because you must open paint? if you want to turn the vectorial image to bit map single it selects the image and you press

CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + Z

Fireworks is part of Macromedia's packages. Now taken over by Adobe. It has versions in common with Flash, Dreamweaver etc.
