The Constitution is based on christian values. The inalienable rights doctrine is based on the belief that God gave us certain rights. Without God, inalienable rights do not exist. As for same sex marriage and abortion, as proper christians we cannot stand back as God is mocked and children are murdered. There is no separation of Church and State in the USA. The Pledge of Allegiance clearly says we're a nation "under God." Even our money says "in God we Trust"
