3D Gaming, Blu-ray movies, free online play, DLC Sharing, PS move is more successful with over 40 great titles while kinect has rubberball slapping and dancing games, playstation home which is 100% free social networking with a lot of minigames to play for free, chatrooms, ps3 has a lot more hit exclusives.
There's a huge difference between the two. You'll see it when you use the ps3 at it's full potential :)

@popolynn2 Kinect is far too limited. You can't even free roam with kinect. I saw the whole world of warcraft thing, but the guy could only do about 4 things, and you need an incredible amount of keys on a keyboard to play any mmorpg. Buttons are an absolute need for hardcore gaming. If they weren't then nintendo would've done controller-free gaming a long time ago.
Kinect will work just fine for basic fighters, dancing, weight-loss, and maybe even arcade shooters that force your direction.

the 360 controller is very ergonomic, it feels solid, it has weight.
I only saw 2 games on that list that I would actually purchase for mor than $40.
KZ and resistance are mediocre titles I'd never look at twice.

@popolynn2 I wouldn't buy halo for for $20. So your statement doesn't mean anything. The fact is there are more exclusive hits on the ps3 which gives it a better experience for the majority of gamers.
and no they don't look smother on xbox. I watch comparisons all the time for the entertainment of all the fangirls crying over graphics and the only difference is contrast. Xbox has more contrast and ps3 is brighter which can easily be adjusted by tv settings.

@popolynn2 Kinect is far too limited. You can't even free roam with kinect. I saw the whole world of warcraft thing, but the guy could only do about 4 things, and you need an incredible amount of keys on a keyboard to play any mmorpg. Buttons are an absolute need for hardcore gaming. If they weren't then nintendo would've done controller-free gaming a long time ago.
Kinect will work just fine for basic fighters, dancing, weight-loss, and maybe even arcade shooters that force your direction.

honestly, I hate sony because they are sleazy. Their mascots creep me out they rip off Nintendo (the best console this generation btw) ever time I use my ps3 I never become immersed in the game half the games originate from japan. they don't treat us seriously, look at the old psp add campaigns.

I have both consoles, I can honestly say that:
Games = 360 (Only game that I found fun was Gow for ps3)
Online = Both. (Ps3 cause its free, 360 cause most games are fun online)
Console = Ps3 (Cause it has more features)
Disc Space = Ps3 (It holds more space)
I find xbox 360 more fun then ps3.
Even the home system sucks dick. You have to pay for the stuff.

I had a 360 through 2009 and I can honestly say that
Games = PS3(Wikipedia and compare exclusives and you'll find you're dead wrong. You'd have to be a Halo and Gears slut to side with the 360. It's trash for anytype of gamer. PS3 is the only way to go for gamers.)
Online = PS3 because it's better for free and you can choose to get PSN+(Sony said they're dedicated to a free online service
Console = PS3(more than twice as powerful than the 360 aside from more better features

@DrStormz Disc = PS3 (PS350GB Blu Ray/360 6GB DVD9 which holds back games because they reach there limit faster where PS3 games usually don't use all the space because they had enough room to make the game they wanted to make.)
MAG/Killzone 2 - these, whether you liked them or not, are examples of the 360's limitations
and games, saying God of War was the only game u enjoyed just makes you sound like a retard as it is basically just hack and slash epic flashy bullshit that 360 can't do

@XxXMacPapXxX Oh. This is simple. Have a copy of both. Have exclusives for each game. Buy the cheapest 360 for a start. So you can get a better version if you like it. If your a gamer that plays for hours and hours and hours straight buy a fan for the 360. It really overheats easy. But makes sure you don't throw controllers or jump around when the 360 has a disk in it. It has a blade that can cut the disks. If you don't like the ps3 its your opinion. Just keep both.

Cool mods man. You are right, the best console is the one you like the best. No one can state as fact that either console is best due to it being an opinion. My opinion is after being on my 4 360 that the ps3 and wii is the best as far as hardware goes. Like you say both have great software.
