  • Still love them, and fuck you kid I was cool once, this proves it. Ha!

  • Behold.... The influence of jangle-pop becomes ye. My love of all things dark and crazy rock & roll produces. This would be one of them. All-time top jangle-pop album for sure. Thanks ARCHERS for showing us pop-rock is really rock.

  • YES

  • A great bunch of cool guys, especially Mark Price and Matt(damn, what was his last name?). I used to work at a bike shop with them in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, NC. I think Mark is still made at me for changing his middle name to the nickname of "Down", hence Mark "Down" Price. I haven't seen them for years, I'd like to catch up with them.

  • McDonalds advert on an Archers video ... I feel unclean

  • @Rabbitfalls AV Fest, Chicago. Sept. 10-11. Free ($10 suggested donation) all ages show. They're headlining on Sunday. Bunch of other great bands going to be there too.

  • Every song from this super great EP must be listened to at least twice in a row because there is no way one listen can satisfy, they are just too short.

  • They kinda did the "matrix thing" in the chorus before the matrix!

I love those guys, been my favorite since icky mettle, saw the four times i think. My favorite album ever: all the nations airport.

  • when i say modest mouse though i mean early early ..

  • @RalphusXL pavement sound more like archers than any of the other bands that have been listed.

  • Rabbitfalls, you is soooo right. Have seen Eric his last two times out here. It is truly a wonderful mix of all invloved. Archers iS indie.

  • @RalphusXL THERE IS NO ONE LIKE ARCHERS OF LOAF. THEY ARE INDEPENDENT ROCKERS!

  • @RalphusXL Well, not really exactly like Archers of Loaf, but some other bands I like are Yo La Tengo, Guided by Voices, Fugazi, Velvet Underground, Built to Spill, and Sonic Youth.

  • @RalphusXL Sonic youth bro!

  • p-p-pavement, polvo. Getting historical & to the roots replacements, kinks, mission of burma, nation of ulysses, the milkmen, descendants, black flag, just mad classic punk. i'm new to this myself. youtube is your friend though.

  • Archers Of Loaf is the coolest

  • Best band ever. For some reason, this band hits me deep down. Love it AOL!

  • Best indie rock band, ever. (IMHO) :) booted a few shows in Boston back in the $5 cover days. Awesome.

  • Saw these guys live at the Cog Factory over a decade ago; definitely was a great show. Although I don't doubt that it's unlikely, if they did do a reunion tour, I'd be all over it even if I had to travel.

  • the greatest bandin the fuckin world as far as im concerned

  • Eric (not the singer) played a bit for me today. Amazing after the time apart.

But after my dad made a comment about them getting back together for a tour he said he highly doubts that.

He's my cousin, but i would love to see them live.

  • Distance is up, static is down.

And all the east coast, has burned out.

Save for me, save for you.

Theres nothing here to f*cking do.

  • Archers of Loaf has the most interesting way of combining noise and making it into amazing harmonies.

  • This band was cool as hell. Man, reminds me of smoking herb as a freshman..lol

  • love the Archers, Bachman is a genius; i remember thinking way back when that they were the first band I knew that seemed to be influenced by Pavement

  • Great song; great band. Have always liked AoL. I remember seeing one of their vids on an episode of Beevis and Butthead.

  • sick

  • awesome!!!!!

  • Damn, I love all the love for AOL! You guys are great! I haven't felt this fucking proud to be a part of a collective in a long time.

  • Holy shit they are flawless!

  • Ah this brings back memories... I was the director of photography on this video. 8 borrowed video cameras, 200 feet of 16mm film and shot on a budget of less than $500 in about 4 hours.

    Those were the days.

  • nice!

  • If only it was cricket and Archers, then it would be an awesome video

  • best song of theirs, for sure...i remember seeing them in 94 or so, and screaming for this one until they played it. or maybe it was "what did you expect"...

  • I caught on to these guys in '95, DJing at Concordia University in Montreal - Underachievers made our playlist. I'd never heard anything that brave and whimsical and rocking all at the same time. Wish I could've seen them live. I think the Arcade Fire might have been listening...

  • If you grew up in the early 90's in the Carolina's this was your jam

  • So true... Played every Thurs or Friday night

  • most incredible video ever

  • Never heard of this band before now, but damn...I'm impressed. Fucking great.
