All I have to say is you all fail. Any pro drummer? Yeah, right. They could all do the solo, but the solo does NOT reflect the talent of the drummer, at ALL. What DOES, is the beats in the songs. Peart does more complex beats than nearly anyone out there in his songs.

It's moving to see that he's gone back to matched, with some traditional in there, while retaining the circular motion playing vs playing straight through. An artist's style is their identity and it seemed to me he was challenged by his loss and needed a change, but was ultimately true to himself because playing matched is his style and there's certainly nothing amateur about it.
