They were two different fighters. Probert was an endurance fighter usually 2nd wind. That's why him vs Domi or Langdon was always entertaining. Kocur rarely got passed the 8 second mark of his bouts. Their numbers have to do with their fighting about as much as figure skating. I disagree that Probert was an endurance fighter. He HAD endurance. As I recall Twist got his ass pounded by Kocur and backed down from him even after he was roided up. Twist was one of the most useless players in the NHL.

uuuuh,,,,no Twist was NOT in his prime when he fought Kocur asshat. Twist was in his prime in the mid to late 90's when he played for the Blues a 2ND! time and was jacked up on the roids and would DESTROY Kocur in a second no fucking question about it. Sure the roids help. But get fucking real and try to pry your lips off of Kocur's ass for just a second. I am not a big fan of either of them so i do not have a bias opinion. they are both two of the best fighters of all time though.

Why do you think that Twist would destroy Kocur when no one else did? Also, KOcur is only three years older than Twist, so their primes were pretty concurrent, until KOcur began his decline Twist was nothing.

Actually Twist was nothing until 'roids. Watch his earlier fights....nothing special. Kocur was definitely the tougher of the two. I just wish him and Probert wouldn't have always gone so easy on each other because of their close friendship. That would have been a fight to watch! Bruise Brothers sibling rivalry!

The announcers refer to the player only as McGill, but which McGill is he- Bob McGill? If so, then they fought years before this when he was with Chicago and Kocur with the Red Wings. The punch here is legit incidentally; it makes Kocur's legs go rubbery then he falls. The last to do that to him was St. Louis's Herb Raglan.

It was a Saturday afternoon game that the Islanders defeated the Rag dolls in during the 1993-1994 season and the fight took place behind the Islanders net and Malakhov gave Kocur a beating. Trust me I have been looking for this video all over the place just so I can shut all Ranger fans mouths up.
