefer a another version. Have you ever heard of respecting other opinions? we all like different music. Imo This is a beautiful piece, and i like them both.

  • Kanye West should be hanged, drained and eaten alive by maggots.

  • Heavenly sweet and calm...

  • David Firth brought me here.

  • Andy Samberg brought me here. Not Yeezy.

  • whosampledcom <3

  • Kanye gave this song context. Ain't nothing wrong with that. The lyrics to Blame Game are downright hard-breaking, and Avril 14th suits them perfectly.

  • @adrianbeloo Kanye West the idiot negro gave this song nothing.

  • @TheClarenceter Haha, knew it wouldn't take long for the racism to rear its ugly head.

  • Runaway of Kanye West brought me here..

  • there are two parts in this song i find really hard to play on piano. sad, because its a great song.

  • @panzi45 1:40 got me, but I'm going to keep trying! Haha.

  • yeh not bad bruv but wen easy cums on he got nuffin on rick ross

  • lol Salad Fingers

  • Lol at the arguments, some people have no souls.

  • Northpaw brought me here....

  • @maxchalmers @Vangiotakis I agree. While I like all types of different music, Lil wayne is a guilty pleasure of mine. I like listening to some of his songs just for the beat and because I like the arrogance of his style, even if his lyrics are shallow and meaningless.

  • Thank you Kanye West for helping me discover this song :)

  • I found this song after I buried the strongest man I ever knew, my grandfather. Every time I hear it, it brings a tear to my eye. Beautiful piece of work.

  • @Jonnyg6228 RIP to him dude

  • this song sucks on my temporal lobe leaving it wet and dripping with avril 14th's saliva

    GO TEAM!

  • @DizzyVizion The kiosk in my temporal lobe is shaped like Rosalyn Carter

  • Reminds me of the Coca Cola theme song!

  • Kanye West = gay fish

  • Yeezy taught me about this song.

  • @randy88moss yeezy taught you well, yeezy TAUGHT you well

  • @randy88moss yeezy taught you well

  • @ELCHKE90 Yeezy taught you well...

  • @Vangiotakis stop being a dickhole, music is a subjective thing and bitching about what music some people like is a big fucking waste of time.

  • 2 zer !!!

  • Not sampled it

  • I doubt this song would have reached so many people if Kanye had'

  • @cambodia95 dont be foolish, its a beautiful piece that got recognition

  • I prefer John Legend's original

  • @pidgin blame game is a sample from kanye west, john legend didnt write it

  • Google - aphex twin avril 14th sheet music

First link @ Lapsura has most of the piano songs off of drukqs hosted for free.

  • @queefus so If you are so fucking smart ass as Kanye then please create anything like him and then blame HIM that he is no genius, and please look out for the record label that Kanye is signed to, ok let me make it easier for you its called G.O.O.D Music and it is FORMED and RUN by KANYE WEST. and yeah one more fact you missed is that kanye is not just a rapper rapping some written lyrics he gets, he is a very famous EMCEE, MUSIC PRODUCER and SINGER. now please FUCK OFF and do some research. :)

  • @mustafaVEVO if you only knew... ;-) btw i wonder how arrogant people like yourself would be saying if you you didnt have wikapedia

  • People just can't believe how kanye dig these songs from somewhere and makes a hit song... and you people should be praising Kanye for reinventing Good music.

  • @mustafaVEVO fuck you, you know the record label comes up with everything for kanye (lyrics, beats) ..do some research or at least look on the fucking credits on the garbage cds, that you probably don't buy, before you type a naive/ignorant comment. And if you call putting a bassline and having some dude say "lets play the blame game" over and over, I wouldn't call it "reinventing" more like shitting on good music. To end this, i'll "praise" him when hes six feet under.

  • @queefus ... haha... kanye writes his own lyrics, makes his own beats, finds and chops up his own samples, and hustles like he isn't even signed... I suggest YOU take a look at the credits on the album.

  • @MrPetwor ...and im a african astronaut

  • @mustafaVEVO nope shitting on good instrumental music, making em soulless

  • this is one of the very few songs ...

  • horrible quality

  • you people are so quick to diss Kanye, not realizing that he may have gained Aphex Twin some new fans

  • The last thing Richard needs is gaining fans from Kanye. The best thing about Mr. James is that he doesn't make music for others, but for himself.

  • definitely not the best song on the album

  • Watched Sirens episode 6 funeral scene and heard this piano piece playing. Glad I remembered where I'd heard it and was brought back here again :)

  • Both Avril 14th and Blame Game are good songs. Now shut up and listen to the music.

  • @Moviewxpert

Hell-fucking-no is blame game a good song. Get a sense of good music you dunce.

  • @JetsetRM There is no such thing as a sense of good music, good music is music that can be appreciated and understood. This is a good song, and Blame Game can very well be understood and appreciated by many people. If you don't like a song then simply don't talk about it, if it sucks then why pay attention to it or even talk about it.

  • @Moviewxpert

Because it disgusts me knowing someone still respects a being like Kayne West.

  • @JetsetRM Nothing is wrong with Kanye West, he is a human being who can make mistakes, he actually had the same feelings you had but towards his ex girlfriend, but he just let it go, so why don't you just let it go.

  • @Moviewxpert

Many things are wrong with Kanye. His biggest mistake is having the ego larger than a blimp.

  • @JetsetRM Ok, cool.

  • @Moviewxpert

Bottom line of this "Argument", I despise Kanye West and there's nothing you can do to change that. Stop trying to justify his actions.

  • Comment removed

  • @JetsetRM I understand we have different viewpoints and I respect that, I just try to get people to understand other people, being misunderstood is probably one of the biggest problems in this world.

  • @Moviewxpert

Well I admire your calm nature, so I'll give you that.

  • @JetsetRM FUCK YOU!!!!

  • @Moviewxpert Fuck off already, you're not supposed to be here defending some shitestain called Kanye West. This idiot should never even be mentioned.

  • @TheClarenceter I'm not supposed to defend Kanye? Who are you to tell me what I can and can't do? Last time I checked, we are all human beings who can make our own choices, whether you like it or not is a different story but that's not my problem.

  • @Moviewxpert You are not supposed to defend Kanye the negro on an Aphex Twin video.

  • Comment removed

  • @JetsetRM It's a very good song. Avril 14th is also a very good song. I bet you're one of those idiots who thinks Richard D. James is some kind of musical god and all other music is inferior?

  • @richardjohn89

No. I don't even know who Richard D. James is. Great assumptions there buddy.

  • fucking mainstream

  • Thumbs up if Iran So Far by The Lonely Island brought you here (@1:26)

  • YEEZY BROUGHT ME

  • @Spiceman333 like shytt it barely sound like it he changed it up 95% why everyone hating my man

  • Avril is april in italian. wonder what happened on april 14...

  • @aphexfire aprile is april in italian. avril is french.

  • @aphexfire I thought April in Italian was Aprile?

  • nothing wrong with being captivated by someone who is a little headfucked. I get to see what his view is, through his work. He's a Head fucking Genius!.

  • He don't play nothing like this live! He's a bit of a headfuck to be honest

  • this song is so warm and inviting it reminds me of a Sunday spent indoors due to a blizzard, every aphex song takes me to a diff mind provoking universe its uncanny.

  • all my favourite songs are ones which can successfully mix different feelings and emotions - songs which can leave the listener on edge, or totally relaxed - with beautiful, but minimal instrumentation and the perfect length. this is definitely one of them ;)

  • Love Aphex Twin, Came across this vid. I had a feeling of, "where have i've heard this?" Kanye! Omg so this is where he got it from?... this or Marie Antoinette Track...

  • @kittyknib aphex twin came out with it first

  • Listen to this version of the song slowed down by a thousand (its on youtube search it) and play this at the same time.... gorgeous

  • how can AphexTwin do such different things! :o I mean of course an artist has to be diversified in his art but listen to some other things that he did, .. wow ..

  • Streets of Berlin + Aphex Twin, 14th Avril

  • @brancaday search for this

  • Beautiful. Reminds me of Eluvium's 'Radio Ballet'.

  • because it's funny, and andy samberg is awesome. what's wrong with sampling anyways?

  • how come no one is mad that Andy Samberg/Lonely Island sampled this on "I Ran"?

  • my childhood dog just died. this one goes out to him. rip lil buddy!

  • Love this track. This track is light but still maintains the air of solitude and mourning.

I made a tribute music video for the track using the actual recording. Its the video to the side my mattf1990. Hope you guys like it.

  • why are you all giving so much of a fuck? Yes Kanye sampled it. He didnt STEAL it, he SAMPLED it. if you dont understand sampling then you dont understand a part of music, because sampling plays a big role in it. Its more like paying homage and creating something new from it than it is stealing. but thats beside the point anyway, all the time you spend arguing in the comments your missing out on the beautiful video and song. I like both Aphex Twin and Kanye. quit criticizing every fuckin thing

  • just wish it was longer..

  • I'm sure all artists get inspired by other songs, and they all use their inspiration differently. Kanye and John didn't steal the song, they were inspired and made their own version of it! I think it's ridiculous that someone would call him a pathetic artist for that. Kanye is a great artist and his music is fabulous!

  • stolen from kanye west. what a pathetic 'artist'

  • @DakaSha funny

  • @DakaSha xDx DxDxdDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDXdxDxdDXdxDXdxDXdxdXdxDDXdxDXDxdDXdxDXdx

  • Oh god, go away. I don't care if you fuckheads like Kanye West. I'm more pissed that you idiots come in here and say something along the lines of "OMG BLAME GAME" like fucking sheep. Now all of the comments are "Kanye West this" and "Kanye West that". Jesus, you people suck the fun out of everything.

  • @alexsweeley OMG BLAME GAME!!!!

  • I don't understand why all the visible comments have nothing to do with the beautiful music in this video. It's a magnificently artistic song. Many people will like it. Some people will remix and do other things with it. I consider that a compliment to the artist. Isn't imitation the highest form of flattery? Can't we all just appreciate the fact that we get to be alive for the brief moment in time when this song existed?

  • @SpennyPwns hahah art history? 3 years of art!?!/ no way that means you know everything their is to know about art right? shut the fuck up . your dumb

  • @Vangiotakis I'm not the one saying I know everything man, it's the guy that won't stop responding to me. He complains that I have issues with him disagreeing, yet he keeps talking, like he has something to prove.

@BabySefus But you keep talking. And you obviously think your some hotshot for going to community college, and that's a stupid concept you have. Grow up man. You're obviously the one that keeps coming at me, weren't YOU the one that insulted ME for not liking Kanye? You're a dumbass.

  • funeral song<3

  • wow lol. the most mainstream-friendly aphex twin song was sampled in two hip hop songs and a film. only if rdj decided to pander to the masses a bit more he could be a billionaire!

    thank fucking christ he doesn't.

  • OMG, i just wish i could express i what i feel while i listen to this... it's amazing

  • need the sheet music now

  • Its a beautiful melody in its own right but thats not to say that Kanye didnt make it just as good on his own album

  • @BrooklynJEW7 yeah dude when i listen to aphex twin all i can think is damn you know this needs? some guy rapping. ugh.

  • lool nothing is too crazy

  • Sorry but I do not understand the discussion. Is this song is Aphex Twin or not? thanks

  • @norberto1597 Thi song is by Aphex Twin, and Kanye West sampled it to use in his own song "Blame Game"

  • I love this song! i was watching four lions and was like, hey this sounds like blame game by kanye, and kaye is my idol, so i was happy;-)

  • YEEZY BROUGHT ME! jkjk thats kinda gay

  • I don't even care that Kanye sampled the song, it's just that he did such a shitty job with it. It had such good potential. And he the outcome is shit. It's always shit. Kanye's shit.

  • @SpennyPwns your shitty kanye did good with that song he could have did better but it wasnt terrible

  • @SpennyPwns that was a great song, are you kidding me?

  • @BabySefus

Nope. It's nothing new, just sounds like every other shitty hip hop song. It barely even rhymed or had flow. Just like most of Kayne's work. Very overhyped.

@jaysanchez96 So what? Just because I can't throw down a shitty flow and barely rhyme to a beat doesn't mean I can't point out that it's bad. It's like saying, "You don't have the right to say cancer sucks! You've never had cancer!" Idiot. Yeah, I can't do better, that's why I keep my arrogant, whiny, and overhyped mouth shut.

  • @SpennyPwns hip hop doesn't have to have flow, it's a way of telling a story, open versed poetry. dipshit. Apparently, you aren't smart enough to realize that music can have any feeling, or style, it's emotional expression at it's finest. I personally like the song and if you don't, that's fine, so be it.

  • @BabySefus If I wanted poetry, I'd read it. I wouldn't listen to it. That's the dumbest point ANYONE's tried to make me about Kanye. And I've heard a lot. Music is about listening. I want something I can feel. I can move to. And unfortunately a guy talking just doesn't cut it. And trust me, I'm sure you like it, considering you have to back him up and make sure his work is known as gold. I'm sure Kanye went on YouTube, and saw my comment and in turn, was very sad. But then he saw yours! Joy!

  • @SpennyPwns I'm not "backing him up". I'm just stating that it was a good song. You see, the thing is, hip-hop is much deeper than you so realize. If you want something you can move to, go listen to the Top 40 Pop Charts, or Lil' Wayne, real hip hop is about expression of deep emotions and telling life stories. So stop being butthurt and gtfo.

  • @BabySefus You're the one complaining and you keep responding. Why are you telling me to get the fuck out? Sounds like little elitist prick has an identity crisis. Top 40 pop charts don't sound nice. Simple. And you're so superior to me, because you label talking as art. And isn't Lil' Wayne hip hop? Really, there's some nice literature out there I think you'd get a kick out of, since your a emotional expert. There are these things called "Novels", they were made for the mentally elite, IE: You.

  • @SpennyPwns I never labeled talking as an art, you're so fucking stupid, he's not talking, he's rapping. Lil' Wayne isn't hip-hop, he's hip-pop, makes his music about smoking weed and degrading women. His lyrics have no point to them, no story to tell. Kanye has a story to tell and it actually does rhyme; if you've even listened to the song thoroughly you would know that. Literature is for people who fail in life, and never become anything but an English teacher's masturbation idol.

  • @BabySefus And shitty music is for people who live in basements, and never becomes anything but something for a pudgy little shit to defend on the internet. You're saying that because this guy makes 3 minute verses of poetry he's a real artists, but actual poets and writers don't succeed and require LESS art? Bro, you're an idiot. Yeah, unfortunately I can't listen to one of his songs fully, because they're trash. Grow up man, you obviously know nothing about art.

  • @SpennyPwns I can write a poem in five minutes, but it takes time to connect a story with music and make it sound good. You use the same excuses each retort and it's getting fucking old. I know a LOT more about art than you do, I've taken 3 years of Art, and Art History, so don't try to dumb me down with your stupid bullshit mantra about how I know nothing and I'm stupid. Sounds like you know nothing, you're just a fucking idiot that has an issue with someone disagreeing with you.

  • @SpennyPwns dude lil wayne? he can go suck a dick his songs arent deep they are fucking dumb go to bed and grow the fuck up and start actually listening to good music

  • @Vangiotakis What the hell are you talking about? I don't even listen to Li'l Wayne. In fact, I hate almost all hip-hop/rap. There's only a little bit that I like, and he certainly isn't in that bit. And also, why are you so hostile over a misunderstanding? Sounds like you need to grow the fuck up and start actually reading.

  • @Vangiotakis yea people dont understand that wayne's music as no depth or meaning to it. When you strip it of all the theatrics, punchlines, and fast flow you have nada... music is supposed to be food for the soul.. home cooked food. Wayne is like taking a pill a day thats supposed to have the same nutrients as 3 meals.. hes not organic at all.

  • @Vangiotakis i feel like dying is good. just saying, you being a big ole meany

  • @SpennyPwns How can you even say that? I'm pretty sure you cant even do half of what he did.

  • Marie Antoinette brought me here! lol

  • this song is on salad fingers!!

  • rubber dingy rapids

  • @Red91Blood Look at the rabbits Waj!

  • @PirateBobLadYar has your dad ever bought jaffa oranges. yeh, he's buying nukes for isreal

  • anyone have any suggestions for piano compositions like this?

  • Wish it was longer.

  • Marie Antoinette. :)

  • @kratokhvilljack you're doing this sort of comparison: "don't listen to Arctic Monkeys, they don't know how to play guitar! you must listen to Satriani". different sounds. this song has atmosphere. Liszt has it too, but in another context with another musical structure much more complex. don't judge people by their musical taste and don't judge music by the techniques that are or are not used in a composition. if you understand music, you know that music is much more than techniques.

  • @89HaRu Amen

  • This + rainymood = bliss

  • Comment removed

  • The blame game Kayne West

  • This song reminds me of a dark, rainy night. I don't know why. It's so atmospheric, there's a real presence about it. Beautiful.

  • take it easy for god sake you people are totally uneducated you think this is some quality music or something this piano is as simple as a justin bieber song...thats why it has that many views,,,if you want to listen to quality piano try to listen to a list etude ...see the fuckn difference

all of you suddenly became music experts or something this is like POP Piano or something like yann tiersen and thats the reason that even a 12year old kid will like as he likes bieber.nothing special

  • Every time one goes to a song Kanye sample, one finds a bunch of ppl who don't know how sampling works, and a whole bunch of ppl mad that Kanye sampled a song from their favorite artist. Sampling is not just taking another artist song, they have to get the original artist permission first and pay them. Instead of being upset at Kanye sampling the song be upset at the artist for selling the rights to song, they always have the option of saying no and not taking the money.

  • @jayjayjj718 they dont always need the aritsts permission, I hope youre right and richard gave his permission, and it wasnt his record label who gave it the ok.

If he did, kanye is a lucky guy, Aphex wouldnt do it for the money, but because he liked the song, this is something richard never really does, and he wouldnt collaborate with bigger names than kanye, He usually only collabs with people you never heard of in the hope you expand your tastes, not to make a quick buck on a generic song.

  • @jayjayjj718 It doesn't both me that Kanye samples other people's work. It bothers me that he consistently does almost nothing to the samples he uses besides pitch/tempo changes and adding a beat.
