  • oh yeah 5 years later......SAME AGE!!!

  • wow. i played the same thing at school and everybody was like oh my gawd. and i bet you if that girl went to my school everybody would be like 'you got pawned!' and im in sixth grade!

  • S-something

    W-we

    A-Asians

    G-got

  • I'm 13 and I can barely play this... I've been powned.

  • terrible...i why can a cildren with 6(!) years play it so good? because their parents treated her to learn and learn more...this is not normal, is it?

  • too slow, but very good for a young age.

  • what a tempo.. it actually sounds good!

  • every video of a child playing piano turns into a discussion about raising one's children... honestly it's great they can hit the keys, but 90% of the time it just sounds like a hollow musical shell.

  • hijuemadre china tan tesa ome...

  • To bad she cant touch the pedals. I really hope she can now, 5 years later

  • She's amazing for being so young! Great job!:D

  • Yup, as a Chinese girl who began playing at age 4, I can tell you from personal experience that being coerced into learning the piano ruined my childhood.

On the other hand, the amount of compliments I get now on a daily basis may just make up for the 16 years of misery I underwent.

IDK. It's up to the individual.

  • Ela é fantástica!!!! ó MEU DEUS!

    translate:

She's fantastic! O MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVELY!!!!

  • Do you think that girl is habbpy?

I say no because she is so young and is forced to play the piano.

  • A boy in my class is now 12 years old but much much better and faster

  • Have you ever heard of Emily Bear? She's so good!

  • This piece can sound amazing and not trite and have some emotion rather than just be all about the speed. Well done - I wonder if this girl is still playing.

  • @hepcatintheworld of she's still playing if she was able to do this at 6!

  • amazing i wish my parents had supported me to play music earlier

i think i only achieved the level of playing she has when i reached 16 years old...

    good job!

  • eff i'm 14 and she plays it better than me

  • Much sweeter than the version by the Nairobi Trio.

  • ¡Hermosa interpretación de la pequeña!

" El Jinete Salvaje " de Robert Schumann. " Le Cavalier Sauvage " Robert Schumann (1810-1856).

  • Honestly, I prefer this tempo over some of the faster ones that are on YouTube. As a musician, I can safely say that playing accurately and slowly is ALWAYS better than going twice the speed and missing half the notes.

    She's amazing, btw ;)

  • Good, but a bit slow. I always say, though, that precision always outweighs speed, so this was very well played. It is possible to play this more quickly and still be precise, even cutting off about 24 seconds of time.

  • my favorite of all those here on youtube! Thanks!!!!!

  • Very impressive. I have to get to work on this piece.

  • You are a great player. Keep practising :)

  • This girl just owned me.....

  • ? im 13 and i have to learn this!!!! and i think its hard??? she cant even reach the ground!!!!!

  • really good! I like the speed!

  • She looks awfully BIG for SIX. More like 10 or 12. Are you SURE she's only 6?

  • @PianoTHIS

the camera always add some pounds to people on tv.

  • Asians And their intelligence. A little too slow but good. :)

  • Admirable

  • Wow, Amazing. I'm almost 14, and i'm just learning this.

  • i learned this song 2hr ago the whole thing cuz my piano teacher gave it to me, very fun song, easy cuz it follows a cool pattern if ya can get the hang of it

  • My mums 49 n shes not as good as u

  • its a little bit slow but its amazing! no mistakes at all :D i love this tempo better than how its supposed to sound

  • Amazing! I'm playing this for my 4th grade exam!

  • she's SIX?

  • Oh my god!! That is amazing!

  • omfg... i'm playing this for my piano exam piece... for grade six... and i'm definetly not 6.....

and i can't play it that smoothly yet... im still learning...

  • I'm just learning this, and I'm 14...

  • @Josie957 im 14 too and i would like to learn this, but i tried and its too fast for me :(. its labeled prestissimo, but she plays really good at that tempo!!!

  • @XXXkLeCiIj69XXX Just don't rush it. Learn it at a slow pace and then play it over and over again till you can get it fast. It's worth it. It's a great song. =D

  • @MisterPenguinMusic indeed!!

  • watch me

  • Wow! She is only 6????

  • Piano teachers - you can learn how to teach this piece effectively at

    E-MusicMaestro!

  • lmao.. i play this song at like 2 beats per second.... this 6 year old is HECKA good!!!!!! congrats!!!:)

  • blimey i learned this when i was 14...

  • @Serpentman30 im 14 too and im just learning this

  • aww this is wonderful :) so cute!

    i played this before

the hard part is the speed

  • Wow! Fantastic

  • wow

  • Ole!!!!...y tan pequeñita

  • WOW!

  • brilliant

  • great, really great for that age.

  • I can't play it any faster than she does, and believe me, I've tried! And I'm probably old enough to be her grandmother!

  • well, that's the problem, you're too old.

    xD

    j/k

  • @gonlion91 LOL!

  • wasn't there like a zhou dynasty in ancient china? lol

  • oh right it's just that I am grade 5 with the Royal schools of music and I am learning that piece alongside my grade pieces and I learnt about half of it in a day. I know, it's quite fast isn't it!!

  • your grade 6! it seems a bit easy for grade 6??? what board are you with???

  • Nice!!! cool, I started piano when I was in 2nd grade

  • great job i play it faster but still at age 6 ur very talented!

  • I CAN DO THAT!! tad faster as well. Mind you. I'm 14. Still. That girl is really good!!

  • some kids are just more serious than others...i think my fingers would get all tangled up trying to do that :)

  • chips and bacon and sitting in front of the tv for hours is not healthy . Music is always GOOD !!!! and she plays it really nice hehe !!

  • @xSnoweyexp I share your sentiment in this. I couldn't agree more. :)

    Ron

    ( ;-} >

  • It's not healthy to be so judgmental.

  • solfeggio frecuencies?

  • Wow, that kid has fingers of lightning.

  • I'm about to learn this piece for a piano recital, and I'm about 10 years older than this girl! She has a great talent! Keep playing!! :)

  • look at her hands...

  • wow! amazing:O

  • What a beast.

    Srsly.

  • makes you wonder how mozart sounded at her age

  • and you shouldn't be posting websites for free sheet music...

    a)it can be illegal

    b) it is bad for business for music shops

  • @Kitty95Cat

    A) It depends on the music. I believe after 70 years it becomes public domain, meaning, you can get it for free at your local Library

    B) Music shops do not make their money from selling classical sheet music.

  • WHAT!!!!!!.. hoe could u say tht!!! shes soo beautiful!!! she has true gracefulness... very talented... i totally disagree with thiss opinion...

  • wow!

her parents must be very prOud! quite a daughter you've got there!

    great jOb!

  • Kids should not be learning this stuff at age 6, she's just going to get burnt out on piano by the time she becomes a teenager, in all likelyhood. You need to let your kids excel at what they want in their own time, if this is something that she took upon herself to learn because she really wanted to, good for her, but I feel like the parents may have been involved in that decision. Either way, great performance!

  • I agree. Now the ideal situation would be if she really liked that piano, because she's great at playing.

  • @m8cct

That's like saying kids are going to get burnt out from English or Math or Science. Music is nothing but art. As long as the child feels comfortable playing the piano and their playing does not cause harm to themselves or others there's nothing wrong with it.

Please keep your ignorance to yourself.

  • @jonrd21

I said that it was fine as long as playing the piano was not something her parents forced her to do at such a young age. But if her parents told her at age 4 that she had to take lessons and learn how to be a star piano player, there's a good chance she'll grow out of it, unless, of course, it's something she really loves doing, then more power to her.

  • i'm nineteen years old and am playing this for an exam - it's nowhere near as beautiful as this lady's ! well done :D xxxxx

  • meeeeeee tooooooo!!! iam all tense here!! she plays better than me!!!!!! for God's sake!!!

  • @baasheepbaa - This SIX year old "lady?" lol

  • @baasheepbaa you mean this CHILD'S

  • wow, just look at her tiny fingers...

  • She can play it alright, just like many asian people have some awesome piano tchniques.

But their music leaves me totally cold and doesn't workt it's way in to me at all.

Call it cliché, but with tecniques alone you won't make it at all.

  • She's 6 years old....

  • quin amor de nena...

  • Asian power ^_^

I'm just learning this song and feel ashamed that this itty bitty girl can play it so beautifully where I seem to clumsily stumble :D

  • i learn this when i was 14. =D

    im now 15. lol.

but im now playing harder songs ^^

  • Alright keep it up SAM

  • i play this now and i am 13!!

but i started to learn piono 4 weeks ago

  • С ума сойти !!!Молодчинка!

  • This young lady's performance is outstanding no matter what age she is; being six years old is and should be inspiration to us all....

  • Wow I get to learn this song until I was like 8 or 9... Particularly easy in my opinion. =(

But still fascinating for a six year old.

  • Its good for a 6 year old, but it doesnt surpise me i guess, its a pretty easy song.

  • A Tad Too Slow But Still GOOD !

  • OMFG!!!!THIS KID IS AMAZING!I'm a clarinetist and I just gave up.....she just made me feel like I would never succeed in that profession.

  • wow, i'm not even a pianist and i believe i just gave up as a musician after watching that

  • wow lol im learning this on guitar and this kid just raped the song! AND SHES 6!

  • Oui c'est vrai le plus dur dans cette pièce c'est de tenir le rythme égal. bravo

  • JEEZ! im proud if i can master a little begginers song :((((( WOO u go girl :P

  • prodigy...i'm 13 and have finally mastered this song...geez

  • she plays it so smooth, love how you dont rush. great timeing!

  • wow... im 17 and learning this right now..

    =/ i feel so old..

lol that was really nice though.

i thought it was cute how her feet dont even touch the floor.

  • This was 3 years ago so I wonder what she is playing now!^^

  • haha prolly liszt's hungarian rhapsoday or something or something by rachmaninov

  • sugoi desu!

    suki desu!!

    ^^

    ganbatte!

  • Gorgeous!!

  • That is precious. Bravo Karen.

  • How does she reach an octave with those hands?(at 6 years old)

for people who want to learn this, check out my tutorial.(part 2 will be out soon)

  • Comment removed

  • nice.... but i bet her parents slave her on it.

  • aww shes so cute!

and shes really good at the piano!!

  • I played it quicker when I played it.

But I'm insane. And enjoyed destroying my hands.

    Nice playing

  • you play awesome!!!

  • That girl is amazing.

    =]

I fail at playing Bach...and Chopin.

    XD

  • That little girl is absolutely amazing. It's like a gift from Heaven when she plays. :)

  • That was awesome. She's great for her age and will only get better. If people are going to criticize her can they at least upload themselves doing a better job?

  • Yes, she is great for her age, but it lacks emotion. And without emotion there is no essence to the music. If one is going to be playing such a piece, pour your emotion and feelings into your playing. I am 15 and have played since I was 4. Additionally, there is no phrasing, just a series of 16th notes. There needs to be emphasis where the phrases end and begin, so that it is not so boring. Nevertheless, it was a mighty feat for a 6 year old. Kudos!

  • you are so cool! Playing since 4 you must be a master.

  • Thanks for the generosity! See you in another life.

  • @nostradamusguy dude give her a break she was only 5!

  • @animefreaktk I was very generous to her, just giving advice and saying that it lacked musicality.

  • @nostradamusguy "just giving advice and saying that it lacked musicality"

Which is so helpful to a six year old who isn't six anymore and who will consistently get better as a factor of age alone regardless of the unsolicited "advice" she gets from snobby cretins. Your criticism might be taken more seriously if you actually *were* being generous and offered more than just vague allusions to her inability to please you.

  • @nostradamusguy - Yes, I agree. As a six year old she just doesn't play with the same experience and subtlety of someone twice her age. I'm surprised someone got a six year old to sit still for that long. IMHO, she did a truly superb job, especially being in front of a large audience and on camera. All the small things will come in time. Great job and very impressive for a girl her age.

  • @nostradamusguy

    Your age shows.

This piece does not require, nor would I recommend, playing with emotion. If you want emotion look into pieces such as Moonlight Sonata and Pathetique. And, above all, do not criticize with ill-knowledge. It is one of the worst habits a musician, as well as any person, can befall onto themselves.

  • That was great, Karin!

  • i'm 15 and i still cant play it half as good...

    jeez.

  • i'm 17! and still can't do that!

    i'm almost there though.

but that was sooooo good. like, i'm amazed.

  • SAME!!

its one of my exam pieces...

    ... nearly finished it!!

  • it is hard it is on grade 6 . im 11 and im on grade 6 i can play it as well but she is sooooo young!!!!

  • Cool! Great job! I am thirteen and I played that two years ago! Keep up the good work!

  • chinese discipline!

  • okay thats not sooo special...my brother is 8 now and he plays that maybe a bit slower but with pedals....it´s his obsession

  • not actually up to speed, but i gota give credit to her.. Shes 6.. well shes 8 now this was 2 yrs ago lol so i wonder wat shes playing now :D

  • when i see little kids like this play, it

makes me wish i would have started that young

too, but then i start to think at that

age you just wanna be a kid live a litte go outside and get dirty as im pretty sure this little girl spends her time practicing, so in a way im kinda glad i didn't start that young

  • sight readable or not....shes 6. very well done!

  • aww her feet can't even reach the pedals:)

    dang she is good!

  • This is played at the perfect speed. I can't stand pianist who try to race through this piece at rocket speed.

  • I totally agree!

  • She's so talented...I'm amazed her hands can stretch to reach an octave. Excellent job.

  • this is actually an excercise piece

  • Im pretty done with this piece, and im 13... Annoying that a 6 year old kid is better than me...:p

It sounds better with pedal though, but whe she cant reach them, hmmm...

    NICE WORK!

  • It seems one of the best-kept secrets of the piano business that this piece is almost sight-readable.

  • haha so true

  • what does that mean? :o

  • It means that this piece is actually easy enough to sight-read. Sight-reading is when you play a piece without having seen it before, just using the sheet music without practicing beforehand.

Point being, it sounds fast, but it's really not that hard.

  • maybe it ´d sound a way better with using the pedal and speed up a bit

  • She can´t reach the pedals :D

  • OMg!!!

    om O_O¿

  • I agree with m3sslah. To my ears this is the perfect speed, the beauty of the piece breaks down with too much speed, Prestissimo does not mean as fast as humanly possible!

I like the way Karin plays this as you can hear it sounds nice and even - the first few bars are delightful. Credit to her and the teacher- keep it up, very enjoyable listening.

  • She's like seven and she can play 10 times better than me!! woah she's good! (i see a future composer)

  • i play it very fast i geet lost some times but im 11 this kids amazing

  • Wow!!

  • L´arte non ha etá.

  • aw she cant reach the sustain pedals. amazing work tho :)

  • oh my God...that girl is so little and she can play so fast! but, does she like what she's doing? i don't know, some little boys do it because they're parents want. it's strange that she does because she wanted!

i'm not saying something bed against her, she's amazing, but i have a boub...!

  • Be sure, Karin loves music. she only practices 40 minutes at 5 days a week, there is a lot time left for InlineSkaters, her friends and her fishes, the violin and the school :o)

this month she will play with a youth-orchestra ...

    best wishes from germany,

    freddy

  • 100.000 Views, ich fasse es nicht !!!!

    Thx. :o)

  • It's nice to see someone playing it the same speed I do. I can play it ALMOST as well as she does, but then, I'm a LOT older than her!

    She's really great!

  • very good she's a professinal
